  1. What version of Videopad is being used? Try a recent version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Save your project, using SAVE PROJECT AS (routinely), giving it a unique # and name to avoid overwriting earlier saves. Save Project (no AS) will overwrite. Then isolate (split-out) a portion of the project that displays this jumpiness and delete the rest. Share that here or in private so someone can check it out. Don't export. Just follow these steps... 1. With your project on the timeline, click the 3-lined 'hamburger' menu, top-left. Click FILE | BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Specify a folder. Click SELECT FOLDER. 2. Using the PC file manager, go to where the numbered folder was saved and upload it to a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* 3. Get a shared, public, non-restricted link. 4. Paste that link here, or click the folder, above top-right in this forum, and message it to me. This is private and won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  2. The project name will be whatever it was saved as. The sequence name will be whatever name was given to the sequence tab (or sequence clip in the Bin) when the project was constructed. The export name will mirror the sequence tab name. In the export window the TAB key will take you to the Export File Name field, where a new title can be entered. Can't think of a way to rename the Sequence tab without a mouse. Though VP late versions load the 720 AVI as 640 it can be custom exported at 720.
  3. In recent versions, "untitled" is no longer evident. The export title will mirror the SEQUENCE title, as shown on the tab. Rename it there and the export name will follow. As for stabilization problems, try setting the Source Pixel Aspect to Standard NTSC if that's not already specified. Your 720x480 does indeed load as 640x480 unless first converted to WMV by another app. The only shortcut keys in VP trigger effects, AFAIK, so cannot provide info on your last query.
  4. Close the program. Reopen, but before loading anything click OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Then load the files/project. Nothing more comes to mind, and cannot test VP on a Mac here. But it works fine in two late VP releases for Windows. You can file a bug report by clicking the chevron at the top-right of the VP window. Earlier releases are available here, but you may not be able to register them with your current license, if any. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  5. Does an export to a file play on your Mac? Tough to speculate without seeing the project. Share it and someone will take a look. Just follow these four easy steps...
  6. Using the latest release, was unable to replicate your results. All three files exported with both circular and radial blur intact. Even tested a dissolve between two 4K clips, each with a different effect applied, and that looked good as well.
  7. Upload an exported file that doesn't play well to a free server, get a public, non-restricted, shared link and post it here. Someone will check it out. There should be several compressor and quality options available in the export window. Test them.
  8. There are a number of free servers. If you have a Google account, try http://drive.Google.com. For Microsoft, sign in to http://OneDrive.live.com. If you upload a 4K that isn't accepting these effects, someone will check it out.
  9. When VP is installed, there can be several feature variants - even in the same release. The pop up appears as a vertical bar in some, a horizontal bar in others - where it is less intrusive. To switch to that behavior there's no need to download VP again, just reinstall it repeatedly until the bar is horizontal. If you make a mistake while editing press <ctrl-Z> to backtrack, step-by-step. Also back up regularly with Save Project AS, giving it a unique # and name so as to not overwrite earlier saves. Using Save Project (no AS) will overwrite. The AS choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the SAVE PROJECT button on the toolbar and via the File menu.
  10. AVI should be an available export format in the Mac version.
  11. Test AVI format with the MPEG4 compressor. Try different compression settings.
  12. Seems that you've replied to the wrong thread. Can't recall a speed change icon, but in recent releases that feature is available via a right-click on the clip - in the bin or on the timeline - and in the effects window as well. As to your blur issue, upload 4K samples that don't work as suggested in your initial thread.
  13. Upload a few 4K images that don't work to a free server and link them publicly here. Someone will be glad to check them out and report any issues.
  14. The old export default was "untitled" - no matter what the sequence name was. An annoyance that required renaming the export. Now that name will be the same as the Sequence tab name, which can be changed via a right-click. Exports that duplicate the sequence name will have an incremented # after the name. Please upload a mini-DV file that imports at 640x480 on all but version 7.51. LInk it here or in private.
  15. Let's hear it. Upload the file and share it here. Having the file and trying to reproduce what you hear is the the only way we can track this down. What version of Videopad is being used? Does this occur in preview or only upon export? Does the mp3 file play correctly in Windows Media Player or the like? Does the fault occur when the file is played in VP or is it happening with the exported file? Are you altering the speed of the audio file?
  16. Upload the 'squirrel' file to a free server, such as Google Drive, MS OneDrive, get a shared, non-restricted, public link and post it here. Someone will try to chase the critters away. What version of Videopad is being used? Does this occur in preview or only upon export? Does the mp3 file play correctly in Windows Media Player or the like?
  17. What version of Videopad is being used? Try this one. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Report back if this doesn't solve the problem. Wait for audio to cache. The thumbnail under the Bin (top-left) audio tab should show a waveform, not a white 'note' symbol.
  18. Repeatedly shifting the tracks slightly, then listening to the mix can be tedious. The waveforms should help spot like peaks in the various tracks. If recordings were made on separate machines that were not sync-locked, they may not line up precisely. That's not the fault of Videopad.
  19. This is a known issue, but there may be a workaround. Share the project (not the export) here or in private and we'll analyse it. This is an easy four-step process... RESOLVED via personal messaging.
  20. Let's take a look, so we can resolve the problem. Four easy steps... You can also try this version, though it won't be licensed. AVI export usually works if others are not available. Retain you old installer and registration info. Issue addressed via personal messaging.
  21. What version of Videopad is being used? Two things to try. When changing the speed, UNcheck the "keep pitch unchanged" box. When exporting, test both the AVI and mp4 formats. Report back.
  22. Assume you're talking about shortcut keys... Though the version/release number is the same, Videopad installs offer slightly different features. Confusing, but easy to overcome. To restore the 'shortcuts' tab reinstall VP. This may take several attempts, and there's no need to download the program again.
  23. As suggested above, let's see the project so the problem can be tracked down. This isn't difficult, takes but a few minutes and can be private. Just follow the PORTABLE project instructions here. Don't upload the exported file. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable, public link - not one that is restricted. Also, try this version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  24. You are tacking onto a 2018 thread; best to start anew with a descriptive subject and details in the body. When a clip is first in the sequence or follows a gap the f in the clip can be used to fade up. To fade out the end of the project click the X in the clip and use the crossfade transition. Fade IN/OUT/CROSSFADE that are available via the effects configuration screen are the same. They're transitions.. Generally it's best to apply fades last, as moving or sizing clips can destroy them. But working on unrelated clips should not. Consider updating to this version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  25. How long is the project? What is the resolution of the bulk of the source files? Share the project and we'll see how export results here compare with yours.
