  1. Bugs in the release versions are unintentional. If you can provide more detail (for example, steps and/or files that can reproduce the crash), we'll send you a free license key of the latest version which with the fix applied. Best Regards,
  2. Yes, there are few other similar reports. We are currently investigating the issue and waiting for the DVD from one of the customers. The DVD may help us find out what causing the issue as we can not reproduce the issue. Could you please tell us your hardware specification, DVD burner brand/model?
  3. In VideoPad, you can highlight a section on the timeline by dragging the red cursor line (anywhere but not the handle at the top) and press delete key to delete that section.
  4. I've already reported the bug to our audio team devs. They will work on it shortly. Best Regards,
  5. When I was testing on XP, I did noticed the playback cursor sometimes jumps back about 1.5 seconds when start playing. The video will wait until the playback cursor moves back to start position. This is an known XP specified DirectSound issue. Unfortunately it's a system inherent issue and we can't do much about it. VideoPad activates sound player even when there is no audio to play. That's because the video preview playback is driven by the sound player to get A/V exactly sync. Best Regards,
  6. Hi Nathan, Speed change causing preview delay has been fixed in the latest version (v4.45). Please download it and give it a try.
  7. What version of VideoPad are you using? Windows or Mac?
  8. Hi, Thanks for your effort to help us clarify the issue. From what you've described, it sounds like an issue with the sound player. When playback for preview, VideoPad sync video to audio. So if audio was delayed, the video will delay too. This should have no effect on the final export result. We have XP systems here but could not reproduce your issue. My best bet is to check your sound card driver make sure it's up to date. Best Regards,
  9. Hi Blueshark, As Borate pointed out, change Compressor(codec) might help. We'd like to investigate the issue. Could you please use the tool Broate mentioned (MediaInfo) capture the video encoding settings and post them here? To investigate the problem, we need the information for both playable and non-playable video. Also could you tell us the model of your Sony Blueray DVD player?
  10. We've done some work on preview performance since v4.44. Please try the latest version(4.45). Also please make sure your XP have SP1 or later installed.
  11. Hi, We realized the need for showing the composed result("Background") in Clip Preview, if the clip is in a Sequence. We'll make it available in the next version.
  12. Hi, We have anther similar report and still investigating the problem. It would help us if you can create a Disk Image(.iso) and share it to us(from DropBox, Google Drive etc.). Best regards,
  13. Hi Aresby, Yes, please upload the project if you can. Thanks!
  14. Thanks for the suggestion!
  15. Could you please share the project files on DropBox/Google Drive so we can have a look?
  16. Please check your PM (click the messenger button from the top of this page).
  17. Hi Judymk, It sounds like a hardware compatibility issue. We need to send you a diagnostic build to find out what's wrong. Which platform you are on? Windows or Mac? Could you tell me the version number?
  18. Hi, Yes, I've found apostrophes are missing if you using input methods other then English. For example, ‘ ’ will not appear in VideoPad. Thanks for reporting the bug! I don't get the extra line when I paste though. Could it be the return is included when you do the copy? Try paste the same line to Notepad see if there is a return at the end.
  19. Hi Aresby, Maxvanstraaten, I'm sorry to hear you still having issues with the preview performance. Is it possible to share us one of your projects (including the media files) that has the typical complexity? We'd like to use them as test projects to identify bottle necks. If you can, please upload them to DropBox or Google Drive etc. and PM me the link. Your help would be most appreciated! @Aresby: Is 4.45 worst then 4.44? They suppose to have no difference on preview performance.
  20. This version also adds a link to Steam Greenlight when you liked VideoPad in our rating dialog: https://steamcommuni...chtext=videopad Please help us get VideoPad on Steam if you like it .
  21. This is a follow up release for last week's release. New: Grid lines and snapping for effect keyframe animation editor. Pan & Zoom (Ken Burns) effect. Fixed: Minor issues.
  22. Yes, there are some known issues still in the current preview system. We are still working on it. The best way to avoid "building preview" is lower the preview resolution and frame rate. It can be changed from Options->Display or right click on Clip Preview or Sequence Preview window and select Change Preview Resolution. Best regards,
  23. @Dazzray 4K video does not effect preview performance - VP using preview cache instead of the original clip for preview. If you still getting "Building preview", try lower preview resolution or upgrade the hardware. Also, preview cache only works when the caching is finished. i.e. The green bar is filled up.
  24. To find release notes, please use "find tags" in the search page and search for the tag "release note".
  25. Hi Nat, Thanks for reporting the issue. BTW: I've removed one of the topics since they look like duplicated.
