  1. Put your positive suggestion to the company. This forum is populated primarily by users, just like yourself. https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software=VideoPad
  2. Many under the hood changes have been made since 5.11 which dates back to 2017. Consider trying out the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If a logo is a PNG image with transparent background, it can be overlaid above on a lower track which will appear in the transparent areas. Here, the dice (PNG) have been superimposed over a (blank clip) gradient background. If the logo has a high contrast with its background, and no color within it that is the same as the background color it can be chromakeyed (green screen effect). Key out the background color and overlay the logo on a higher track. Upload examples of your elements to a free server, such as MS OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive, get a shareable (public) link, copy that link and post it here. If using Google be sure to specify "anyone with link can view." Someone will suggest specifics. Custom bins don't persist between sessions, unless a project is being reloaded. Create the time-lapse music, intro, etc. and export them. The resulting clips can then be imported into new projects.
  3. A more comprehensive listing might prove enlightening. This is about as good as it gets. The company wants users to experience the program.
  4. New releases can always be test driven for free and used indefinitely. Some features will be disabled. Check out the latest. Just retain your licensing info. Keep in mind that updates are free for six-months from the date of purchase. Special sale prices appear from time to time. Compatibility occasionally can be an issue, though usually not. It is wise to export with the release (or one close in time) to the version used to edit.
  5. Make the clip duration longer than the count duration. Or simply drag the right handle of the stopwatch clip to the right, to lengthen it...
  6. Unless we can see what you see it's tough to diagnose. What version of Videopad is being used? Share your project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  7. In what way doesn't it work? Doing fine here. Betas are test builds, and may have undiscovered bugs. Prior versions. Release version.
  8. Thanks for sharing. There's little reason to export at 4K, despite the 'auto-match' suggestion. Change it to 1920 x 1080 in the export resolution box. That res matches most of the source files. Audio was low, so the AMPLIFY effect was used to raise the level 300%. One 'noise' was removed. There were several video gaps, which were closed. (Right-click | CLOSE GAP). Gaps are easy to spot in Storyboard mode (video track 1 only). No problems exporting with the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  9. The best way to suss this out is to share your project. Someone will come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately via personal messenger. Follow these four steps carefully... Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  10. Was unable to access those files, but the issue isn't SRT, it's apparently unicode. The VPCopy.srt file from your earlier thread works just fine. Submit the suggestion to NCH via https://tinyurl.com/r89tpcw And use an easy and quick on-line tool to convert to SSA files. Here's but one... https://tinyurl.com/yxozcrlu Three steps, takes only seconds.
  11. Click the blue and white folder icon on the effect window toolbar and give your preset a name, which will appear as a new template icon at the bottom of the list.
  12. A drop-down menu lists several bitrates. Not all may succeed, depending upon the compressor...

    Audio only

Should be no problem. One way is to right-click the track in the bin (top-left) and PLACE ON SEQUENCE AT END. An A/V file, followed by audio only track ...
  14. If you split a clip and create a slight gap (after expanding the timeline) in the track to be faded, the f will appear at the split, and can be used for the fade up.
  15. Let's take a look at the SRT file. Upload it to a free server (Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.), get a shareable (public) link, copy that link and post it here. Someone will check it out.
  16. Or, after justifying the text with the buttons, simply drag it to the desired position in the preview window.
  17. ...and, when the effect window or text editor are in use, there's a VIEW button under the preview window.
  18. If the text exists, swipe it (highlight) it first, then use the buttons.
  19. New features and refinements are added to Videopad several times monthly. Versions don't expire and updates after purchase are free for six months. Yet there's no need to update if the program is doing the job. Newer versions can always be test driven to check out new features, and quirks. Unlicensed Videopad releases function indefinitely in most cases, but features are limited. There are no watermarks in the unlicensed versions. Always retain purchase registration info for reinstall when desired. Did the linked release solve your audio issue?
  20. Glad it worked out. Keep in mind... Never move or delete source files until certain editing is forever done. Back up frequently, using Save AS, so older saves are not overwritten. That way you will have a number of versions of the project, each represented by a VPJ file. If using a VP release that is working well for you, there's no need to upgrade. Newer releases can always be tested, unlicensed, to check out their features and quirks. If there's something you like, make the switch but retain any purchase registration info. There's a six-month window for free updates. After that, updates cost money but a licensed version will continue to work indefinitely. Even a 'free' or 'trial' version will still function in most cases, with limitations.
  21. Here, using the latest release, dragging the right handle of a clip to the left, shortening it, ripples those to the right but does not change their length. Dragging the left handle to the right, shortening it, leaves a gap which can be closed with a right-click | CLOSE GAP. This action may require holding down the <alt> key, to keep the clip edge from snapping back. Again, no change in adjacent clip length. When the right handle of a clip is dragged right, lengthening it, the clip to the right is moved without changing its length. When the left handle is dragged left, the clip is lengthened but the prior clip length is unaffected. If an entire clip is dragged (not by the handles) then it's another story; adjacent clips may split. Different VP versions don't necessarily act precisely the same. And there are many scenarios, depending upon project layout, so results can be unpredictable. If you make a mistake immediate press <ctrl-Z> (EDIT | UNDO) to backtrack, step-by-step. You might also try dragging a clip to a new track, then changing its length. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite.
  22. You are attempting to upload directly from Videopad? This may be a YouTube issue. Export your project in one of their approved formats and try their uploader... https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/57407?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en And in VP be sure to Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite.
  23. Humm, 10.4 here followed the above coding - in general - but not always.^_^
  24. Drop the company a line... https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software=VideoPad Some of these features are available in the TEXT editor.
