  1. Good to know. Try the latest beta version which overcomes some 8.56 audio issues.
  2. To create text, click ADD TEXT on the toolbar. The composition window opens. To edit an existing text clip, click it. Then click the text box rectangle beneath the preview window. The composition window opens.
  3. Don't spot a complexity here. Simply ZOOM to the area desired, optionally choose an aspect ratio ... and export. There's even a 'preview' option in the zoom configuration box.
  4. Remember too that the text must be the top (highest-numbered) track. Higher tracks override lower.
  5. Not seeing extra ST lines, using <enter> in the Windows version. File a report by clicking on the chevron at the top-right of the VP window.
  6. In this example no effects were used on the top track. Before the subject gets to the chair mask, that track overrides. So, a little cheating in that the chair bounces only once and the cutout isn't perfectly clean. Nat's method is likely better, but there are only so many hours in the day *_^ Next time, try to more fully isolate the item to be masked; separating man from chair was tough. Jump.mov
  7. Sounds as if variable will do the job. To let someone analyse what you see please share the project. Just follow the PORTABLE project instructions here. Don't upload the export. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable, public link - not one that is restricted.

    WAV vs MP3

You can also jump around the timeline by entering a new time in the Cursor Position window. Unless zoom is extreme, don't see blockiness here. Chevrons at the far left of audio track downward will provide a little vertical added space, but that's limited by the # of tracks. Record_2020_07_13_09_03_48_501.mp4 There's also the small white line that divides the video from audio tracks. Drag it upwards. Here's the latest version, which overcomes an audio glitch in v8.56. About the closest thing to release notes is here.

    WAV vs MP3

The WAV/freeze behavior you describe can't be duped here. Four video tracks and a WAV were programmed, and all was well? First report of that behavior. Let's see that project, with the WAV. Please follow the PORTABLE project instructions here. Upload the Portable Project folder (not the exported file) and share it publicly or privately. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable, public link - not one that is restricted. While previewing the Sequence (not the clip) clicking on the timeline will jump to that point. Click the double-headed arrow (bottom-right) and the entire project will be shown. Install the latest.. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  10. Videopad handles mono/stereo correctly IMO. Other editors may operate similarly. Conversion will likely require a separate app. The Edit With Wavepad button isn't always available; if not, just perform the operation manually with WP or any audio utility. Install a new copy of WavePad, open your file, change the mode (as above) and SAVE. Substitute that file for the original in your Videopad project. Come back if the issue persists. If you upload your mono file and link it here someone will be glad to convert it for you.
  11. Let's check it out, and get to the bottom of the issue. Upload the PORTABLE project folder per the instructions below. (Not the export and not only the VPJ file). This folder will contain the source files and the VPJ control file, so others can run the project just as you do. The process isn't difficult, takes little time and can be private... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable, public link - not one that is restricted.
  12. Install this version and see if the problem persists. If it does, report it here.
  13. Don't know the length and resolution of your videos, but speed has improved in recent VP versions when compared with older releases. Crashing has not been reported by others, AFAIK, so this may be a PC issue. Do update the video driver and confirm the latest Direct-X as instructed above. Saving a project creates a VPJ file that is not playable; it maps the source files and what to do with them. Exporting is used for the final product, as you know. If you provide a PORTABLE project file of a video that crashes your PC, someone will analyse it. This can be done privately via the folder at the top-right of this forum. It will not be shared. Though you have uninstalled, check these folders and remove all files that they contain... "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" or "C:\Program Files\NCH Software\Components "C:\Users\<PC name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" Test the latest release. Older versions can be found here... http://oldversiondownload.com/
  14. This may not meet your standards but worth a test... Applyy CROP effect to the 2560 x 720 clip/s. Make your edits. Output the result at 1280 x 720. Looked reasonable here.
  15. VPJ files are strictly for programming instruction; they're not playable. Please SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS and upload the resulting folder. Or, if you want to simply demonstrate the result, upload the exported file. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable, public link - not one that is restricted.
  16. Share your project. It's the best way for someone here to see what you see, and suggest a fix. This isn't difficult, takes little time and can be private.
  17. A mask can be dragged. But even if all points are selected there appears to be no way to resize it uniformly?
  18. The latest (beta) is 8.60. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  19. Something to test... 1) Export the project into 3D video file. 2) Create a new project and add the 3D video file in as a clip. 3) Burn the new project to Blu-ray/DVD.
  20. What version of Videopad is being used? Try the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Try using dual previews (OPTIONS | GENERAL tab) or with single preview try the MATCH MONITOR mode to see sequence window placement as it will look on your monitor. Export at the monitor's resolution. If no luck, please share your project and someone here will come up with a fix.
  21. Simply follow the PORTABLE project procedure outlined at this link. Save a PORTABLE project, upload that folder, share it. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to get a shareable, public link - not one that is restricted. The PORTABLE project folder that you will upload contains all source files + the VPJ control file. Then others can run it in Videopad just as you do there. It is the best way to diagnose.
  22. Again, very unusual. Be sure that your video driver and Direct-X are up to date, as above. You might also test the latest beta. Share that project and someone here will test it on their system.
  23. Please clarify what the intended result is to be - legs vanishing as you jump out of frame? Test plots, frame-by-frame, were inconsistent, with keyframe positions seemingly shifting at will. See later posts for a probable explanation.
  24. What version of Videopad is being used? Let's take a look at your video. Upload the file to a free server, such as MS OneDrive or Google Drive, get a public (non-restricted) shareable link and post it here.
  25. If you have further issues with registering see https://www.nch.com.au/support/regcontact.html
