  1. Since the problem was not reproducible on other computers, would you mind run a diagnostic build so we can capture the trace log for diagnostic? If yes please PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you a diagnostic build.
  2. Hi, Are other projects have the same problem on the computer or only that project? Are the project's sequence preview OK?
  3. Hi Nat, Thanks for the suggestion. I'll review this feature with other devs and see which is the best way.
  4. It seems like a bug in the old version. We can't fix bugs in old versions. Please try out the latest version (backup your old version installer so you can rollback). If the issue exists in the latest version we can offer you free upgrade while it's fixed. Best regards,

    V4.11

Hi Nat, I'm glad you like the new version. Do you mean the Export Video button? It remembers the last choice from the drop down menu so you can select it with only one click (after the first time). Yes, we can do that. I'll bring it to the other devs they might come up with something even better. The thumbnails were not lose, we've simply removed the placeholder images so you can only see the blue frame when they needed to be updated. It will show up again when they are re-generated. Sorry I'm Not quite understand the issue here, could you please explain a bit more? We didn't change how timeline works. Best regards,
  6. I've tried the file it works fine here. Perhaps your preview resolution is in 4:3. Please try Options->Display->Preview Resolution and select a 16:9 preset.
  7. Hi, This problem has been fixed in the latest release (v4.11).

Added snap shot button for Clip Preview. Added chroma/luminance option for Green Screen effect. Added option to maintian aspect ratio for Zoom effect. Improved Sequence Timeline appearance. One click export to last selected destination. Different destination can be select from the drop down menu. Display duration between In point and Out point on Clip Preview. Playback in clip preivew will stop at out point instead of run over to the end. Allow pasting of images, text, files and wave data from other applications. Fixed: Fixed projects that include multi-line text become corrupted if loaded from older versions. Fixed audio glitch at the end of split clips. Fixed text in right to left language were mirrored.
  9. The video seems has been letter box fitted instead of stretched. Have you checked if the export resolution is in 16:9?
  10. Hi, We are working on providing the options for stabilizing video. This topic has been discussed before: http://nch.invisionzone.com/index.php?/topic/22547-gui-issues-on-410/#entry52441
  11. Hi Nat, Effect dialogs (keyframe editing etc.) in a whole are going to be changed because there are some other usability issues.
  12. We'll add an option to maintain aspect ratio while zooming. Thanks for the suggestion.
  13. Hi, Zoom effect is designed to use the image in the rectangle to fill up your output frame - what ever aspect ratio it is. The output frame is the preview and the exported result. They can be different though e.g. preview in 16:9 and export at 4:3. In your case the preview AR is set to 16:9 therefore the image will be stretched unless you have a 16:9 zoom rectangle. In order not to stretch the image, the zooming rectangle must have the same aspect ratio as the output (preview and export). You can change the preview dimensions in Option->Display dialog. Manually type in width and height so you can have any AR you want. You can also specify width and height when you export. Best regards,
  14. The fix is applied to the next release which is being tested now (will take 1 - 3 weeks). We'll contact you for a free upgrade when it is released. Best regards,

    Export time

The export time is heavily depends on the complexity of the project more than the output video length. For example, if you added a new video clip overlaying existing clips, VP will need to take the time to decode it when export. Decoding and encoding are the main bottleneck. Adding effects on a video clip will also slow down exporting. Some simple things you can check to minimize the export time: If an overlay clip is opaque, make sure nothing behind it. Adjust In/Out point accordingly to remove invisible part of the clips. Check for redundant effects. Remove them if you can. Use less tracks if possible. Best regards,
  16. Hi Nat, Operations from the right click menu form media clips are recently added. They are designed for apply correction (e.g. crop, flip, rotate etc.) to the media clips therefore they will effect all existing and later copies. These operations are not Effects, let's call them Corrections. We didn't make Corrections available for time line clips because we wanted to avoid the confusion with Effects. I think it would be more confusing if Corrections are not applied for later clips. If you want some copies from a media clip have the effect but some are not, you should use Effects instead - they do the same job. Hope that make sense. Best regards,
  17. Nachum, Is this correct? You don't have to do anything if we can fix it.

    4K video

VP does not support 4K at the moment, we are working on it.
  19. In v4.10, you can right click on the clip, select Flip->Horizontal.
  20. Hi Nachum, We’ve identified the bug that caused the text mirroring problem. Unfortunately fixing the bug require some work and we can not get it done on the next release. We’ll try to fix it as soon as we can. We’ll also provide you a free upgrade to the fixed version when it release. Thanks,
  21. Have you tried clear the cache (Options->Disk->Clear Unused Cache Files) before loading and files in 4.05?

    Audio track 2

I've tried and had the same result as Borate's. The only case that insertion (right shift) is performed is the new clip overlapping an existing clip on track2. That's because we can't have two clips overlapped in one track. If your right shifting is caused by a different case, please share screenshots so we can see how it happens.
  23. Hi, Can you try the Windows Version? If it works under Windows I can file a bug to our Mac developers. Best regards,

    Audio track 2

Timeline only be expended (insertion) when the new clip overlap with existing clip. The overlapped section was moved to the right to prevent getting deleted.

    Audio track 2

When you place a new clip (video or audio) on the time line. If the new clip overlap with an existing clip, the clip will be inserted at the cursor by expending the timeline. All the clips on the timeline will move to right since the timeline expanded. Hope that make sense.
