Recently, an odd behavior has begun to appear in editing. When I play the video in Sequence Preview, the red cursor jumps back for 0.5 - 1 s and repeats video and audio. This does not occur in the very beginning of the video, but a bit later , and very often. It also takes a very long time for VideoPad to start and close. The video is quite long, 1.5 hours, format 768 x 576 PAL video. Originally it has been captured from a Sony digital camcorder in AVI. Then it has been deinterlaced and converted to MP4 by HD Video Convert Factory Pro. VideoPad version is 8.32. Operating system is Windows 10. I have a quite capable PC, Intel i7 CPU, 16 GB RAM and 240 GB SSD, so this should not be a problem. Editing in this situation is very difficult, so I would be really thankful for help.

Hello everyone, So I am currently using VideoPad Video Editor to edit a music video for a client and so far it has been very good. But when sending out an exported rough cut of the video to a group of editors, an editor noted that after one of the transitions, there is a quick flash. I realized it was the fade transition going from nothing to the image, but once the transition ends, it cuts right to the video clip. I realized what was going on. It creates a weird "flash" effect because the clip during the transition is dark, but once the transition is over, it cuts to the original video clip which is light. I tried my hardest to try and fix it but I think it is just the software and there is nothing to be done about it. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, is there a way to fix it or is that just how the transition is and there is nothing to be done? All input is appreciated. Thank you, LaTasia G.

Hello I am having a totally frustrating issue with VideoPad that I think I may have accidentally induced and now cannot for the life of me revert So, I completed a long, laborious video I was making, and when I went back to edit/move some clips, all the other clips that were on the same track as it moved (to the left) on the track as if to make up the difference with the "new space" available This has basically moved all of my clips from there correct place, to being to early in the video, and has totally thrown everything off sync! I have seen some people saying hold down shift to "remedy" this problem, and at times, it has appeared to (somewhat) work. However, I swear editing my other videos did not have this problem, so I am wondering, did I accidentally do something that made this video act like this? I would really appreciate any help in regards to this, as this has totally disrupted my workflow and made me absolutely furious with the software!

So im not sure whats happening because if i watch the video on my computer unedited it works fine. i have sped up part of my hour long video to 1000 times and im unsure if that is the cause but i added in a transition, and the video that should show up after the transition is instead replaced by a buffering/looping of part of the project that is in the beginning of the video. the audio plays just fine, but the project does not load the rest of the video it should be. help? edit: i have tried slowing down the 1000x part of the video to 700x and that does not help. i have also tried making a new project and the new project is even more messed up than the initial one. is it because of the video length?
