  1. What format, resolution and encoding did you use in Debut? In Videopad?
  2. "Clear Unused Cache Files" - under OPTIONS|DISK and try again. Won't hurt, might help.
  3. You want the animation to complete, then have the slide stay on the screen as a still image? Take a SNAPSHOT of the last frame, then tack it onto the end of the clip. You can make it last as long as you like.
  4. There's a horizontal slider at the bottom-right of the VP window. Slide it to stretch the timeline, for more precise cutting. At the right of the SPLIT icon click the small arrow to reveal options that split time lines for video or audio independently.
  5. Eyes skipped over your word "audio." I spot no way to accomplish an audio crossfade in VP without using an A/B method. If someone else has, they'll chime in...

    4k Video

  7. Pruning the registry is about the only way to banish context menu entries. There should be an option to write or remove them IMO, and you are not the first to note this annoyance. RUN "regedit" and do an EDIT|FIND for "convert video file." Delete those instances. Back up the registry or create a system image first. Registry edits are effective immediately and mistakes can hose your operating system. Another approach.. http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/ContextEdit.shtml
  8. The method described above would be linear style, to my way of thinking - an A/B roll. VP transition effects can dissolve between clips on a single-track, non-linear style. Click the X in the time line.
  9. Stack and overlap the clips, then to fade from track 1 to track 2 use the TRANSPARENCY video effect applied to track 2 only. To fade back to track one, simply reverse the opacity slope as shown here... <--- as applied to track 2; zero opacity at head and end
  10. There are four dots in the white horizontal space between the video and audio tracks on the time line. Left-click them and drag downwards, and see if that solves the problem. There's also a "collapse" widget at the far left of each track. Click on it, then drag the dots to see what it does.
  11. A vocal can be somewhat removed from a stereo mix, but unless you have a split track - music and voice separate - I don't think what you want can be done without very sophisticated gear - if that.
  12. What VP version? Please upload the logo to a server, such as Google DRIVE, Dropbox, One Drive, etc., and post the link here, so folks can experiment.
  13. Attempted to duplicate what you described, first with a low-res image, then the 1920 X 1080 still shown here... 1080P 29.97 on VP 4.21 Yet couldn't replicate your result.
  14. No Blu Ray burner here, so testing was limited. Using default settings in VP a one-minute standard DVD Movie was burned to DVD/RW disk (to avoid coasters). The BR unit played it. Again using default settings (AVI), a DVD data disk was burned. VP threw an "unknown SCSI error" but the burn did succeed. It played as a video file in the BR machine. Obviously, that short test is not comparable to your lengthy material. However, it does indicate that a standard DVD Movie burn should be playable on BR units. If that fails I suggest investigating other burners. An ISO file contains a DVD (movie, not video) layout that can be repeatedly burned. An ISO of this matieral was uncompressed using 7zip and the video VOB file was added to a VP time line. It played, and could be burned. Its stats...
  15. 4.21 is the current Windows release, as of 11/7/15. http://www.nchsoftwa...ad/vppsetup.exe
  16. When you export, choose DVD Movie. In the "burner" field of the box that appears, choose IMAGE FILE instead of your DVD burner. That creates an ISO file that can be used to burn DVDs. NCH Express Burn should be able to handle it.
  17. Click the CLIP menu, then "add audio from NCH sound effects library." A box pops up with all the files listed in a tree hierarchy. Double-click a file and it plays. Select a file and click DOWNLOAD and it shows up under the Videopad AUDIO tab in the media area. It's possible that the server was down temporarily, but it was working when tested here with 4.21.
  18. The files that I tested from the NCH Sound Library were .wav format, and played fine with the library's preview function. After download they appeared under the Videopad AUDIO tab (media area) and could be added to the time line. Is your PC volume muted or turned down? Can other sounds be heard when added to the same track? If you double-click the file, and a big audio preview window opens, do they play there?
  19. What is the native image resolution? A low-res pic will deteriorate if blown up. VP preview resolution is adjustable. Use the OPTIONS|DISPLAY tab. Preview res is often inferior to the export (produced) resolution. How does the final product look?
  20. ...and if you don't find the folder under C:\Program Files\NCH Software\Components, try instead C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components
  21. Dunno what to tell you. Changing icons via the shortcut, right-click, PROPERTIES route should do the job. It's standard Windows procedure.
  22. Test placing speed-altered clips on a separate track, perhaps slightly overlapping the main track.
  23. Not able to test a production of that length here, but you might consider breaking it up into smaller sequences (click the + sign to the right of the sequence tab above the time line, at the left, to open a new, blank sequence). After you've added effects, combine the sequences into one. A sequence can be dropped into another sequence - just like an audio or video clip. To see them, click the SEQUENCE tab in the media area (top-left). If that doesn't fly, you might export (produce) a sequence, then drop it back as a file into another sequence. FILE|Save AS your project regularly, using incremented file names so as not to overwrite earlier versions.
  24. VP has been installed many times here, and has never messed with icons of any file type that it handles.. If I understand you correctly, you are saying the clicking on these files still opens the desired program, to view or play them? Have you tried reassociating a file with ts viewer or player? Open the Action Center, tap or click ALL SETTINGS|SYSTEM|DEFAULT PROGRAMS. If that fails, right-click on a file (an MKV, for example), and CREATE SHORTCUT. Then right-click the shortcut and click PROPERTIES|CHANGE ICON. The folder shown may not contain the icon you want. Browse to the executable file - MPC-HC.exe, for example - where the icons for that program may be listed. The probable path to MPC-HC is "C:\Program Files (x86)\MPC-HC\mpc-hc.exe" or it may be in "C:\Program Files\MPC-HC\mpc-hc.exe" New icon choices may not take effect until after a reboot or two.
