  1. It's best to start a new thread, giving specifics on exactly what is being done. A good way for others to help is to see your project just as you do. It's easy... Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it. Also you might want to try the latest version. The 6x series is dated. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  2. https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html?software=VideoPad&version=7.33 Send NCH your suggestions.
  3. To move half to another sequence first split all tracks at the halfway point, using the SPLIT button. Then select (highlight) all second-half tracks, audio and video. One way to do that is to hold down the <ctrl> key and click on each clip. Then press the <ctrl-C> keys on the keyboard simultaneously. The will copy the clips. Click the + sign to the right of the sequence 1 tab to add a blank sequence. Press the <ctrl-V> keys on the keyboard simultaneously. That will paste the clips that you copied, though they may appear on different tracks. If you make a mistake simply press <ctrl-Z> or EDIT|UNDO on the menu bar, to go back. Now you can export each track independently.
  4. Not seen here in recent releases. What version of Videopad is being used? What are the specs of your PC: GPU, RAM, CPU, free drive space? Is export slower now than it was in an earlier version? What version? If you share your project, someone will check it out. It's easy... 5. One simple method for creating two exported files would be to delete half the project, then export it. Reload the project and delete the other half, and export. Always retain a back up of the entire project. Another approach: add a sequence by clicking the + sign to the right of the sequence e1 tab. Move half the project to it. Each sequence is exported independently.
  6. As the issue can't be duplicated here in v7.32, either with your project or a new one, suggest you revert to an older version. Try this. It's best if a project is reloaded, and exported, by the version that created it.
  7. Took a look in v7.32 and was unable to duplicate your issue. Every overlay, whether text or video, followed the timeline during play and export. Spotted two incorrect overlays, at about 5:56 and 17:03, where the desired video was overridden by a higher track. Back up the project. Then go to Control Panel|Programs and Features and right-click the Videopad item. Uninstall, including data files. Then install the current release version. Report results here.
  8. Upload the clip and share it here; someone will check it out. Use a free server, such as Google Drive, MS OneDrive, DropBox or the like. Share the clip and post the link here. Specifically, what editing did you apply to the file to remove hiss? What version of Videopad is being used?
  9. Yes, we need to see the actual project, or a portion thereof that demonstrates the text overrun. Instructions above.
  10. Assuming that the final text clip is on a higher track than the main video (an overlay), have you dragged its right border to the left to match up with the end of the lower-track clip? Let's take a look at the project, so folks can analyze what might be the cause of the issue... 11. Though it's Windows, not Mac here...would still like to take a look at your project, to my PM box. Because the project is big, you might split out and delete part of it (after saving, of course) and submit the remainder for analysis per the instructions above.
  12. Any unlicensed trial version can be installed. Hang on to your old installer. It would be helpful in tracking down issues if you could address Macfly's questions, above.

    Zoom Effect

If adding multiple effects to a single clip, try reversing the order in which they are applied. Someone will analyze the project, or a segment that has blacked out on the sequence. Here's how to share it... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. 14. Can't analyze it unless it can been seen. If you don't want it made public send a private message by clicking the mail folder at the top-right of this forum. A recent green screen project run in v7.32 here looked clean.
  15. Make your thoughts known. Click on the chevron at the top-right of the VP window and report bugs or make suggestions. The developers do see them.
  16. What Videopad version is being used? Here is the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. Place it on the timeline, then follow these instructions. 17. The project was saved here, and sent to Jack in a PM.
  18. The policy is stated here. https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/versions.html If you delve into competing products you will discover that this marketing approach is not exclusive to VP. One prosumer editor that comes to mind charges a substantial fee for yearly updates. The subscription model is becoming more popular - at least with firms if not their clients. VP offers it as well, so that would keep you current. With some programs it is now the only payment option.

    Zoom Effect

Applied a number of pan/zoom and zoom effects to your project and didn't encounter problems. Perhaps a bad install. Delete the "C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" folder and reinstall. Or try v7.33 beta, which is a test and is subject to change. Report results here.
  20. There should be a marked contrast between the screen and the non-green subject. Use the threshold, fading and feathering sliders to tweak the edges. Use the latest Videopad version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  21. Please upload a small source file that exihibits this behavior in VP, so someone can experiment with it. Use Google Drive, MS OneDrive or the like and share the file with a link here. Thanks.
  22. Sorry, don't have those answers for you. But here's a resource that should put you in touch with someone who does... https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/support.html Note the link to a tech support form, at the bottom of the page. Yes, that's a large file. But if you do decide to share, it will be passed along to the developers, who are keen on tracking down problems.
  23. Don't know that success in Windows would prove success on your Mac, but you can PM it to me via the envelop in the top-right corner of this forum. Click on Compose a New Message and then type "borate" into the TO field. Load the project that you created in 7.31, save as PORTABLE project, upload, share and send me the link. It may be passed along to the developers for analysis. Please detail your experience with the latest Mac version in a Bug Report, as suggested above.
  24. In Windows each installer is saved to the programs folder. On the Mac you might use the finder to locate the VP executable. If that fails 6.03 may be available here. That's not a sanctioned NCH site, but appears to be legit. Beware of extra offers during the install, and reject them. Unfamiliar with Mac user interface nuances here, but the process of saving as a portable project should be similar to Windows versions. Here's what the general HELP file says... Finalize a Project - Backing Up or Moving a Project to Another Computer A project file only stores the paths of media files (including video, audio, and image files), not the entire file contents. When a project file is loaded, it attempts to find and load the media files using those file paths. If a media file has been moved or deleted, or the project file alone has been copied or moved to another computer, VideoPad will not be able to find the original media files. To back up a project and all its media files, or to move a project and all its media files to another computer, select File -> Back Up Project Files to Folder, or Save Portable Project As. This will save a new copy of the project (.vpj) file in the selected folder, and all media files used in the project will also be copied into the same folder. This entire folder can then be saved to backup media, or copied or moved to another computer. Once the portable project is saved, follow the instructions in the link above to upload and share it here or in a private message.
  25. Reinstall your older version. Does it succeed? If so, please file a bug report. Click the chevron at the top-right of the Videopad window and fill out the bug form. If you care to share a short project for analysis, it's not difficult.
