  1. Is the distortion only happen on one computer (i.e. your laptop)?
  2. Add a bank clip to track one with the background color you wanted. Make sure the red cursor is at where you want to start the description. For an opening screen it should be at the beginning. Click "Add Text" button on the tool bar to create a new text clip. Type in the description in the text box. Format the text (change size, color etc.) if needed. Best Regards,
  3. Yes, that's a limitation. The height of the track only adjustable while there is only one track. I think I've missed this post before. Just filed this as a suggestion to the team.
  4. The two files not only sound the same also looks the same for me while comparing the waveform. Also good while playing in Clip Preview. Try go to Options->Audio select a different playback device (driver).
  5. vfc files are now used as templates. To use old vfc files as a template, just copy it to the following folder: C:\Users\[user Name]\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\VideoPad\EffectTemplate We'll add buttons to allow you import old vfc files but please do it manually for now.
  6. Which version of VideoPad are you using? There should be a "Resolve Missing Files" dialog pops up when opening the file if there is any file missing. You need to click the "Resolve" button to find the file. If you click "Finish" without resolve, the unresolved files will be automatically removed from your project.
  7. It could be the files that you have put in the bin but didn't used in the timeline.
  8. Thanks for the testing, the numbers look reasonable. One of the reason that MPEG4 faster than H264 might because MPEG4 codec is built in VP while H264 is an external (downloadable) component. There are overheads while using H264 codec. Another reason is that H264 provides more precision so the implementation could be less efficient. If you happy with the quality, then yes, MPEG4 is a better choice.
  9. What version of VideoPad are you using? If the latest version (v4.40) has this issue, is it possible to share the project files (on DropBox, Google Drive etc.) to let us have a look? Please PM me the links if can do so. Best Regards,
  10. I would think H264 is at higher quality than MPEG4 when the file size is the same. We didn't expose all settings for H264 though. It would be interesting to see what happen if you get the exported file size similar to MPEG4 by changing the quality factor. BTW: I think YouTube is recommending H264 instead of MPEG4? 11. Or Right Click on the video clip, select "Restore Linked Audio". In fact if you want to recover from dragging it out of sync, you can just "Undo" (Ctrl + Z).
  12. Hi, Thanks for reporting the building preview issue. We'll investigate and try to fix it in the next version. For 64-bit, a 4k image is about 33M in memory. We can fit about 60 in 2G memory. So unless your project is very complicated, it should be sufficient for VP's process pipeline. Normally each effect will keep one or two of those in memory to work on. If you run into problem that not enough memory please let us know. It's more likely VP is not using memory efficiently or a bug. Edit: Fixed wrong size calculation above. Best Regards,
  13. Hi, If the 4.40 did the same, please run a "dxdiag" report and post here so we can start the investigation: Windows Start Menu -> Run (right click the start button to get the Run menu on Windows 10) -> Type in dxdiag -> Press Enter
  14. Yes, select (click) the Position or Scale effect in the effects window. The widgets corresponding to the selected effect will show up on the Clip Preview window. Best Regards,
  15. That's a bit too small. You can use the URL under "Show direct this image" section to show the original size image. Never mind now I know you don't have overlay clips, that's all I need to know. Thanks,
  16. Hi Susan, To post a screenshot, it must be uploaded to an internet server. There are free servers out there allow to upload photos like this one: http://pictr.com/ Once the screenshot is uploaded, click the "Image" button and copy-paste the URL in the box then click OK.
  17. Workaround: Add padding to the images (using a photo editing tool) to target frame size.
  18. Hi Susan, I'm glad that it turns out OK. My guess is that it could be a glitch in our preview system. I've seem similar things but they don't effect final output. We'll fix these glitches but they are at the end of the to-do list. A screenshot would be interesting. But if you don't bother to do so is also fine. Best Regards,
  19. You can record from webcam in VideoPad. VideoPad -> Main Toolbar -> Record -> Record Video...
  20. Hi Aresby, We've planed adding a automatically audio normalize feature in VideoPad like the one in WavePad. But you have to manually adjust the volume for now. The easiest way is use the volume adjustment line in the ClipPreview window: You can simply click on the blue line to add a new keyframe.
  21. Yes, you can launch both and do screen capture with Debut and webcam recording with VideoPad.
  22. To remove the unwanted part without cutting, you can just click (select) that clip on the timeline and adjust the start/end position in Clip Preview.
  23. Hi Nat, We can now editing parameters from different effects at the same time. For example, you might want to match the keyframes from rotation and position effects. Cursor related editing commands (e.g. add keyframe) work on all visible lines. You can hide the lines when you don't want to change them. It works like select/unselect lines. Yes, it is confusing when they are initially hidden. But we concern that users feel overwhelming when they are all visible initially. I'll work on that see if I can make a balance between the two.
