  1. Fear that, because the soft voice is embedded in the music, little can be done. Hi-pass and selective equalization may help, but not much. It can be tough to compensate for poor mic technique.
  2. Very old thread, as Nat noted back in 2018. It's best to start anew, with a descriptive subject. Text can be created in a text editor - Notepad, for example - then copied and pasted into a Videopad text box. There, outline, color, etc. can be added. It will take experimentation to get line length and font size suitable for your project. Most any text editor should work.
  3. Equalization may help. And the file can be exported to Wavepad, where more audio options exist. After fixes are made, import back into Videopad. If you share a sample of the file someone may come up with better suggestions. Upload to a free server, make the link public and post it here.
  4. Make your findings known in a bug report... http://tinyurl.com/y6lk6gu2 Detail the formats and settings that export slowly, and list your Mac's specs. A ten-minute project should not take hours to export.
  5. The above linked version could be newer. Betas are updated frequently, as issues are resolved. Test it, and report back. You might also file a bug report. Click the Chevron at the top-right of the VP window to see the link to that form.
  6. You have posted to a very old thread. What version of VP is being used? Here is the latest release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  7. Try the latest beta, but retain your purchased installer.
  8. Using the latest beta, nothing like that is seen here. The overlay track image is the only one displayed - provided that it completely covers the lower track - when play is initiated. No flash. It's possible that the overlay track there is slightly offset. Expand the sequence to look more closely. If that's not the case, share the project so others can analyze it. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it.

  10. Purchasing a contract or license likely won't help. Your best bet is to use the suggestion form linked above. The developers do see those submissions.
  11. Glad you scoped it out. Don't have authority to change your status. It's probably designated automatically by the number of posts.
  12. It seems that you want a picture within a picture. If that's the case, place the png on the overlay (higher) track, at the position that you want it to be seen. Click the chevron to the right of View button and choose Clip and Background so you can see them both. Click the fx icon in the png clip. Click the large green + sign in the toolbar. Use the position, crop. scale,, etc. effects until the png looks right. The lower track background will show through wherever the png doesn't block it.

    Snapshot Error

Look at the resolution properties of the source file. Then use Custom in the preview snapshot box to match that resolution. The pic that results should then mirror the bin clip.

  15. That should work fine. Does here. What version is being used? The latest is here. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Using a beta version, a nine second clip was ramped up to 200% in the bin and dropped to the timeline. Then, prior to a speed change, it was dropped to the timeline first, and sped up there. Both approaches resulted in a four-second clip on the sequence.
  16. CROP is an integrated effect; no app or plug in needed. Open the effects box, click the green + sign at the top-left and then click on Crop.
  17. VP is regularly updated, but no change has been made to visibility of the audio tracks. What version is being used? Post an image of what you see. Instructions here: http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Restore the default display layout by clicking the 3-lined hamburger menu (top-left), then click VIEW|RESTORE DEFAULT LAYOUT. The latest version is here. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  18. Use the controls to determine when the line is precisely on the cut point.
  19. What you likely have there is an earlier beta; they are updated often. Use the release version, or download the beta once again - to be sure it's the latest. If the crash persists, please share the project here so someone can take a look at it. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. 20. That's not what is seen here during playback of a thirty-second video with numerous effects, on a Windows system not dissimilar to yours. GPU is also active during effect rendering. During export at 4K
  21. https://www.nch.com.au/kb/10265.html Look under OPTIONS|EDITING tab and toggle Use Hardware Acceleration. See if that changes things.

Open the effects window and review all the choices there.
  23. Not seeing that here with the 1280x720 file in beta version 7.33. Lossless encoding was almost instantaneous. Re-encoding to 720x480 or to 1280x720 took less than four seconds. This on an eight-core z390z processor with 32MB RAM. Beta versions are for testing, of course, and subject to frequent changes.
  24. That won't happen when working with video within a clip. But switch to another clip and the preview, but not the sequence scrubber (red line) will reset to the start. That's how it works.
  25. For some effects there is a preview check box. For others create a template of your custom effect. Then the effect can be deleted, but easily restored. http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win/effects_templates.html And though it doesn't isolate an effect, hide track is useful in some instances. Click the 'eye' to the left of the track.
