  1. Hi Triviatus, That's right, VP only saves the project file, which only contains the editing information. The individual (media) files are still used when exporting the final video. Best Regards,
  2. VP can only use the Deshaker version that comes with it since the way how Deshaker works. We'll try to stay with the stable version if there is no obvious benefit to upgrade to the new version.
  3. Hi, We've re-designed the effects window. The new effects window will interact with the main UI instead of blocking everything behind. For example, you'll be able select clips while the effects window is opening, and then click the "Apply to selection" button to apply the current effect chain to the all selected clips. The new version is in testing now and will be released soon. Best Regards,
  4. We've recently added some new features and the Mac devs are still working on to get them in to the Mac version. I think it would take a few weeks before the next Mac release.
  5. Have you tried the Border effect?
  6. In fact "background" probably a bit misleading. Showing "background" means you can see the composed sequence instead of just the clip which the effects apply to. For example there is a clip on track 1 and another on track 2. When editing the effects for track 1, turn on "background" will only see the track 2 clip since it's overlaying on top. Hope this make sense.
  7. We are already working on adding some audio effects from WavePad to VideoPad. Cheers,
  8. Hi, We've tested it on all the machines and microphones we got but still couldn't reproduce the issue. We'll keep an eye on the user bug reports see if other users having the same issue. At this point, we are not sure if this is a bug in VIdeoPad or hardware/driver problem. Best Regards,
  9. If the problem is in the latest release, please report and describe the problem here. It could be a problem we didn't fix yet. Edit: Just confirmed that the latest Mac release doesn't include the fix for the zoom issue. We are going to release both Mac and Windows soon.
  10. Hi, I've tried but couldn't reproduce the issue. Could you please share the project files on DropBox / Google Drive / One Drive etc.? Please share the vpj file and the media files if possible. Thanks!
  11. Just to clarify: GPU is not used for encode/decode process. It is used to accelerate some effects (e.g. animated crop, zoom, 3D effects) when it's appropriate.
  12. Hi, Since last time you've uploaded to YouTube, VideoPad automatically log in the account using a key issued by YouTube if you allowed. You need to wait a while (depend on the size of the video) for YouTube to process the clip after uploaded successful. After the clip is processed, you can find them in YouTube Creator Studio -> Video Manager -> Videos. Hope that helps.
  13. Select Export tab from the main toolbar and then click the YouTube button. Complete the information (Format, Description etc.) and click the Create button.
  14. Is there any reason you have to export constant frame rate? If you un-check the constant frame option the result will be fine.
  15. Hi Steve, When a clip is slowed down. There are missing frames in between the original frames. For example slowing down a 30fps clip by 50% (15fps) and export to another 30fps clip, you'll have a missing frame in between every original frames. Currently VideoPad generates the missing frames by cross-fading the original frames. That's why you see the "ghost" image in some frames. We are aware of the problem and knew the corss-fading might good for some videos but not for the others. We are working on providing other options to generates missing frames. Best Regards,
  16. I've made a suggestion to the team for allowing to change preview speed. Thanks,
  17. Yes, you can process the audio separately in WavePad. To apply the de-esser effect: Select Effects tab from the toolbar. Click VST button Select the folder where you have the de-esser file Select the detected plugin from the lower list Click OK
  18. Never mind, I think I've fingered it out. The reason of the quality drops was exporting the 720p video to 1080p. When stretching an image bigger it is unavoidable that the result become a bit blurry. Even when you stretching the 1080p image back to 720p you can't get the image as sharp as it's original. This problem is more noticeable when you have text or other sharp elements in the video. If you want to keep the the text as sharp as the original video, it would be better to avoid stretching by exporting to the same resolution. Please see below for my testing. 1. Comparing exported 1080p (left) with the orignal (right). You can see obvious difference: 2. Comparing exported 720p (left) with the original (right): For H264 compressor, you don't need to set the quality to highest. The second image above is exported using default quality.
  19. In "Encoder Options" dialog, What's the video compressor (e.g. H264, MPEG4)? I've compared the videos you uploaded. Yes the one you produced seems blur and in surprisingly big size. We need some detail information to identify the problem.
  20. @wlpb: Could you please try create a small project with only a few images organized in the same way? I've done some testing here but couldn't reproduce the problem. We need a project that causing the problem so we can fix it. You help is most appreciated!
  21. Thanks for reporting this! That could be the reason.
  22. Could you please post your codec settings here?
  23. It seems v4.30 solved the problem for Pengunick. If you still have it in v4.30 I think we should investigate. Could you please try simplify your project see if the problem still here? If you found a particular position has the freeze, try remove the other clips and only keep the clips passed through the position see if the problem still exist. Please save as a new project before doing this.
  24. I'm glad you can get around it. Some codecs require more memory then others so I think it would worth to fiddle with the codec settings if you really want to export high resolution and high frame rate videos. The reason VideoPad used more memory now is that VideoPad now process multiple frames in parallel when exporting. This can dramatically speed up the exporting however need more memory to work on. For example, it might decode two video stream at the same time and since double the memory usage. We are working on a more sophisticated solution which will fall back to single frame processing when the memory is low.
  25. Could you please share your project (on DropBox, Google Drive, One Drive etc.) so we can investigate?
