  1. No indication of missing audio tracks here. Try reinstalling Videopad. But two MOV files are missing. Consider moving the photo credits to the left (or above) so that they are within their image borders. Unlinking makes the A/V tracks independent of each other, but doesn't mute audio. To mute the track, click the 'speaker' icon at the left of a track. To mute a clip, right-click on it and tic the MUTE box. No need to unlink. Please upload these files...
  2. You can link a screenshot. Upload it to a free server, get a shareable (public) link, copy the link and post it here. Google Drive, MS OneDrive, Dropbox, many others. Is there a scrollbar at the right of the audio tracks? Click on Menu (top-left of the VP window) | VIEW | RESTORE DEFAULT LAYOUT. Best would be to share the project, so others can take a look. This is not difficult, takes little time and can be private. Just follow these steps closely... 1. With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 2. Locate the saved, numbered folder, NOT the exported or VPJ file. Upload it to a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* 3. Get a shared, public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. Change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Then click COPY LINK | DONE. 4. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum and privately message it to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  3. It's unclear what you want the result to be... A 4K portrait video was cropped to vertically isolate a tree and table at the left, using the 9x16 preset. Then it was exported at 320x240. The result was the cropped area as shown in this still. What did you expect?
  4. What are your export settings? How long is the project? How many GB? What is the resolution of the bulk of the source files? Tough to analyse without seeing the project. Perhaps another server, or increasing your storage. Google Drive charges only $19.95/yr. for 100GB. Degoo — 100GB of free cloud storage. ... Mega — 50GB of free cloud storage. ... Box — 10GB of free cloud storage. ... pCloud — 10GB of free cloud storage. Someone will be glad to help if you can share, and issues are usually quickly resolved. 1. 5. Though the issue may seem to be the same, there are a number of reasons for audio loss described in this thread. Install this version, for now. Ignore any virus prompts. If it succeeds, suggest waiting a week or so before installing the latest release. What version of VP is being used? Try the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. How large are these files and at what resolution? If a newer release doesn't solve the issue, please share a single file here (or in private) and someone will take a look. Just upload it to a free server, share it (make it public), get a shareable link, copy that link and post it here or to me in a Personal Message (click the folder at the top-right of this forum and search for "borate.")
  6. 17GB project. Too much. General suggestions... It appears that four files have been duplicated and loaded. Don't load any files that are not in the project. Eliminate duplicates. For example, untitled 54 is in the bin twice. A single file can be used in different sequences. Consolidate tracks - use as few as possible. Consider pre-converting source files to lower resolution, perhaps trimming off parts that are not included in the project. If there's need to use different segments of a clip, right-click it in the bin and COPY. Then click an open bin area and PASTE (clip). Content for each dupe can be specified with the SET START & END buttons, while not affecting the other copies. Unless there's a reason to do otherwise, suggest working with one sequence at a time, saving each as an individual project. If necessary, divide a sequence into smaller segments, exporting each, then merging those exports into a final export. (Your Sequence 2, mostly silent, appears to serve no purpose??) Sequence 3 has an overrun in black, which extends from the 1:56 end of content to nearly four hours. This can be fixed with a right-click in the area following the sequence. CLOSE GAP. Also consider converting WAV files to mp3 prior to importing. After those changes were made in Windows 10, converting video files to 854x480 - which eliminated 10GB from the project - Sequences 1 and 3 played on the timeline and exported okay - even at HD720 - but for a freeze near the end.
  7. Good thought... https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software
  8. Undetectable differences on a decent PC speaker system. And this is confirmed by identical waveforms, so unable to replicate your issue.
  9. Send that folder to Drive and make it public. It will have a name like 2020-11-01 18-50-04. Don't forget to change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  10. A fine approach. Consider using the MOTION effect, which has both scale and positioning items. Once built, write down the vertical numbers - for subsequent image placement.
  11. Right-click the initial text clip in the bin COPY Right-click an open area of the bin PASTE (Clip) Change the text on the (1) clip and drop it onto the timeline Do this as many times as needed
  12. You might experiment as follows... 1. Add image/sync video to a 5x5 split, fit region 2. Click the + at the right of the Sequence 1 tab to create a new blank sequence 3. Click the Sequences tab in the bin and drag sequence 1 onto the timeline This is now a composite - audio won't be seen, but it's there 4. Use SCALE effect to position and scale the composite similar to what is shown below (juggle the figures for best display/aspect) 5. Overlay the 6th image/video, split it as position U in a 5x5, fit region, sync it This should result in something akin to the final image below From there export Seq 2 and proceed as Nat instructed in his 6x3 tutorial He will likely come up with a better approach It's doubtful that grid options will be expanded, but file a suggestion by clicking the chevron at the top-right of the VP window.
  13. Not that difficult. Read Nat's suggestions in the "Virtual Choir" sticky, above. Setting this up correctly saves time and possible export failure.
  14. Upload and share two or three of those files and someone will take a look.

Person on track 1; bubble on track 2. Lots of bubbles available free from the NCH clips library. Right-click in a blank area of the bin and make that choice. Use the POSITION effect to animate the bubble. http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win/effects_animating.html At the start of the clip create a keyframe. Advance the scrubber (red line) to the person's next position, then drag to bubble in the preview window to match. Another keyframe will automatically be created. Repeat this throughout the action. Any keyframe (square) can be dragged. Remove a keyframe by right-clicking it. The resulting graph will resemble this...
  16. Don't recollect a CROP auto-center. In the preview window, drag it to where you want it. Refine the position using the sliders in the effects window. Also take note of the many presets.

  18. Tacked together four :15 files which exported (854x480) in about :07. Brought that result in - alone - and exported twice - first at video defaults then by pressing LOSSLESS. Both took less than :02. Added a few of the same raw files and exported at video defaults. Fast overall, but it appeared to re-encode. Total about :08. Then exported by pressing LOSSLESS. The prior export segment was lightning quick, the added files were re-encoded. Total about :06. You get the picture.
  19. To illustrate what my take is on #1... A single lossless-eligible :15 file was repeatedly placed on the timeline until the sequence length was :45. Export re-encoded. Then the result of that export was placed - alone - on the timeline and exported again. Lossless. So it seems lossless applies to a single clip. If you exported Stage 1, then imported it alone, exporting again should have been lossless. Finally, the export result was again placed on the timeline, but this time the raw clip was added several times to the end. Now, pressing the LOSSLESS button, export was lossless for the previously exported segment, then slowed for the added files, which were apparently being re-encoded. That may explain #2. Not a programmer, so can't elaborate. Apparently a reference to the difference of data in the clips. For quality, the point may be moot in most cases, but re-encoding will be slower.
  20. Good to know what Mac names it. Change your Google link to "anyone can view" and folks will check out your project.
  21. Here's the skinny on lossless, from a developer... 1 Only one file of the whole project can be lossless. others have to be re-encoded. 2 When exporting lossless, the re-encoding part is slow because of the complexity of mixing different packets. 3 When choosing auto, if lossless region is 85% and more, we will do lossless, so it is better to always choose auto. If no success, suspect hardware. Though your other editor dealt with the files in twelve seconds, it may have re-encoded them?? It took only five seconds for VP to combine them..
  22. http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win/tasks_chromakey.html The subject, on track two (or a higher track) must be high contrast to its background, and not contain the background color.
  23. A test with an unlicensed release that had been in use for several months succeeded here. If the feature has not been blocked on your version you should be good.
  24. Test 1 (left) used default Video settings, and appeared to export losslessly. No "converting file" message. Test 2 used the Lossless button, and appeared to re-encode. There was a "converting file" message briefly at the start of export. No clue as to the disparity. Both were quick: test 1 about 5 seconds, test 2 about 8. Degradation of quality re-encoding likely wouldn't be spotted by most folks, depending upon the nature of content and export settings. This on Windows 10 (Pro) PC. No reference to x264enc was spotted in the task manager, but perhaps it was missed.
  25. Select the entire audio track (or tracks) by clicking the first clip, then holding down <shift> while clicking the last. Click any audio clip FX button. Choose AMPLIFY and increase the level. Click the "replace chain" button (the one with the green checkmark). The gain change will be applied to all selected clips.
