    balloon effect

It's available in the effects menu of beta version 7.33, if you want to test it out. Be aware that betas are subject to change and may contain as yet undiscovered bugs. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  2. You cannot ... unless you revert to an older version of Videopad.
  3. Probably. But we need to see it as you do. Not the export, but the project itself. Upload, share, post the shared link. Instructions here... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it. What version of Videopad is being used?
  4. What VP version are you using? The best way to track down the issue is to let someone analyze it. Let's take a look. 5. Your test project exported fine in beta v7.33. That version can be downloaded here. Bear in mind: it's a test, subject to change. There were oddities in the project's construction... Silent and muted audio track 2 was linked to video track 4. Why that occurred and where two and three went is unclear. What was the A/V content of the source files? Cleaned things up by UNlinking those tracks, then deleted audio 2 and renamed video 4 and 5 to video 2 and 3 respectively. That done, the end of the overlay track ended at :21, so its right-hand boundary was dragged to the end of audio. Try the test version, and optionally make the indicated changes to see if that does the job for you.
  6. What version of Videopad is being used? You should be able to click on the blue link to invoke a file explorer box. Then choose a folder and SAVE. Use the PC's file manager to delete unwanted folders.
  7. Which sequence are you working with - #1 or #2? #2 looks most complete. An image can be added to sequence 2, but sequence one acts as you described in v7.30. Download and install this beta version, and see if it solves the issue. Looks good here. Retain your old install file and reg info. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  8. What Videopad version is being used? Share a project that has the issue and someone will check it out... 9. What is the image format? Adding it after a video clip should be no problem. Let's see what you see. Someone will check it out. 10. Animate it... In the preview screen, use the POSITION effect to drag the overlay image off-screen to the starting location. Set a keyframe by clicking the small green + sign. Then move the scrubber (red line) in the effects window to the position where the action is to end. Set another keyframe. The graph would look like this for a one second clip if the image drops from the top to the middle of the frame within a half-second, then holds still for remaining half. In this example the overlay image has been scaled down to .30. But that may not be necessary in your case. For animation instructions see http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win/effects_animating.html
  11. Effects apply to images as well as videos. No difference. Check out the preset options for the POSITION effect, or animate your own trajectory.

    sound problem

What version of VP is being used. Share, and someone will check out your project - see if they can confirm your result.

    Fade in?

And a fade OUT configurable duration would also be helpful. In the meantime, build yourself a custom transparency effect template. Open the effects editor, choose TRANSPARENCY, set the opacity at zero and click the small green + to set a keyframe. Then move the scrubber (red line) to the fade-in length desired and set another keyframe. You can also drag the line upwards between these points to customize the curvature of the fade in. When satisfied, click the SAVE icon in the effects toolbar (4th from the left) and give the template a name. Thereafter, to apply this fade in, open effects and scroll down to the templates section. Apply your template. To apply the template to multiple clips... Select (highlight) the clips, then ON THE TOOLBAR choose video effects and scroll to your template. A prompt will appear asking to APPLY TO ALL or to ONE.
  15. Another approach within VP is to split out the audio track areas where audio should be lowered. Then double-click each of those split-out audio clips. The audio waveform appears in the preview window with that clip highlighted. 'Grab' the line and pull it down to the level desired for each clip. Or split out audio track areas where gain is to be reduced, then select all those clips. Click fx on one of them and choose AMPLIFY. Set gain to - say 85% - and click the fourth button from the left in the toolbar, "Replace effects chain.." That should apply the reduced gain to all selected audio clips.
  16. Sorry to hear that. Don't recall other reports of your issues and would be happy to work with you on resolving them, per the above link. Good luck!
  17. This hints that you are using an old VP version where ducking was listed but not truly functional. It's not a feature in the latest, but would be welcomed. In the interim, look into VST plugins - perhaps for Wavepad, or use Audacity freeware. The result can then be imported into Videopad. Request ducking by clicking on the chevron at the top-right of the VP window and making a suggestion.
  18. What Videopad version is being used? Here's the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Was unable to duplicate your result in a test here. Share your project and someone will check it out. It's easy. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. 19. Using the precise resolutions/AR you specified for the images, both my method and Nat's were tested here in v7.32, which is the latest. In each case, the overlay moved smoothly from off-screen left to off-screen right. No clipping, no need for A/R effect. For positioning, the image in the preview screen was dragged, not the circle base line in the sequence screen. Test v7.32. If registered, keep your old installer on hand, though it's usually stored on the PC automatically. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. During position manipulations the PV overlay image has a tendency to vanish, though the positioning box remains. That behavior may be a bug. Reported. You can do that as well by clicking on the chevron at the top-right of the VP window and choosing to Send Bug Report.
  20. If there is nothing on tracks 2 and 3, delete them. Optionally, tracks can be renamed if you like by right-clicking to the left of their thumbnails. Hiding a track will keep it from showing up in preview and export, but it should still be visible, though darkened, on the sequence. When there are too many tracks to display, a scrollbar appears at the right. To reset the interface, click the hamburger menu (three-lines) at the top-left of the window, click VIEW, then RESET. What Videopad version are you using? Here's the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  21. Works for me. The image occasionally vanishing is an item that likely should be fixed.
  22. What version of Videopad is being used? Try the alternative of exporting the project as a VIDEO file in an approved YouTube format. Then, use their uploader. See https://www.wikihow.com/Upload-a-Video-to-YouTube
  23. Here's the approach that appears to do what you want... Begin with a 1280x720 background (track 1) and a small overlay (track 2) as Nat describes above. Click the fx on the overlay and choose MOTION. Set SCALE to .20 VERTICAL 75 HORIZONTAL -100 X BASE, -20, which moves the image off-screen left. The image will temporarily vanish when scrubbing (possible bug) but the box containing it remains, showing the correct positioning. Set a keyframe, then move the scrubber (red line) to the end of the overlay. Set HORIZONTAL to +100 X BASE +20, which moves the image off-screen right. Set a keyframe. Play. The export looked good at the 1280x720 default settings.
  24. Those issues are likely fixed. Try the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Unregistered versions will have some limitations.
  25. First save your project. Then submit a small portion of the project - say five minutes or so. To do that easily, place the mouse pointer on the sequence scrubber (the red line) until it becomes a two-headed arrow. Hold down the left mouse button and drag left or right to select (highlight) the region/s that you want to delete. Right-click in the highlighted area and Delete Selected Region. What remains is a small segment that you can upload and share, following instructions in the above link. Someone will check out the BluRay issue. Did you try burning a conventional DVD? Using R/W or BE (read/write media) for testing will save you from making DVD coasters.
