  1. Click the chevron at the top-right of the VP window and file a specific suggestion. They're read.
  2. That can be done, but it may not be quite as accurate at the split points. 1. Place the scrubber at song start 2. Click on the scrubber red line and drag it to the song end, to highlight the tune 3. Right-click in the highlighted area and Export Selected Region Yet another approach... 1. Drag a song to the start of another clear track 2. Solo its audio and video tracks 3. Export Experiment
  3. Complete all editing and Save Project File AS, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. Then you can restore a project to the state it was in when saved. Just double-click the VPJ file (which isn't playable). 1. Place a split at the start and end of a song 2. Right-click within the split-out area and COPY 3. Click the + sign on the Sequence 1 tab above the timeline to open a new, blank sequence 2 4. Position the scrubber (red line) at the head of the track 5 Right-click in its Video Track 1 area and PASTE (insert) Export Sequence 2, giving it a name Delete Sequence 2 and follow the same steps for each tune
  4. Licensing (purchase) enables all features, as contrasted with unlicensed releases where some effects and export formats are not available. Upgrades are free for up to six-months from purchase date, but upgrading isn't mandated and the version you purchase will never expire. There's a subscription option as well. Check them out... https://secure.nch.com.au/cgi-bin/register.exe?software=videopad Any version can be test driven, unlicensed, to see how it performs for you. Retain your original install file and registration code.
  5. Test with ISO images, so DVDs don't become coasters. Check out this thread... https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23115-calculate-video-bitrate-automatically/ To pin this down please share an exported video file. The MPEG4 compressor may reduce file size, as will lowering resolution. Upload the file to a free server, get a public (shareable) link and post it here or to me in a Private Message. If using Google Drive, change 'restricted' to 'anyone can view.' Someone here will be glad to check it out.
  6. The 24 tracks have maxed out VP memory. When the 64-bit version arrives (no target date) that should no longer be an issue. 720 export should be okay. In the future you might also consider a little pre-production, to lessen the load and increase export speed. For example: your track 2 background looping clips could be copied to a new sequence, then that sequence exported. The resulting single file, with all transitions composited, would replace dozens of clips and transitions.
  7. What version of VP is being used? Try the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. What is the resolution of the bulk of the source files? What is the length of the project? If you share it, someone will be glad to take a look. The process is easy, quick and can be private. Just follow these steps... 1. With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 2. Locate the saved, numbered folder. No need to upload the export or VPJ files. Upload it to a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* 3. Get a shared, public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. Click the blue "Change to anyone with the link..." Then click COPY LINK | DONE. 4. Paste that link here, or click the folder, above top-right in this forum, and message it to me. This is private and won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.

  9. When dragging a clip's left white handle to the right snaps back, instead of leaving a gap, hold down <alt> while dragging. The clip can them be positioned within the newly increased space. To avoid the following clip being affected, again hold down <alt>. Even when installing the same version, there may be slight differences in how the VP interface performs. In some VP builds <alt> isn't necessary. Record_2020_10_13_02_07_01_156.mp4
  10. No other Mac user has reported this, though they may be running lower-end machines. Scaling down the monitor res, if possible, is worth a test. On the PC here, playback was seamless - no jerkiness whatsoever. It appears that not all singer tiles are in sync. If the mp3 recording was not sync-locked to video, its speed may not match up - even if recorded at the same time.
  11. There's rumor of GPU usage improvements in the weeks ahead. Whether that applies to Mac?? Logic hints that the issue is related to how VP interacts with the high-res monitor. Is there a setting that allows the monitor to operate at lower resolutions? This page has version info. You can test a beta release if you're adventuresome. While you say the current project runs fine on the old PC, it still might be instructional for others to check it out. Upload and share it if possible, per these instructions... 12. That should be version 8.91 which is inserting normally here. If placing the cursor at a split, be sure it's truly at the right place. Use these buttons... If still no joy try two things: Clear Unused Cache Files, under OPTIONS | DISK tab. Reinstall Videopad.
  13. Test the latest (if available in your language). You might also try this slightly older version. Share a video, as described above. Someone will be glad to help.
  14. Try turning acceleration OFF as well, if only just for kicks. A new machine doesn't necessarily come with the latest drivers, but that likely isn't your issue. The download page shows version 8.90 to be the latest for Mac.
  15. Breaking long projects into parts can be wise and may minimize export issues. Exported segments can be merged into a final product or used separately. See Proxy Editing.
  16. No Mac capability here, sorry. That frame rate is unacceptable, and AFAIK has not been reported by other users. Are you able to test on another Mac? Assuming that you are running the latest VP version, have you toggled "use hardware acceleration" under OPTIONS | EDITING tab, to see if that makes a difference? Are the latest video drivers installed?
  17. Perhaps this is the hang up... Problems when Attempting to Purchase Credit card is not accepted or always declined Call your bank and ask them why it was declined (they should have a record of the attempt). Sometimes it is because your bank blocks overseas transactions (we are based in Australia). Just tell them you want to pay an Australian company and they will turn on your card for overseas transactions. If you attempted to process the transaction more than once, your IP address might have been blocked (as a fraud control measure). Wait 24 hours after your last blocked attempt and try again (or try again using a different internet connection). Note: Please contact your bank before contacting us.
  18. Using Nat's progression, the saved effect shown above was applied to several other images. Each landed in the same position.
  19. There are changes and quirks in every version. Updates are free within six-months of purchase, licensed or not. Before updating, Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. Then you can restore a project to the state it was in when saved. Just double-click the VPJ file (which isn't playable). Upcoming versions in the weeks ahead should make better use of the GPU, for faster performance. Give them a test drive. There's no mandate to update.
  20. First thing: Under OPTIONS | DISK tab, Clear Unused Cache Files prior to loading projects for the first time. If currently working on a project the cache can be cleared at that time as well. Of course. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. Then you can restore a project to the state it was in when saved. Just double-click the VPJ file (which isn't playable). What version of VP is being used? Try this one. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. What are your export settings? The suggested defaults usually work well. What is the resolution of the bulk of the source files? Share your project and someone will help. This is easy, quick and can be private. Issues are often quickly resolved.
  21. Glad it worked out. Windows is a mystical thing...😬 There's never a mandate to install new VP versions. If what you have is workiing for you, stick with it. But latest releases can always be test driven for free. Be certain to back up your projects, and retain the old installer and license code. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. Then you can restore a project to the state it was in when saved. Just double-click the VPJ file (which isn't playable).
  22. Professional = Masters When it's run it will list "Professional" at the top-left of its UI.
  23. Interesting. No such warning or d/l from either link detected here.
  24. That's a shame. The project looked interesting. Yours is the first report of that issue, which hints that's it's confined to your PC. If possible, test the program on another machine. Just retested your 13 files. Caching all took about ten minutes. Though lengthy, they are low resolution and should be no problem. Additional files could be added. Video editing is resource intensive. An I5 processor (or AMD equivalent), 8GB RAM, a mid-grade video card and ample free disk space on C:\ are advised - especially for high-def or big files. If C:\ space is limited, direct the cache files to another drive with more capacity, if available. OPTIONS | DISK tab. You initially mentioned that you could not load "the video project file I already made." If you saved that project, as is prompted when exiting VP, please upload the folder that contains all its source files and the VPJ control file. Add the six missing files + the VPJ to those already uploaded. Similar to what you did before, zip those files and upload them to a free server like Google Drive. Make them public (shareable) and copy the link. Post it here. For Google, be sure to change 'restricted' to 'anyone can view.' Someone will be glad to help you. If all is in vain, you may be able to get a refund... https://www.nch.com.au/general/refund.html
