Click the Default Quality/Filesize link and select the PCM uncompressed item. That choice does not exist for the mp4 format but normally the default AAC compressor does well.

There is no Windows 8.64 at this juncture, despite what the beta download site lists. That's a placeholder which will give you 8.63. Check the left-bottom of the screen for a version #. What problem are you having? The most stable recent version is here.

It appears you have discovered that a curve can be saved as a template and restored via an icon in the Effects menu. There's no mathematical equivalent available AFAIK. The histogram-type lines, of questionable utility, do come and go. That's likely a bug. VP basic color correction tools are adequate for the typical user whose work is not slated for theatrical or broadcast release. This should provide insight on a sophisticated level. The learning curve and pricing for these capabilities can be steep.
