    HELP!

The autosave project is hidden - so you don't have to worry about it. It would be much more convenient to save your project by using the Save button.
  2. Could you please describe the problem in a bit more detail?
  3. "Burn disc image" is available for a clean installation of Windows 10. But if you had installed one of the burner software, they most likely will hide the menu option or replace it. A disc image contains information for every physical tracks on a disc. If you burn two disc with one image, they will be exactly the same despite the contain of the disc. A wmv, avi etc. are computer only video files. They can't be recognised by DVD players. What a burner software such as DVD maker, Express Burn do is to convert the video files to a DVD recognisable format and put the information on the tracks of the disc. If you choose Export to DVD movie from VideoPad. VP should generate a DVD disc for you without the need for burner software. Alternatively instead of directly output to a disc you can tell VP to store the physical tracks information as a ISO file. You can then use tools like "Burn disc image" in Windows to put that information on a disc.

    HELP!

As Borate pointed out: VPJ file are not a video file so it won't play. It contains all the editing instruction you've done to a project. VideoPad can load it and restore the editing progress. It'll take just a blink to save a VPJ file. VideoPad automatically saves VPJ files during your editing. They will be deleted when VideoPad quit normally. If VideoPad crashed, the auto-saved project will be detected and prompted to load when you restart VideoPad.

    HELP!

Have you ever saved your project? You can search for ".vpj" to locate VideoPad project files.
  8. Windows 10 does have built-in DVD burner.
  9. Thanks for the information. The other user also reported similar issue. She's sending the DVD to us by mail. I'm still waiting for receiving the DVD to further investigate the issue. One thing you can try though is export to ISO image from VP. And then use Windows build in burner to burn it on the disc (right click the ISO file in File Explorer and then select Burn disc image). So we know if the issue is causing by the burner code.
  10. A few screenshots would be very helpful so we can see how the project was arranged.
  11. Please include VideoPad version in your post. How to include a link to screenshots (or any file) in your forum post. For sharing a project see below. Screenshots can often help describe the problem better. Upload the image to Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, etc. Copy (share) the URL and paste it into your post here. If using Google Drive, click on GET | COPY, and confirm that it's not RESTRICTED. The screenshot itself won't be posted, but clicking the link will display it. How to share your project for analysis: Share your project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server. To protect your privacy you can use the Personal Messenger (PM) to send the link to an Admin or Support forum ID. Click the mail icon, top-right. After analysis, your project will be deleted. Direct X diagnostic (Windows only): DirectX diagnostic report includes detailed information on your computer hardware. To get a DirectX report, press (right click on Win 10) Start button->Run. And then type in "dxdiag". <enter> Select "Save All Information" and save the report as a text file that can be attached to a message. MediaInfo: It's an open source small tool which reports information for video and audio files. It will come in handy if you want to analyze a video/audio file that has playback issues. MediaInfo can be downloaded here. Searchable HELP If reading Videopad's HELP file (click ? at the top-right of the window), press <ctrl-F> to enable a FIND box (bottom-left). If the following file is downloaded, the PDF reader has a search function. Click the three-lined hamburger menu at the top-right and Find In This Page. http://tinyurl.com/y82bqdyq
  12. You can also upload to this site. You don't need an account, it's free for images under 2MB. And then paste the URL in as Borate mentioned above.
  13. Hi Jewitter, Does the latest version works for you?
  14. Could you please answer a few questions: What's the version of VideoPad are you using? If it's not the latest version have you tried the latest version (v4.45)? What's the DVD player's brand and model? Which Windows version are you using?
  15. Also please check the DVD player's manual and make sure it supports the disc (DVD R+/-, DVD RW+/- etc.).
  16. A screen shot for when you browsing the files in VIDEO_TS or when the error message comes up could help.
  17. Thanks for the suggestion! I've put it on our to do list.
  18. You can also create a blank clip, add a transparent effect make it 100% transparent. Put the invisible clip on track 2 before/next to the jpeg and add fade transition between them.
  19. A bad behaved VirtualDub plugin can definitely cause the issue. While editing effects, VP needs to re-apply the entire effect chain for any change in order to interactive with the user. So if you have a VirtualDub effect in your effect chain, the VirtualDub effect will also be re-computed when you changed other effects in the chain.
  20. It is really hard to tell what causing it. I think it must related to your computer since you are the only one that reports this issue. However we would sill like to know if there is a bug in VIdeoPad. Would you mind run a diagnostic build which generates trace log and send the trace log back to us?
  21. We've found some issues in later versions since v4.30 when loading old version files which causing missing clips in loaded project. This issue will be fixed in the next release. We are planning for a new release in about two weeks time. For now, the only way to get around it is use a version between 3.00 to 4.22 open the old project and then save it as a new one.
  22. Could you please try the latest version? It might be a bug we've already fixed.
  23. Yes, black and white should be optional. Thanks for the suggestion!
  24. Which VP version are you using? What's the brand and model of the blu-ray player?
