Can't replicate this in 10.17, when stacking two identical PNGs and applying the same positional effects to both. Whether show/hide is enabled makes no difference. Please list the full specs of the PC: NVidia card model, CPU, RAM, free space on C. You tried this version? Repeated tests here with that effect do not crash, so this may be related to your PC. Can you test it on another machine?

If you want the Template button, reinstall Videopad. No need to re-download. This may take repeated tries, but it will eventually appear in place of Videomaker.

Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" (or similar path, with out the x86) and delete all the files in that folder. Minor updates are made frequently. Recent major improvements have included a 64-bit version and more efficient usage of the GPU. Give the latest a test drive. Retain your licensing info.

It's generally best to edit and export with the same (or close to same release date) version of Videopad. Backward compatibility can't be guaranteed; many changes have been made over the years. Update to the latest and report back if preview is still problematic.
