  1. FADE OUT is the same as clicking the "X" on the last clip - it creates a transition whose length can be adjusted. For precision, instead use the TRANSPARENCY effect. In its preset field choose FADE OUT from the drop-down options, then enable the graph by clicking the icon with the squiggly line. Adjust the graph and create keyframes if needed to achieve the desired trajectory.
  2. 1. Complete editing 2. Click the SEQUENCE tab above the bin 3. Right-click on SEQUENCE 1 and "Save Sequence Audio as New File" (The AUDIO tab automatically activates to display the new .wav file, which is in the PC's MUSIC folder.) 4. Double-click that file and apply the AMPLIFY effect 5. Move the scrubber (red preview line) far left 6. Right-click the .wav file and OVERLAY AT CURSOR 7. Click on the words "Audio Track One" that are just left of the track itself and DELETE TRACK or mute that track If you want to get fancy, right-click the .wav file in the bin and OPEN WITH|WAVEPAD.
  3. This is due to your Iphone recording being single-track MONO. When a stereo track is added, the MONO element moves to the left channel. The issue may be corrected in the most recent VP versions. Download here. Or, fix it this way... Right-click your Iphone clips, individually, and SAVE AUDIO CLIP AS NEW FILE. They should be in your PC's Music folder. Load each clip, individually, into Wavepad. If the button at the bottom of the window reads MONO, click it and choose STEREO. Convert the file and FILE|SAVE AS as a .wav type by the same name. Import the file into VP and replace the original with the new file.
  4. No, there was an unwanted frame at 4:50. 7:10 is clean here.
  5. The core program will run, but select features - exports, multiple audio tracks, plugin effects - are restricted after a trial period. Uninstall, then install this file. That may buy you some export options - for a time. If after reinstalling you are still unable to export, try to upload the project as instructed in "Tips for getting help..." near the top of this forum. In consideration for your efforts, someone may come to your aid. Best to license it.
  6. Exported successfully at 1920 x 1080P as an Mp4 after splitting the project into three sequences and combining them into a fourth. This shouldn't be necessary, and the issue is being looked into. Take a look at the Proxy Editing FAQ at the top of this forum. May help on your next project.
  7. You have the main track - track one. Drag your text clip to the track above - track 2 - at the position desired. Or position the scrubber (red line) where you want text to begin, then right-click the clip in the bin and Overlay Sequence at Cursor. The text clip can be shortened or lengthened by dragging its starting or ending border.
  8. Please post a link to a sample "noisy" file. See "Tips for getting help..." near the top of this forum for how that's done.
  9. Add the text clip to the overlay (2nd video) track. Higher tracks take precedence over lower tracks. Check out the FAQ and the tutorial.
  10. Simply drag the video or audio track, whichever is leading, to the right . After initial sync is achieved it may drift off as the project progresses because record sources were not "locked" - so adjustments may have to be made periodically. Sometimes, a minor speed change helps. Locking the audio track may suffice. Then video track work won't affect it. Or select both video and audio by clicking on a timeline clip, then pressing <crtl-A>. Right-click and GROUP SELECTED CLIPS. That done, dragging video will drag audio as well.

For each clip being previewed there's normally a green bar under that window. When previewing SEQUENCES via the sequence tab, however, there may be no bar there. For each sequence a bar appears above the timeline thumbnails.
  12. That's Videopad's target market, in my opinion. You could spend more in one month for a high-ender's subscription than to license a copy of VP. Updates are free for up to six months, as I recollect. Thereafter, the latest version will exact a price, but your licensed copy will continue to fully function.
  13. In the export window click the file format field, click the FILESIZE link. Lots of choices there. In the resolution field, AUTO MATCH is a good choice, generally. Experiment.
  14. Ran five tests with 6.30, with two different video overlay clips, and none had the issue. Same result whether the file was split out or shortened by dragging its end left. However, on first preview, after deleting the end of the overlays, the last scene of the overlay froze. Played again, from the top, the overlay ended at the point it was trimmed.
  15. No automatic way. But what you might do is... Place the clips contiguously on the timeline. Expand the timeline horizontally using the slider at the right-bottom of the window, so you can see the duplication clearly. SPLIT out the unwanted portions; they become new clips. (Switch to Storyboard mode, to display individual clips.) Press the DEL key or right-click those clips and CUT or DELETE|RIPPLE.
  16. Shop carefully for a product suitable to your needs. Are you making theatrical productions? Commercial editors cost big $$$, often on a subscription basis, and the learning curve can be steep.
  17. Unable to pin down the problem; maybe the app doesn't like Readiwip.😉 To work around it, the project was divided into two sequences at 2:30, then those sequences were combined in sequence 3 and exported at 1920 X 1080 - 45fps. In the future, converting files that are higher than HD res to 1920 X 1080 might help to expedite editing. Quality loss should be negligible.
  18. License VP and you won't have to worry about disabled features. 50% off until the end of the month. https://secure.nch.com.au/cgi-bin/register.exe?software=videopad
  19. UNinstall, then install this version and see if some export options are available.
  20. Check this out. You already have the capture device.
  21. Don't quote me, but just from memory, recall that mpg, avi and asf were still active. The avi wrapper offers various encoding choices. The trial period is at least 14 days. Consider taking advantage of a 50% discount if you license before the end of the month.
  22. After the trial period some export and upload, and perhaps effect choices, like plugins, and audio tracks are disabled; can't recall precisely. VP offers many production choices, whereas WMM may not. File size depends upon several factors. Generally, the best quality is achieved when export settings match content. In Videopad's export menus try the "resolution" field's AUTO MATCH. In the "format" field, click the FILE SIZE link to see the quality options.
  23. What didn't work? Didn't come out as mono? Is centering of the voice track what you are attempting to do? Right-click the voice track and SAVE AUDIO AS NEW FILE. Upload that file to a free server, such as Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, etc. Copy (share) the link to the file and paste it here. We'll take a look. In OneDrive, simply right-click the file and CREATE A SHARABLE LINK. Post that link.
  24. All audio - stereo music background and left-channel only voice - seem to be intact. If something is actually missing, perhaps the track is muted or the volume turned down?? One way to get the voice centered would be to right-click on its track and SAVE AUDIO AS NEW FILE. It will show up in the Windows MUSIC folder. Load that file into WavePad. Click the STEREO button at the bottom of the interface and choose MONO (single channel). Save that file and import it back into Videopad, replacing the original audio. Now the audio should be centered.
  25. You have inadvertently trimmed the sequence. The overlaid (dark) portion won't export. Click the chevron at the far left of the bin tabs (bin window, top-left) to reveal the SEQUENCE tab. Click on it. Under the preview window drag the scrubber (the red line) all the way to the right. Click the ] bracket, to set that as the out point. The overlay should vanish.
