  1. It's not inconceivable that the preview res may gloss over a black frame. Your trap overlapping is a good approach. If you expand the track, with the slider at the bottom-right, you might be able to spot gaps that will cause a flash. As a track is slid left or right a line should appear when one ends and the other begins.... . Checked out a right-side text here and it stayed put on the export, so could not duplicate your result. This isn't a subtitle is it? If that's the case, click the box and Apply To Selected.
  2. Please share your project, as described in the link above, and we'll check out the sync.
  3. So you created a Video file - not a DVD - which was inserted into the TV USB port? What export format - Mp4, AVI, MOV, etc.? No it's not mandatory to purchase, but after a trial period you may find some features disabled. Here's a link to the latest 'lite' version: https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/kb/free.html Upload your project and others will check it out. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it.
  4. Is it out of sync when played in Videopad. Is this a DVD Movie export made with Videopad? Does the TV or player have a sync offset adjustment?
  5. Let's hear it, Grumpy, and someone will check it out. Please share your project so others can analyze it. 6. Look under OPTIONS|EDITING tab and toggle Use Hardware Acceleration. See if that changes things.
  7. What version was used to create the project? Please share the project so others can analyze it. 8. Thirteen files appear to be missing. See my personal message. Was v7.30 used to create the project? What export resolution is desired?
  9. Beta 7.32 appears to have corrected the issue, should you want to check it out.. Remember that betas are test versions and are subject to frequent revisions.
  10. You are absolutely correct. Misread it. The links have been updated to the 7.02 version, which should display the DVD Movie export with the correct A/R.
  11. Just pass along the link to your friend or give her/him a copy of the file that you saved. This issue will be corrected, as the developers are aware of it. You cannot buy that version. For now, suggest that you simply use it as a trial. Certain features may be restricted. If you purchased, try your registration code. Check in later to see whether the latest version has corrected the A/R problem with DVD Movies.
  12. That resolution will slow things down, but it shouldn't max out your CPU. There's no performance difference between the DEMO and Master (pro). The best way to pin this down is for you to please share the project. That way, it can be run just as you see it, to analyze... 13. For a snapshot of a clip in the bin, click on a clip. Then, in the preview window, right-click and Take Snapshot of Clip. For a snap of the sequence, click the timeline. Then, in the PV window, right-click and Take Snapshot of Sequence. For the buzz, click the FX button on the audio track, then to green + sign at the top-left of the effects window. Play with the choices there, especially...high pass, low pass, equalization and noise removal. You can also export the file to Wavepad, where there are extensive options. First, position the Videopad scrubber (red line) at the start of the audio clip. Then right-click on the audio track and Edit With Wavepad. When satisfied with the result, close Wavepad and SAVE. The result should replace the audio track in Videopad. The file will also show up in your PC's MUSIC folder.
  14. Similar hardware here and buffering is rarely seen. While viewing a three-hour project that includes several effects... When loading files or a project, wait until the green caching line above the thumbnails completes or stops flashing. Same for the line under the PV window thumbnails. This can take some time with large hi-def files. Be sure there's lots of free space on the cache folder, as specified in Videopad under OPTIONS|DISK.
  15. There currently is no 64-bit VP version. The latest release is here. Upgrades are free for up to six months after purchase date. It is not clear why green screen is being used. The face can be placed on track two (overlaid), then sized and positioned to cover the desired area of track one. If you need green screen, apply that effect last - after sizing and positioning. It is also possible that the aspect ratios of your images do not match. Open effects for the face and experiment with the Aspect Ratio changes - starting with the LETTERBOX choice. A simple overlay
  16. Very good. When loading, allow the green caching line to complete, as suggested earlier. Proxy editing is an alternative that you might want to explore when dealing with HD large files.
  17. Unlicensed versions may be limited in specific features after the trial period. Don't recall if that includes a limitation on length. Licensed versions have no run-time or other limits and can be upgraded for free within six months of purchase. After that time, there is a fee. The best way to get a handle on your issues is to share a project. Precisely follow the steps here.
  18. After some testing here, it appears that there is still work to be done on DVD Movie exports. In the interim see if this version does the job for you. If you have a licensed copy of the program you may not be able to register this version, but may still be able to output a DVD Movie even with the 7.02 trial.
  19. 4.11 is four years old and much has changed. The techniques described earlier are focused on v6.x and v7.x. Upgrade. Bear in mind that unlicensed copies will disable certain features. Also, due to improvements and changes in how things are done, full backward compatibility cannot be guaranteed. It's best to export with the version that created the project. To sum up... 1. When a clip is deleted using the DEL key or a right-click|DELETE a gap will be left. Close it with a right-click|CLOSE GAP. Use a right-click|DELETE (ripple) and there will be no gap. 2. To move a portion of a clip in the bin to the sequence, first select it, then move the red line to the start. Click SET START. Move the line to the end and click SET END. Click the chevron to the right of the ADD button and choose where the clip is to be placed. 3. To trim a clip that's already on the sequence, select it, then click the Preview tab above the preview window. Mark the SET START and SET END points. The sequence clip will be trimmed without gaps. 4. Of course, a clip on the sequence can be simply split out (which creates a new sequence clip) and the unwanted adjacent clips deleted. Trim procedures, using the SET buttons, apply to video clips, not to still images. Check out the tutorials.
  20. What version are you using? Try this one. No one here has reported similar behavior. If no joy, please share your project so others can analyze it. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. 21. Glad it worked out. The completed version, with both A/V fade at the end, is linked in my PM. Available for a few days.
  22. It's not clear what you are attempting to do. "Less than 1-2 min?" A transition can be added to any clip that displays the X. Its allowable length is determined by the length of the transitioned clips.
  23. The best way to get a handle on this is to see the project, just as you do. Please share it... 24. You have clips in the bin (upper-left). They can be dragged to the sequence in full. Or, to easily use just a segment of a bin clip, select (highlight) it. Then, in the preview window (top-right) drag the scrubber (red line) to where you want to begin. Click the Set Start button. Drag the line to where you want the clip to end. Click the Set End button. Click the small chevron to the right of the ADD button (under the preview window) and choose where you want the clip to be placed. It will appear there on the sequence. If you want to delete any clip in the sequence, right-click it and DELETE. A gap will be left. Right-click that gap and CLOSE GAP. If you instead use DELETE (ripple) there will be no gap. The clips to the right of the deleted clip will snap to the left. Again, to let folks run your project, share it as described above.
