  1. Suggestions ... that may or may not be your issue but are worth a try. https://www.nch.com.au/kb/10265.html Close all other programs when exporting. What are the specifications of your PC: CPU, free space on the c:\ drive, graphics, RAM? What version of Videopad is being used? What is the length of your project, source file type/s, export format and resolution?
  2. If you'd like someone to take a look, please share the project. Here's how... 1. Save your project. Then, with it on the timeline, click the FILE menu. SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS to any convenient folder. 2. Open the folder that contains the saved files and ZIP them all. 3. Upload the zip file to DropBox, Google Drive, MS OneDrive or the like. It's free. 4. Make the uploaded file public (share it) and copy the shared link. 5. Paste the link into this forum. And be sure you're running the latest version.
  3. You can reinstall the version that you bought. The installer file will likely be found in this path: "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad" From the NCH FAQ... "Your registration and activation code will work on any fix or new version of the software released within 3 months from the date of purchase. After that you are always entitled to discounted upgrade pricing."
  4. Though it may be unrelated, and your PC is new, check for an updated video driver from the chip or card manufacturer's WEBsite. Verify that the latest version of DirectX is installed. http://tinyurl.com/klegrr2 When exporting, close all other programs/applications. In VP, Clear Unused Cache Files, under OPTIONS|DISK tab. Also, under the EDITING tab, toggle the "Hardware" box to its other state: if checked, UNcheck it. If still no joy, something is definitely amiss. Though it's a bit time/energy consuming for a fifteen minute project, please share it. Someone will check it out...
  5. What version is being used? Try the latest and report back.
  6. Don't believe a sequence in of itself can be "saved." A project can, of course, which rebuilds the seqence. Loaded a VPJ flle, then deleted everything on the timeline. The green check marks vanished, but no bin files did. The SEQUENCE in the bin was a clapperboard. Strikes me that this behavior is correct. The only instance where the audio track is not shown is when a bin sequence is added to a different sequence. But the above described behavior still applies.
  7. Hummm. Two things observed: each sequence must have a unique name or number, and sometimes the EXPORT ALL SEQUENCES option is unavailable. In that case a reload of the program and sequences has enabled it. The process did work well with three small video files, each loaded to their own sequence. No renaming attempt was made in this case. The tab alternative was tested several times. With that method, there's no reloading, as each sequence contains video. Tabs are clicked in turn and exported, using the VIDEO button on the toolbar. Never have run across a case where deleting the entire timeline content deleted files in the bin. Created a sequence 5, then dropped sequence 1 into it. Then deleted the material on the timeline. Sequence 5 remained in the bin as a clapperboard titled "sequence 5." Same result when I dropped sequence 2 into sequence 4. When export-all files are renamed, they still appear as "Untitled (new name)." That's apparently a bug that has been filed.
  8. Create multiple sequences above the timeline by clicking on the + sign in a tab. Edit each one of your lectures under its own sequence tab (or load a saved project that contains multiple lectures/sequences). When ready to export them all as individual files, click the FILE menu|EXPORT ALL SEQUENCES. One, two, three - they are queued and exported en masse. VP will name them "untitled 1, 2, 3" or you can rename each. Or use this alternate method... On the menu bar, click EXPORT Click sequence tab #1 on the timeline Click VIDEO in the toolbar In the "name" field type in "1" or any unique name <enter> Click sequence tab #2 on the timeline Click VIDEO in the toolbar In the name field type in "2" or any unique name <enter> Etc., No need to wait between these steps: exports will be queued and completed in order.
  9. If you'd like someone to check this out, please share the project.
  10. Your stopwatch clip starts at 00. If you place it at 1 min 35 seconds or at any other location on the timeline it will start at 00. See the post above.
  11. Your highlighted clip on track four, which presumably contains text, will be keyed into the video on track one, or completely obscure track one if the text doesn't have a transparent background. Higher-numbered tracks override lower #s. The text clip could just have well been placed on track two. Animation can be applied to a clip of any duration. The scope of the animation in a clip is determined by how the animation is configured. Click the ? at the top-right of the Videopad screen and scroll down to ANIMATING VIDEO EFFECTS item. The links you supplied most recently (for Jimmie) are dead.
  12. Can't spot a problem with the audio, which continues after video ends. It loaded and played fine. There's a video black flash frame at 6:46:029, which can be eliminated by setting the fade with the transparency fade-in effect instead of the clip's "F" symbol. At the very head of the project there's a :01 flash of racing video. View the timeline in storybook mode to remove it easily. The video exported as an mp4 without incident. There were no transitions in your sample. Remember, transitions apply only to video clips that are adjacent to one another on the same track.
  13. A stopwatch clip will start from zero when placed on a higher-numbered (overlay) track, directly above the point in the background video where it is to begin counting. This can be done multiple times. Each time it's overlayed at the desired position the count will restart at zero.
  14. Add files to the bin (library); drag the desired files to the timeline and add effects, transitions, etc. Make as many timeline sequences as you like. EXPORT an active sequence as a VIDEO FILE and give it a name (default is "untitled"). ONLY that active sequence - the one chosen by clicking its tab above the timeline - is exported. As for rearranging, there's no need to "pull out and add back clips." Simply create a new sequence by clicking the + sign on a sequence tab above the timeline. The sequence will be blank. Then in the bin, click the SEQUENCE tab. All sequences are listed. As instructed above, drag sequences to the timeline in the desired order. If necessary they can be rearranged on the timeline as well. Remember, each individual sequence in the bin is a new single clip, containing all the edits/clips/effects/etc. that you edited. It cannot be deconstructed back into the original individual clips. And, as Nat noted, the audio track may not appear in the timeline, but it's there.
  15. Let's take a look. Please share the project.
  16. Above the timeline, click the + on a sequence tab to create a new blank sequence. In the bin (top-left), click the sequence tab. Drag the sequences, in any order, to the new sequence on the timeline. The sequences can be rearranged on the timeline as well.
  17. https://www.nch.com.au/general/refund.html Before you bail out I suggest that you try the method suggested earlier - editing with low-resolution copies. When done, replace those with the originals before exporting. Tested here, that produced a glitch-free preview. Here's the approach... Place the original files in a "high-res" folder, which initially will be ignored. Convert those files and place them in a separate "low-res" folder, to be used for editing. NCH Prism can batch convert video files. When done, right-click on each clip in the media bin - one at a time - and click CHANGE. Find the original file in the hi-res folder and click on it. Export.
  18. ALL the files, not just the VPJ control file, are needed in order to reconstruct your project. Try again...
  19. Let's take a look... Please share the project.
  20. If the issue is still truncation of audio, please upload the project. Track layout looks okay.
  21. Two suggestions... Share the project or a portion thereof, so someone can check it out. Use low-res thumbnails when editing, as described above. When ready to export, replace those with the original video.
  22. Something ain't kosher. Let take a look.

    Text effects

On the text clip, click the FX icon. Then click the large green + at the top-left of the window and choose the SCALE effect. With the red-line cursor at the head of the clip, create a keyframe by clicking the smaller green + sign. Move the line to the place where you want the movement to end. Drag the right-bottom handle in the preview window, or use the sliders, to make the text as small as you like - or vanish. Create another keyframe, if necessary. Keyframes are signified by tiny squares. Preview the result and make adjustments as needed. For more info, click the ? at the top-right of VP's window. In the Effects and Transitions section you will see "Animating Video Effects."
