  1. There once was an option to clear cache on exit. Perhaps it was removed because folks who used it didn't realize that reloading a project would take much longer if cached files were purged? Best suggestion to replicate the slowdown and see how your project is constructed and performs, is to share it. Of course, hardware and O/S differences will skew the results. Someone will analyse it. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  2. Videopad suggestions can be made by clicking the chevron at the top-right of the window. A menu will drop down. While there's no support for an LUT plug in AFAIK, there are numerous video effects available in the program itself.
  3. If you have an issue, please post specifics. Updating to the latest release often solves problems. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  4. Fixed in this version. However, this is a beta, and may have undiscovered issues.
  5. So this is a case not of uploading to a server, but simply importing a file to Videopad. What format are these files and what program was used to save them? Take a minute to share a file or two that does this and someone here will check it out. Just upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. Using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  6. Interesting. In countless installs, have never had VP take over extensions from viewers/players. Nor has a split-scrubber ever been seen here. Before beginning a project, click OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. This can be done at anytime during editing as well, should there be files left over from prior projects. 8.45 is a solid version. But you might consider updating to the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. A newer release can always be test driven, unlicensed, to check out features and quirks. As VP is still a 32-bit program, very large, high-def files or complex projects can bog it down, or make export unpredictable. In those cases it may be wise to apportion the project into segments, export and verify that each is good, then later merge the segments for the final export. You may also get better UI response by using Proxy editing. Then VP doesn't deal with large files until export. Even higher-end NLEs often employ this method.
  7. Your version is very dated. Please follow the advice in my first post, above. Update the program and share the file. Someone will figure it out.
  8. If other files have the same issue they won't be corrected automatically with the current VP version. Check Pro Logic settings to see if it can export files at a bit rate of 384, or perhaps just a different bitrate than now currently specified. That may all that's needed.
  9. Update to the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If that doesn't solve the issue, take a minute to share a file or two that does this and someone here will check it out. Just upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. 10. 1/6/2021 Just got word that the audio distortion issue has been fixed. The file should play okay in the next Videopad release.
  11. There have been no reports of upload problems. To what server are you attempting to upload? Is the VP-exported file type one that the server accepts? If this is a YouTube upload, occasionally the quota is exceeded and YT balks at direct VP uploads. If that's the case, simply export the project, then use the YT uploader. Mp4, with the default H264 compressor should work fine. Or retry a direct upload in the middle of the night. Need more specifics.
  12. Two things you can do to solve the issue... Mention the version of VP being used. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. The latest. Share the file. Someone here will be glad to check it out. Just upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. 13. Your upload worked fine, but that file in Videopad definitely has the problem that you describe. It's been reported, and will be fixed.

    File paths

Perhaps explain more precisely how you would utilize relative paths. Videopad installs on C:\. This isn't configurable. Save paths for files and caching can be specified under OPTIONS | DISK tab. To make a suggestion, click the chevron at the top-right of the VP window.
  15. We'll look forward to seeing a sample file. If using Google Drive, be sure it's not "restricted" or others won't be able to access it. Male it "anyone with link can view." As noted in your other thread, if you save regularly and do not move or delete any source files, VP should have no problem finding them. Once they are resolved, Save AS. That writes a new VPJ file with the updated file location info. That file isn't playable, but can be double-clicked to load the project.
  16. When you state "after adjusting audio" ... can we assume that the adjustment has been made in Pro Logic prior to VP import? Take a minute to share a file or two that does this and someone here will check it out. Just upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. Using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view." Also, update to the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  17. First thing, start the program without loading any files or a project and, under OPTIONS | DISK tab, Clear Unused Cache Files. Then load this version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If the issue persists, please share your project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be private. 18. https://lbry.com/faq/how-to-publish The mp4 container is the default Videopad export format, using the H264 compressor. If that fails, try the MPEG4 compressor.
  19. Tested a half-dozen mp4 videos and all reversed normally, so unable to replicate your result here. Update to the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If the problem persists please share a file or two that does this and someone here will check it out. 20. Don't need an exported video; that wouldn't be of use. But supplying an transferred file that is good elsewhere but not in Videopad just might - perhaps one that was recorded with the old software.
  21. No, that version was released mid-2020. There's no mandate to update if what you have works for you. And the latest is always available for a test drive, to check out new features and quirks. This is the place to get help. Drop by or share as needed. Audio plays normally in the latest release.
  22. Glad to help. Should you run into more of this, use this VP version for now, where the issue isn't seen.
  23. Odd indeed. The issue has been reported and isn't related to using the 'free' version. (Repaired file sent.)
  24. Take a minute to share a file or two that does this and someone here will check it out. Just upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. 25. What version of Videopad is being used? Upgrade to the current release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. So it's out of sync imported to the bin, not just after export? Take a minute to share a file or two that does this and someone here will check it out.
