  1. Mp4 is a popular container for various codecs that Videopad should handle well. Check this out... https://blog.online-convert.com/whats-the-difference-between-mp4-and-mpeg-4/

Something is obviously not kosher. Let's have a look, and someone will get to the bottom of the issue... Please share your project. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT. What VP version was used to create the original build?
  3. Nope, sorry. Unless you revert to an earlier v6.xxx series.
  4. Appears to be working. Pay little mind to the estimated size. Right-to-left, the results of an AVI as exported at 1280 x 720 Mp4. Both source and result used the H264 codec. default (file size - 0 compression), medium (average - 56 compression) low (smaller - 27% compression) file size settings
  5. Mp4 and AVI are containers - for various codecs. Try AVI, which uses a default H264 codec. See how you like the results.
  6. There may be naming ambiguity as the version being used here (not subscription) is still titled "Professional." Try the latest 'free' or 'lite' version, where certain features won't be available after a trial period. You may not need them. http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/vpsetup.exe Analyzing the stuttering will be possible only if it's evident in your upload. Remember to use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply Save Project.
  7. Yes, that's a bit much. Perhaps you can upload a small chunk of the project that displays the issue, by splitting out and deleting the balance. Save the project first, of course. Then FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, upload and share the link here. You might also break the project into several parts, to be later combined. Lower res is worth testing as well. What are your PC's specs? What program/app is being used to view the exported result? But first, test the full project in a more recent version. Retain your original installer, which is usually saved in "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad" For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  8. Which VP version created this project? Here is the revised project (click the DOWNLOAD button, unzip, click the vpj file)... https://1drv.ms/u/s!AmKCN6jvYsvCnlI5z4exfiRyEitW?e=FbGBPF The changes... There was an :06 video hole after the first slide, which was extended and then dissolved to first watch. Perhaps there was missing video, as prompted when the project loaded (see below). Several minute black holes were covered. When overlay tracks are used, be sure to align them with the lower track, so there's no gap. Overlapping the overlay slightly is one way. Removed all apparently unused rotation effects. Added a fade at about 1:45 to make a jump less noticeable. The "Commitment" slide was misspelled, and fixed. Fades were added to both video and audio. A few v7.30 bugs related to playing/exporting your project have been noted to the developers. Send a watch via UPS.
  9. VP runs on the C:\drive. But you can specify where it caches. Choose a drive with ample space. OPTIONS|DISK tab. Perhaps that will help.
  10. Always and regularly SAVE PROJECT AS, giving it a unique name or number. That way, the save won't overwrite earlier versions, and you can revert if necessary. Also, if you make a mistake, press <ctrl-Z> to backtrack - step-by-step. (Same as EDIT|UNDO) Then try again. If multiple adjacent clips are selected (highlighted) they will drag together. To drag an individual clip to the left into a gap, first click in an open area to the right of the sequence, to be certain that only the clip you want to drag will be selected. Then click on that clip, hold down <shift> and drag left. The other clips to the right should not be affected and a new gap should appear after the clip you dragged. To drag clips to the right and not have them snap back, first select ALL clips that are to the right of the one you are dragging, click that left-most clip, hold down <shift> and drag right. All the following clips should move right and leave a gap. Using DELETE (ripple) will automatically snap clips to the left, with no gap.
  11. For previewing, choose MATCH MONITOR, under the preview window. That should give a better idea of WYSIWYG. Experiment with the Aspect Ratio change effects on specific clips that seem to 'bleed.'
  12. Tough to say without seeing your project. That's a very old version of Videopad. Please share your project, so someone can check it out. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply Save Project. If the material is sensitive, send me the link in a personal message. Click the envelope above.
  13. There is video encoded in the file, which apparently is confusing Videopad. If you'd like to share the project, click FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, then upload the result. The vpj file alone isn't sufficient. See... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  14. That bug was fixed some time back. Here's the latest release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  15. What version are you running? Is this the version that created the project? What are your PC's specs: CPU, free space on C:\; GPU, RAM, etc.? Please share your project, so someone can check it out. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply Save Project. If the material is sensitive, send me the link in a personal message. Click the envelope above.
  16. New feature. Give them time to perfect it. Linking, as you did above is the way to go.
  17. It's working with most file types, but not all. AVIs and Mp4s often fail, and export the entire clip. The bug has been reported.
  18. Good deal! The issue has been confirmed as a bug and is being addressed.
  19. There's something about the nature of that gif that hints it may be non-standard. A developer would have to analyze it. When saved as a jpg, then resaved as a gif, it opens with the default duration in 7.30 and can be dragged. Top graphic - your original. Bottom, the resaved gif. Note the file size difference.
  20. As noted earlier, the original project was not compatible with 6.22 here. Tested several gif files in 7.30 and they were fine, so something about your files, which were all 0.100, was odd.
  21. Let's see what you have. Please share your project so others can analyze it.
  22. Upload the actual file, not an image of it or screen grab. We'll see how it scales in Videopad.
  23. Upload the file and link it here. Someone will check it out.
  24. 6.22 here would not load the project - "incompatible version." 7.02 did no better than 7.30. Missing files.
  25. Please upload an image or two and share a link to it here. Use Google Drive, MS OneDrive, IMGur or the like. Someone will check it out.
