  1. VP saves snapshots as .png files in the MY PICTURES folder. If you don't see them there, do a search for "snapshot." They can be converted to JPG, for example, by opening the png in a graphics program and saving it as another format.
  2. Amplified it hundreds of times in WavePad and finally spotted the noise at normal vertical scale. Extraneous, but very subtle.
  3. Wouldn't think the WP version would make a difference. A sound is a sound. And two players, at full volume, are silent. Here's what WP version 5.33 displays.
  4. You must have a better eye/ear than I do, for no matter how extreme WP zooms in via the slider at the right-bottom corner there is absolutely nothing to be heard or seen here. It's a flat line.
  5. Very interesting. When your file is loaded into WavePad, it's blank. No sign of any audio whatsoever.
  6. That appears to be correct, Josef. However, if the track is minimized, click the + sign at the far left to enlarge it.
  7. Can't always vouch for my ears, but the two sound identical to me - as downloaded and played here in both WMPlayer and Media Player Classic. ???
  8. NORMALIZING may not do what you want. Normalize detects the highest peak and adjusts the gain of the entire track. But clips are not corrected individually. To quote a WEB source... "To normalize audio is to change its overall volume by a fixed amount to reach a target level. It is different from compression that changes volume over time in varying amounts. It does not affect dynamics like compression, and ideally does not change the sound in any way other than purely changing its volume."
  9. Select both the video and audio track. Right-click on one and "group selected clips."
  10. If you have opened the effects window by clicking on the FX icon at the left-bottom corner of a clip on the timeline, use the green + sign in the effects window to bring up the available choices.
  11. Check this out as well. You might have already run across it.
  12. That view isn't missing, it's "improved." Click the SEQUENCE to see it... Or click the VIEW menu in the toolbar and "show dual previews."
  13. If you want a freeze, take a snapshot of the last frame of your video, then append that still image to the video.
  14. Don't spot a problem with that in the current version... Place the background on track one and the overlay on track two. Click the FX button in at the left-bottom of the overlay clip on the timeline or select the clip on track two and click VIDEO EFFECT in the menu bar. Click the green +. Add a SCALE effect and size it by moving the sliders or grabbing handles in the preview window. Click the green + and add the POSITION effect. Using the same techniques, place it where you want it. Works fine here. No animation, unless you plot keyframes.
  15. Two things... despite the error message, check the DVD to see if it completed. That has happened. And, try burning as an ISO, then burn that file to the DVD. If you have Windows 7, a right-click on the ISO file, then SEND TO: Windows DVD Burner may do the job. Did here in Win 7. In Windows 10 the procedure is somewhat different, as explained in several tutorials available via a search engine.
  16. They sync-lock all record sources to a time standard. A bit of insight here.
  17. Bring each of your previously exported (produced) videos into VP and place all on the sequence in the desired order. At each split point ADD BLANK clip, from the menu bar. The color and length of the blank clip can be altered by using the controls that are under the preview window. To accurately target each split point use the either the right- or left-facing buttons under the sequence window. These buttons have a chevron that points to two vertical lines. ||< and >|| Then burn a DVD Movie disk with or without a menu. The result will be your videos separated by the blank clip. As a test, to avoid "coasters" burn to a rewriteable disc... or write to an ISO file if you have a decompressor utility installed that is associated with ISOs. (Click the downward arrow that's far-right of the "burner" field to see the ISO option.) Then, a double-click on the ISO will reveal the VIDEO.TS folder. Open that folder and there will be a .VOB file that can be clicked to play the production..
  18. Note the presets; one is "spin counter-clockwise." You can also rotate either way, manually, by clicking and dragging the red dot in the preview window's circle. When the dots are moused over the popup reveals what they do and the angle of rotation.
  19. Not as far as how video is handled. But, unless the cameras and the audio device were sync-locked during record you may find that they do not precisely track one another on playback. THAT can be a real hassle.
  20. You can also click on the junction of the throbber (red line) and a specific effects keyframe line - X1, Y1, X2, or Y2 - to create a keyframe at that point. It can be visually confusing when two parameters intersect. A simple ZOOM in winds up looking like this...
  21. As an effect is created, it's applied. To delete, click the X to the right of the effect name.
