  1. All that's needed is another sample file - one that does NOT have the problem. Please upload and share it just as you did the other two.
  2. Full backward compatibility isn't always possible and it's wise to edit/export the project with the version - or a close version - to the one that created the project. Old versions are here. The best way to get help with your work is to share it. This isn't difficult, and someone will be glad to check it out. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it. If the project simply won't load, owing to this issue, zip all the source files including the VPJ control file, and upload that folder to the server.
  3. First click the chevron to the right of SAVE on the toolbar and SAVE PROJECT AS, giving it a unique # or name, so as to not overwrite earlier saves. If video is overshooting audio on the timeline, drag the right video handle to the left until it matches audio. drag_video.mp4
  4. Makes little sense. If you want to go this route consider uninstalling VLC via Control Panel | PROGRAMS AND FEATURES. Here's what you should see when launching MPC...
  5. Install ... then launch MPC directly, not by double-clicking on the AVI. Click its FILE menu, on the toolbar. Click OPEN FILE. Browse to your AVI, select it and click on OK. Click FILE again and then click PROPERTIES. VLC likely has the capability as well, but the option to display it may be hidden. Not familiar with VLC.
  6. Try this fine free player https://sourceforge.net/projects/mpcbe/ Then load your file. Click FILE menu on the toolbar, then PROPERTIES.
  7. Don't have that answer, Mike. Media info for the first file shows this... If you have MPC-HC or BE or VLC as a player, open your file to confirm. Click FILE|PROPERTIES. The result should look like the above. Then compare that with a file that doesn't have the problem. Are they the same? If you don't have one of the players, download the free Media Info tool. https://sourceforge.net/projects/mediainfo/
  8. If his Videopad version is not licensed it may have limitations after a trial period. Perhaps this is what has occurred. An alternate approach to uploading from VP directly is to export in a YouTube approved format - AVI, for example - and then use their uploader. The best solution is to purchase a license. The price is often discounted.

  10. For those with a similar issue, the problem here was MUXING of selected files. Free demuxing utilities are available on the WEB. Replacing audio with an Mp3 that resulted from demuxing restored A/V sync. For VP export, the Mp4 default settings tested well.
  11. https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/versions.html It is 32-bit.
  12. If you are having problems registering, please see this form.
  13. Click the envelope at the top-right of this forum. Click the COMPOSE NEW button. In to TO field type in "borate" (no quotes). Press <enter> on the keyboard The name entered in the TO field should then appear with an X beside it. Paste the public links to the files into the body of the message.
  14. Let's take a look. It's not difficult. Just follow the steps outlined here... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If the project contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it.
  15. This form, and the chat feature, should be able to resolve the registration issue. If you're presented with a stream choice, try each of them. For upload, just follow the steps in the "tips for getting help" link above... 1. Have your completed project on the timeline, as if you were about to export it. No need to actually export. 2. Click the 'hamburger' (three-lined) menu at the top-left of the window. Click FILE, then SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS. The result will be a folder with numbers. 3. Sign on for free to a public server, such as Microsoft's OneDrive or Google Drive and upload that folder. 4. Make the resulting link public (share it). To see that choice may require a right-click on the folder. 5. Provide that link to me in a PM. If the issue can be demonstrated with just a file or two, simply upload them in the same manner, providing a public link to each. No need to save the project.
  16. Registration should not expire. Reload 7.02 or any version released within six months of its purchase and re-register with your original code it if necessary. If no go, check the registration section here. VP won't prompt for typical 2-channel stereo. An audio request suggests that multiple streams have been encoded, despite the fact a mono mic was used. If you upload your project to my PM (personal messenger) no one else will have access, but for the developers if testing is needed. Upload, make the link public (share it) and please send it to me. Click the envelope at the top-right of this forum and input "borate" as the recipient. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  17. That should have stated "GPU usage is being worked on." Install the latest video driver... AMD / ATI users: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx Intel users: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx nVidia users: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us Update DirectX: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/179113
  18. In most versions, this is what you should see... GPU usage is being reworked and should be even more useful in the future.
  19. Even before registering, the program should start. Download the latest, install, and see if that resolves the issue. If overlays remain a problem, please share the project. It takes only minutes...
  20. Good to hear that it's being worked on. Yet it would be helpful to see a project linked here that demonstrates the issue. https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/versions.html
  21. The variation is likely due to the nature of the individual clip. In recent VP versions, select a clip and then open the effects window. Scroll to ASPECT RATIO TRANSFORMS and click LETTERBOX. In the drop-down menu, choose 4:3. Or, during export, choose the CROP AND ZOOM button, and specify 640 x 480 (NTSC) or other 4:3 A/R such as 1280 x 960.
  22. Higher numbered tracks take precedence over lower numbered tracks. If this is a Videopad-created text clip, placed directly above the color image, it should superimpose. If it's text with a background that was created somewhere else, it may totally cover the color background. Files like those should be transparent PNGs, to let the background come through.
  23. Upload and share the file or, preferably, the project and someone will check out the issue.
  24. What version? Upload and share, per the above instructions. We'll check it out.
  25. Which version of Videopad is in use? Switch to Storyboard mode to spot gaps on the main video track. Right-click | CLOSE GAP to delete them. The best way to sleuth the issue is for you to share it here (or privately). This is not difficult.
