  1. This is a bug, the timeline should automatically scroll to where the cursor is after Shift + G. Thanks for reporting this.

@daorus Thanks for the suggestion. @gaab This option will be removed as it has no effect now. We don't change Deshaker options in 4.11 so it would be what the plugin defaults. Good idea, we'll add it in. Each processing pass (e.g. an effect or transition) will run in a single core. So it might not use up all the cores if your project don't need that many passes. For example, if you chain two effects together, there will be two cores used, one for each effect. The codec using a proprietary format which not supported by VideoPad. I would choose a lossless codec or PCM (uncompressed) for the best quality. We'll upgrade the Deshaker in next release.

  5. Yes, you can drag the text to any position in Clip Preview.
  6. Dragging the clip edge (left or right) in Sequence Timeline is equivalent to setting the in/out put in Clip Preview:
  7. Hi, We reproduced the problem while Options->Export->Other->Enable lossless video exporting turned on. Please try uncheck this option if it was checked. Thank you for providing the project files.
  8. You can also change in/out put directly in the sequence timeline by dragging the edge of the clip. You'll see the mouse cursor changes when the mouse over the clip edge.
  9. Have you got the good quality with 1080p previously with the same project? Could you share the project files (including media files) on DropBox/Google Drive so we can perform some testing?
  10. Hi TNB, It seems that your issues (quality drop and YouTube 1080p uploading) are caused by the bugs we've recently fixed (not released yet). Please wait for a few days for the next release. It should solve both problems. Best Regards,
  11. Yes. We're still working on it. It will not in the next update but should be in the one after.
  12. The stabilizing option dialog will be available in the next version. The dialog will provide options for h.264 output quality as well as for the deshaker.
  13. Hi Mach10, Are you getting Building Preview when cache bar (the green bar on top of the clip) is filled up? The preview play back wound be much smoother when the cache bar is filled up. Sometime you need wait the cache finish to edit smoothly. Longer clips take longer to cache. Could you also check if other application running in the background? Best Regards,
  14. We've aware of this usability issue. We are working on a solution that integrates the effects window in the main window (no popup). That's a good point. I've filed this as a suggestion to the team. Sometimes documentation update delays since the features are in changing. We are working on adding mask/icons on the clip thumbnail to indicates its states, for example: The clip is added to the sequence The clip has effects applied This change will apply to both Media(Bin) clips and Sequence clips. You can easily see if a Media clip has been added to the sequence in the project window.
  15. VideoPad will save all recorded video to your Videos library (C:\Users\user name\Videos) automatically. They are named My Video - ????.mp4, where ???? is a four digit incremental number. e.g. My Video - 0001.mp4 Best Regards,
  16. Have you looked here: http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win/clippreview.html Do you think it make sense?
  17. Update: We've found the bug and fixed it. We can also fix your project file so the missing clips would be back. If you want to do so please share the vpj file on DropBox and PM me.
  18. Hi, We've confirmed there is a bug and reproduced the behaviors. We are now working on fixing it. The problem happens when you import clips from another sequence. To continue your work please add those clips back to the project by using Add File. Thanks for reporting issues and apologize for the inconvenient. We'll fix the issues in the upcoming release.
  19. Confirmed this is a bug. Thanks for the report. Best regards,
  20. VideoPad needs to convert vob to avi to work on efficiently. Change the preview aspect ratio to match the video should remove the checkerboard. Best regards,
  21. Editing on a selection of multiple clips is something we still working on. For the time being please try change Default Still image Duration in Options->Media. This option will change the duration of the images when you add them to the timeline.
  22. Yes, unwanted gaps can happen between speed changed clips and unchanged clips.
  23. First, connect your projector to one of the hdmi output of the video card. Configure Windows extend the desktop and use the projector as a secondary monitor (Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display\Screen Resolution). You can undock Sequence Preview window by click the small icon on it's top-right (looks like two squares with an arrow). Once the window is undocked, you can move it to another monitor (the projector). You can also double click on the Sequence Preview window which bring up the Actual Preview window which allow you to expend to full screen on anther monitor. Please note that Actual Preview is not using cache. It will be slower but you'll get exactly what you get on export.
  24. I've looked at your project again more closely and found the flickering were actually caused by anther problem. Yes, it seems like there is a bug which caused flickering at the end of speed changed clips. We are working on fixing it now. Thank you for reporting the bug.
  25. Hi, I've looked into your project and found many very short clips (just few millisecond) in some gaps. Those clips are shorter then a video frame so they can cause flickering while playback. The tiny clips are probably created by dragging the red cursor around and inserting clips and the cursor position. This issue has been discussed here: http://nch.invisionzone.com/index.php?/topic/21761-shortened-transitions/#entry49997 To avoid this problem please use Go to previous/next clip edges buttons to place red cursor exactly to where the cut is. You can also easily see those tiny clips in storyboard mode.
