Try beta v7.50, keeping in mind that this is a test version subject to change. If clips still snap, reinstall - perhaps several times, until they don't. There should be a right-click option in the audio track to SHOW BEAT LINES IN WAVEFORM.
  2. The issue that instigated this thread is fixed in beta 7.50. User audio EQ presets not reappear in the graph upon reloading. Bear in mind that this is a test version, subject to change.
  3. Try beta v7.50, keeping in mind that this is a test version subject to change. If it still snaps, reinstall - perhaps several times, until it doesn't. Report back on your success.
  4. Check out beta v7.50, keeping in mind that this is a test version subject to change. Your VOB now plays in sync.
  5. Some VOB files, perhaps. Tested yours in an online Mp4 converter. It wouldn't accept the file. But it succeeded quickly with a VOB that was created years ago with Freemake. That hints something non-standard about your files that prevents certain apps from handling them correctly. Hopefully this will be a moot point in the future with VP.
  6. Your license should never expire. Re-register that version or any update within six-months of purchase. After that time there is an fee for a later version, but if you are happy with yours simply keep using it.
  7. Mp4 is a container. While video H264 and Audio AAC are the VP export default codecs, there are other choices. Others may have been used to build these files. Normally, Mp4s have no sync problems.. Some VOB files have, as noted in this thread. Most work fine. The conversion of an errant VOB file to use Mp4 may have migrated the fault. Version 7.10 initially fixed VOB sync issues but they resurfaced. Stay tuned to this thread. As for grouping, http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win/editing_linkedgrouped.html
  8. The music was from the NCH library? It should be royalty free. Tried another cut? If this persists file a bug report by clicking on the envelope at the top-right of the VP window.
  9. Ciertamente. El recorte está disponible en el menú de efectos. http://nch.invisionzone.com/forum/165-videopad/
  10. You may be correct about not all being created equal. Another effort here, using a very short GIF, acted similarly to yours when slowed; it vanished from the sequence.
  11. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/29305-autosnap-and-more-problems/?tab=comments#comment-76415 Improvements are in the works. If <alt> is held while dragging, nothing should snap, and a gap will be left. To drag not just a single clip, but all clips, select those that are to be dragged, right-click on one and group them. Then all in the group will drag right, leaving a gap. Works fine here.
  12. The slickest way to land on clip edges is to use the buttons under preview. ||< and >|| No guesswork. Shortkey keys are <shift-left> and <shift-right>.
  13. No telling if all GIFs will behave as follows, but this one displayed well and could be lengthened by changing its speed (50% in this case). v7.39. Wasn't this an issue that was corrected awhile back, or is my memory faulty?
  14. Seeing slightly different behavior in v7.39. When composing one S/T sequentially, clicking ADD normally will jump the marker to the end of the previous subtitle. S_T.mp4
  15. As you may have noted, the anti-snap feature is being worked on. I've seen no problem with it, especially if clips are first selected and (right-click) grouped. If there's a mistake, immediately press <ctrl-Z>, to backtrack. In the next version expect an OPTIONS checkbox to turn off beat lines, as noted above.
  16. Share the project so others can check it out.
  17. Unable to replicate your result in 7.39. Assuming audio and video were linked in your clips... Dropped four AVI clips to the timeline. No grouping. Added a title at the head. Changed title duration to 6:00 and programmed a dissolve between it and the clips. Sync was retained. This likely does not have anything to do with your problematic VOB, but its sync issue should be resolved in the next version. You might test with a file that was not originally a VOB.
  18. Have you tried creating the text with a text editor or wordprocessor, copying it, and then pasting it into the Videopad text box?
  19. Do the clips that you recorded shake - prior to importing to Videopad? Export shouldn't cause it. Share your project, so others can take a look. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it.
  20. What about other projects - do they behave similarly? What happens if you attempt to export a later portion of the project - cutting out a few minutes in the middle, placing them on a new track and exporting? Can recollect no instance where a user was unable to save a portable project. Considering all the diagnostic steps that you have taken, one might conclude that either the project is corrupt or something has gone awry with your PC. Try the following... Save your project using FILE|SAVE PROJECT AS to the same folder that contains the source files. With Windows Explorer (the PC file manager), open that folder and zip ALL the files that it contains. Upload that zip file to a server and share a public link to it here. In Windows 10 it's easy to create a zip file. Open the folder containing the files and click anywhere on the right side, where the files are shown. Press <ctrl-A> to select (highlight) all files. Right-click on any file and SEND TO|COMPRESSED (zipped) FOLDER. The result will be a file with a .zip extension that has the same name as the file you right-clicked. Upload that file.
  21. It's a mystery. Some things were never meant to be known. But your original does fine here.
  22. So this is the same PC where it succeeded earlier? If so, it points to a limitation of that PC, or with the 'new' one that you referred to. Video editing is resource intensive and a Pentium chip with but 4GB of RAM may put you at a disadvantage, especially on a lengthy project and even more so if it contains large high-def files. Did you try breaking the project into parts and exporting each? Placing a segment on its own track allows export of only that track, without disturbing the others. You might also try to temporarily remove an effect that occurs at about the time the project hangs, then attempt an export.
  23. Looks fine here in v7.39, just as it did for Nat. What version of VP is being used? Try the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Here's a re-export of the file. Right-click and SAVE. Then see how it plays in VP. Re-export.mp4
  24. If you haven't done so already, file a bug report with specifics. Click the chevron at the top-right of the VP window for that option.
  25. Try beta v7.50, keeping in mind that this is a test version subject to change. The fix is in.
