  1. You want a "ducker." It may be possible to enable that function via a VST plugin to be used in WAVEpad or MIXpad...then importing the tracks back into VIDEOpad. http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/index.html http://www.nch.com.au/mixpad/index.html http://www.kvraudio.com/product/duckeq-by-heelaudio
  2. If the main sequence requires no further changes, then one of your concerns might be addressed by exporting the sequence at the same size, res, etc. as the original. That would create a clip that can be imported and dealt with as a single entity..
  3. Right-click on a clip in the time line and CHANGE CLIP SPEED. Play it, or manually move the scrubber. Make your calculations or splits, then right-click again and RESET to return to normal speed. You can also slow a clip that's in the Media window (top-left), before it's placed on the time line, using the same right-click|CHANGE SPEED procedure.
  4. In lieu of using stock transitions, you might want to set up an A/B roll with opacity (transparency) keyframes applied to the upper track. As opacity increases from zero to 100% the overlay track is revealed, and vice versa. SAVE the effect for repeated usage.
  5. 4.30 (click) was the latest, last I checked.
  6. Yes, Wavepad is an audio utility. Here's what the HELP file says about de-essing... "We do not have any tools in WavePad specifically for de-essing or de-breathing. We suggest using the Equalizer or the Dynamic Range Compressor. You can access both of them from the Effects tab toolbar. Another option is to get a third-party VST plugin, then use it with WavePad's VST plugin support (only available with Windows)." Look here... http://www.best-free...de-esser-01.php And search for others. Also check in to the Wavepad forum.
  7. Steer yourself over to this forum... http://nch.invisionzone.com/index.php?/forum/6-wavepad/
  8. Under OPTIONS|DISC tab check the "clear cache on exit" box and try again. Won't hurt, may help. Report back.
  9. Upload your screen grab to a server - OneDrive, GoogleDrive, etc. - then link its URL as an image in this interface.
  10. If you once had 4.1 on your machine, the set-up file may still be there. "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad" (your drive letter may be different) Double-click to install.
  11. Look under the FILE menu|RECENT PROJECTS to see if there's a .vpj file that's useful there. Always back up incrementally using SAVE AS, not SAVE - which will overwrite the existing file. The "blue tint" and zoom issue is known and being dealt with.... check recent posts for more info.
  12. Handles (dots) should be displayed automatically in many effect screens, such as this one for SCALE...
  13. For Windows, 4.22 is the latest to date. Under OPTIONS|GENERAL, clear the cache files and see if that helps. How much free space remains on the C:\ drive? Has the drive been defragmented lately (skip this if it's an SSD)? Control Panel|ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS|DEFRAG AND OPTIMIZE.
  14. An image/video can be positioned, rotated, scaled, etc. from within the effects window, simply by dragging its "handles." No need to key frame. Tested several layers of png stills keyed over a video, then effected in multiple ways. No black was seen. Here's how a single layer looked. Are you certain that the png had a transparent background?
  15. Are you burning DATA to the DVD or are you burning it as DVD (VOB) files? Have you tried playback in a different player? Does it play on your PC's optical drive? If using Windows 10, you might test burn as an ISO file. Then right-click and open that file with Windows Explorer. It should appear as a drive letter - a virtual disk. Have you tested a different brand of media? Burning to a CD/RW (re-recordable) will save disks, until you're certain that all is well.
  16. Tested here with a still image ... which did retain the pixelated clip upon export. Version 4.22.
  17. What format? What encoding? They make a difference.
  18. Export capabilities of the non-licensed version do seem to change from time to time, and the distinction between it and the licensed version is somewhat murky. This thread may offer some solace.
  19. To keep a Windows PC from sleeping open Control Panel|POWER OPTIONS and in the Balanced section click on "change plan settings." Set PUT THE COMPUTER TO SLEEP to "never." Change it back when you're done. Video editing is resource intensive. You didn't mention your PC's specs: space open on hard drive, CPU, memory, etc.
  20. Possible help on this page. Note the link at the very bottom.
  21. Video editing is resource intensive. What are your PC's specs ... free space on C: drive, CPU, memory, video card, etc.? What version of Videopad is being used?
