  1. Replicated in latest versions, but works as it should in 8.45. Reported.
  2. Don't believe so. But the bin window can be lengthened. But, of course, this reduces the track area real estate.
  3. Right-click on the zoomed clip and COPY. Place the cursor where you want it, then in the timeline right-click | PASTE (insert) Reverse the copied clip.
  4. Reboot the PC. Use this free tool for another VP install. Include all registry entries that it finds. When you say that you "cannot edit the file that you already made", do you mean that your completed project won't load into Videopad? If it loads, then create the back-up folder. (f not, please zip ALL files in the source folder that you used for the project and upload the zipped folder.
  5. Six missing files. Please upload them... Bloody Mary Asylum Shadows - Danny's Inn Hell house - Wyeth's Western Inn Dead Man's Blood Salvation And there appears to be no sequence on the timeline. Before creating the back-up folder please make certain the complete project that you already made is fully loaded and plays in Videopad, despite the fact that new files cannot be added nor can it be edited.
  6. It's a bug, replicated and reported. Works okay in version 8.45.
  7. Size estimates are notoriously inaccurate. Several things to try... The MPEG4 compressor, in lieu of the default H264, either as an mp4 or AVI. Reduce export resolution size. Reduce bitrate. Click the blue Default Quality / Filesize link to see the options...
  8. Your key is good on newer releases for up to six months from purchase date. Retain your current release installer. Or it should have been saved in "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad" (or a similar path without the x86).
  9. Here's how. Copy <ctrl-C> or drag the clip (from the bin) to a new, blank sequence by clicking the + sign on the Sequence 1 tab. Speed it up. Export Sequence 2. Import the exported clip, replace it to the Sequence 1 timeline and then apply the audio keyframes. https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/32788-audio-node-weird-after-changing-audio-clip-speed/?tab=comments#comment-88511
  10. T'aint right. Sometimes, clicking the cursor to the currently displayed range will paint the thumbs. At others SHOW ORIGINAL does. Except when it doesn't.🤣
  11. Hi, New thread for this - "Storyboard thumbnails don't appear." Have never seen reports of missing Timeline mode images, but Storybook mode should display them as well. It does, but intermittently. Report filed.
  12. Preview has two functions. Clip preview displays clips in the bin (top-left). Sequence preview shows what's on the timeline. Both can be displayed at once, using dual preview. Click OPTIONS | GENERAL and tic that box. In sequence preview there are aspect ratio choices that will MATCH CONTENT, MATCH MONITOR, and others. https://content.invisioncic.com/r33241/monthly_2020_10/image.png.b8bbb8d92b8a8fb9da8738148bfa1bbd.png The timeline has two modes. Storybook shows only the VIDEO clips on track one. It's useful for spotting gaps. Timeline mode displays all tracks, audio and video. The VP version # is shown at the left-bottom of the screen, and when Videopad launches. Older versions are here. But full backward compatibility isn't guaranteed. Don't know why the thumbs aren't appearing in Storybook mode, but if you share your project someone here will be glad to take a look. This is easy, takes little time and can be private. Simply follow these four steps... 1. With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 2. Locate the saved, numbered folder and upload it to a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* (Don't upload the export file or only the VPJ.) 3. Get a shared, public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. Click the blue "Change to anyone with the link..." Then click COPY LINK | DONE. 4. Paste that link here, or click the folder, above top-right in this forum, and message it to me. This is private and won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server. The missing thumbnail behavior has been replicated here...and reported. Thanks.
  13. The older issues you cited were likely not the same as yours. Can you burn an ISO movie? Here's the latest VP version. To track this down, please share the project so others can see it just as you do and attempt to burn. The process is easy, takes little time and can be private. Follow these steps... 1. With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 2. Locate the saved, numbered folder - not the export file or only the VPJ. Upload it to a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* 3.
  14. The copied clip will be the same length as the original, of course. But its length can be changed in the bin, and applied to the timeline. Though Fade In and Fade Out are shown as EFFECTS choices, they are in reality transitions. To save an IN/OUT effect use Transparency, like this... Then click the folder icon on the toolbar and give the effect a name. It will appear as just another icon at the bottom of the EFFECTS window. Apply it to any clip.
  15. Clearing on exit used to be an option, but no longer. Manually, it can be done via OPTIONS menu | DISK tab. It's wise to clear it prior to starting a new project. Use the latest version, if possible. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  16. If you saved your video, which you should routinely as SAVE PROJECT FILE AS, giving it a unique # or name, there should be a VPJ control file (not playable) that's normally in the same folder as the project source files. Double-click it to load the project. Once it's on the timeline in full, please follow the four steps below to share it, so someone can take a look. This is easy, takes little time and can be private... Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  17. That behavior is strange and has never before been reported. Please share the project, so others can check it out. The process isn't difficult, takes mere minutes and can be private. Just follow these four steps... Get a shared, public link. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  18. Using v8.84, that 'offsetting' isn't happening here. As the above video illustrates, it's dead-on where clicked. Try a reinstall. Or test this version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. When you trim (START / END buttons) a clip in clip preview mode, then use the ADD button to place it on the timeline, only the section that is left untrimmed will be shown there.
  19. That's best. We'll crank out something usable or advise on what the issue is. Be sure that you have the full, complete project on the timeline prior to creating the back-up folder. Then upload that folder, not simply the VPJ file, to the server and proceed from there. Resolved via a private message.
  20. It won't be seen by anyone but me, and won't be shared. Upload the video, make the link shareable (public, which doesn't mean that others can see it) and send the link to me in a Personal Message. Click the mail folder at the top of this forum and locate my account - "borate."
  21. Be sure to Save the project. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. Then you can restore a project to the state it was in when saved. Just double-click the VPJ file (which isn't playable). Install the latest version. Whether you have paid or not has no bearing on the issue. If that doesn't help, quickly upload and share your project and someone will take a look and perhaps make a fix. Just follow these simple steps.
  22. Never heard of caps being used for a function. As noted, no snapping action occurs here for masking. The only grid is in the effects animation editor. Post a screenshot link. Timeline snapping, when removing a clip, occurs in some releases. It can be disabled by holding down the <alt> key. Does "imported FX sequences not playing properly" refer to your 'flying man' landing displaying black on export? Yes, that has been fixed.
  23. The apparent discrepancy is likely due to the difference in expansion of the preview and timeline waveform displays. Note the time between the PV keyframes. It is the same as that on the timeline. You should definitely be able to drag the keyframes. Why the Audio 1 track slope is in the middle of the waveform in your image is unclear. It doesn't do that here, in version 8.84. Record_2020_10_02_23_33_51_597.mp4
  24. It should. If issues arise you can always revert. The installer should be in "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad" or that path without the (x86). Still, checked out v7.34 here and it did not double-space lines, so something local may be afoot??
  25. And, for the benefit of others, what steps did you take to resolve the issue?
