  1. As requested, if you upload the sound file someone will test it to confirm your findings and suggest a cure.
  2. As delivered with the project, the file is silent. Upload the raw file please. Is this the project that freezes?
  3. Share it. UPload to a free server, make the link public and post it here. Someone will check it out.
  4. VP handles Mp4 seamlessly in most cases. Your initial project, linked above, loads the Mp4 files with no video. Yes, you have a slide on the video track, but the video from the Mp4 files has somehow been removed. VP likely sees the missing AVC video as an open-ended track, and thus won't complete the export. Method 1. If those Mp4 files are instead loaded into a new VP instance, UNlinked from audio, then video is deleted and a slide placed on the video track, export quickly completes. Method 2. An alternative would be to prepare the audio in Wavepad, save as Mp3 and import to VP. Lock the audio track (lock icon at the left), then add/edit video. If you plan to use images from the three Mp4 files after isolating the audio track via one of those methods, first lock the audio track so it won't be disturbed. Then position the scrubber (red line) and right-click the file in the bin. OVERLAY AT CURSOR. Do this for each A/V clip that you import. Note that this will place the clip on the 2nd video and audio tracks. Simply mute the audio track (speaker icon at left). Now edit the video. In this case video track one can be deleted, but it's not necessary.
  5. You must include a video clip, even if it's a blank, or VP doesn't know when to stop. Wavepad is a better choice for audio manipulation.
  6. VP won't do automatic editing. The creativity is in your hands.
  7. It's best to export with the version that created the project. What version was that? That said, in the export configuration box there are options for many formats. Click the RESOLUTION box and test some of the choices. Share your project and someone will check it out. Here's how: http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply as Save Project. 8. Let's take a look. Share your project. 9. Using the latest version? https://www.nchsoftware.com/download/videopadlaunch.exe For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Your logo issue is likely an aspect ratio mismatch. Open effects on the logo clips and apply LETTERBOX TO ASPECT RATIO. If that doesn't solve it, please share your project as instructed here. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply Save Project. If it contains sensitive material, send me a personal message with the link to the file. Click the envelope above.
  10. 15 ab voice track only.mp4 is 55 minutes long and seems to hang, but after a few minutes eventually loads into VP. There's no point in having Mp4 clips if they are to be used strictly for audio. As noted earlier, when audio is Mp3 the project, at its current stage, loads instantly and exports quickly.
  11. It is unclear why the audio files are Mp4, which is a video container. That appears to be causing the hang. After audio was converted in Wavepad to Mp3 files, a new project was begun. (If an Mp4 is opened in Wavepad it will query whether it should be loaded into WP or VP.) In that program you can combine and tweak audio to your heart's content.^_^ Those files and the .png video were imported. Project loads in about two seconds and exports in less than 30 at lowest resolution. Suggest that you create your audio in Wavepad, which was designed for the purpose. Then export it as Mp3 and import to VP. An alternative method that succeeded here was to... 1 Place the three "audio only" Mp4 files on the sequence. The images will be shown in Video track 1 2. Right-click on each audio clip and UNlink from video, then delete all video 3. Place the still image on the timeline 4. Export. Takes much longer than the Mp3 route, above.
  12. Exactly. Load the final video. Make your edits, removing the unwanted sections. Export the final. This would be the new "highlight" reel. Good info in the tutorials, linked at the top of this forum.
  13. If you have completed editing, you can export in any number of formats. Is that what you want to do? If not, explain what this "highlight" reel is and where it will be viewed.
  14. If the clip isn't available for download, capture it. Debut is worth a look. Then the result can be imported to VP, edited and exported.
  15. From NCH... Please be aware if you purchased more than 6 months ago you may need to purchase an upgrade to use the current version. For upgrade pricing go to https://www.nch.com.au/upgrade/index.html with your old registration ID number and Key. If you want to try the current version with the option to restore your older version, please backup your Program Files sub folder containing the software for Windows, or copy the app from your Applications folder to a backup location for Mac OS
  16. 7.25 is the current release. But it won't hurt to download it anew as subtle issues are occasionally remedied. At least that's the case with beta test versions.
  17. If the export issue persists suggest that you use this tool to completely uninstall the program. Take care to uninstall ONLY Videopad. Then install the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  18. Export here, using default 1422 x 800 Mp4 settings, took 70 seconds on a PC comparable to your own. The image needs a background.
  19. Something isn't right for sure. An audio clip can be exported as a WAV. Right-click it in the bin or on the sequence and SAVE AUDIO CLIP AS NEW FILE. It likely will go to the Music folder on the PC. A track ends where its final clip ends, irrespective of how much zoom is applied to the sequence display. Click the <--> at the bottom-right of the window to display the entire sequence. Yes, an image - even a blank - is required. Otherwise VP doesn't know where to stop an export. To see if there's a 'phantom' video clip, switch to Storyboard mode. Only your single clip should be shown. Some general tips... Clear Unused Cache Files, under OPTIONS|DISK tab and try another export. During export close all other programs The best way to troubleshoot this is for you to share the project. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If the material is sensitive you can link to it in a personal message to me. Click the envelope at the top-right here. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply Save Project.
  20. NCH chat help indicated that any non-copyrighted audio is fair game and that text-to-speech was acceptable as well. That said, they advised to check YouTube policies on that content.
  21. What version of VP? Did you go to OPTIONS|DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files after restarting VP but before loading the profile? Try that. Occasionally the cache can become corrupt. Also be certain that there is ample free space on your C:\ drive. You might also try reinstalling the program after UNinstalling via Control Panel|PROGRAMS AND FEATURES. Delete all data as well.

    Audio

Your are referring to Videopad? What version? Specifically, what file type? It's unclear what "hearvsoubd" or "inside the studio" refer to. If audio is on the sequence, verify that it's not muted or that a volume slider isn't turned down. Both are just left of each audio track.
  23. Try the current version. Uninstall via Control Panel|PROGRAMS AND FEATURES, then install 7.25. Go to OPTIONS|DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Load the project. Still an issue? Please share, with a link here or via a message to me (click the envelope). http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Be sure to FILE|SAVE AS PORTABLE PROJECT, not just "project."
  24. Indeed. Protect yourself with SAVE AS and a unique # or name, regularly. Strangeness happens.
  25. If the project was somehow corrupted there may be a back up on the drive. Do a search of C:\ for vpj files. Try the tips. If they don't succeed update to 7.25 - as linked above. Or share that project and someone will take a look.
