  1. After clicking the small green + to create the initial keyframe, moving the mask automatically creates those that are farther along the timeline. No need to click the +.
  2. Manipulated the mask shape in both normal and full-screen preview mode here. Never saw jumps - only smooth movement?? v7.0.
  3. With the video on the timeline, click on FX to open effects. Then click the large green + sign at the top-left of that window. There are many choices that will 'enhance' video - experiment. Try the SHARPEN tool.
  4. Odd, Nat. Just tested it again in 7.0 with two sequences and it works just as described in the earlier thread.
  5. Appears to be the case. Using the current VP version, created a BluRay ISO, specifying 25fps, interlaced. No matter what setting is chosen, the result appears to be the same. A bug report has been submitted.
  6. Restart Videopad. If you cannot close it, try this... Press the <ctrl-shift-esc> keys simultaneously to bring up the task manager. Click the PROCESSES tab and then scroll the list at the left, using the scroll bar at the right, until Videopad is seen. Right-click on it and END TASK. Restart VP. Remember to back up your work periodically with an incremental name, so as not to overwrite earlier backups.

    Bad exports?

Try this version and report your results. Retain any install file that you may already own.
  8. My observation, at least on this system, is that exporting is not affected by the "hardware acceleration" setting. A 13-minute project was tested both ways at 1920x1080 mp4. ON or OFF - export timing was identical. Perhaps a NCH developer will weigh in with definitive info on how this has been engineered.
  9. You checked out the Virtual Dub denoise filter? One source ... https://www.freewarefiles.com/VirtualDub-MSU-Denoising-Filter-Noise-Removal_program_18779.html VP allegedly supports these plugins.
  10. Under AUDIO EFFECTS there's a noise removal icon. Is that what you have in mind?
  11. Should be fixed. Please give it a test and report your results. Save any registered/licensed install file from prior versions.
  12. Humm... perhaps a codec (missing on the new box) was downloaded?
  13. Please upload and share the HD test that you referred to. See "Tips for getting help..." for instructions.
  14. Please use this form to send a message: https://www.nch.com.au/support/regcontact.html Or try CHAT support. From an NCH FAQ... "Can I upgrade from a previous version? What is the upgrade policy? All minor upgrades and bug fixes and some major upgrades are available free. Simply install the new file over the old file. If we introduce major new features or change the registration system, we may require users to purchase an upgrade. We guarantee free upgrades for 6 months from date of purchase but in practice we often allow upgrades up to 12 months. If in doubt back up your old version and just try the new version. If you purchased more than 12 months ago, you will need purchase an upgrade to the current version."
  15. As you may have already noted in related thread, the developers have spotted the problem and it should be no more in an upcoming version - shortly.
  16. See if this helps. The export bug that you encountered will be fixed shortly. Older versions are available here.
  17. Upload a source file that you have not edited. Post the IN/OUT times of that file that you dropped onto the timeline with the intent to export. Post several examples if you like. Someone will attempt to duplicate your effort.
  18. Something is decidedly amiss. Upload a source file that you have not edited. Post the IN/OUT times of that file that you dropped onto the timeline with the intent to export. Post several examples if you like. Someone will attempt to duplicate your effort.
  19. Stumped as to what the problem is. Both Nat and I confirm that the project you linked exports normally. If you are not running the latest VP version, consider doing that.
  20. Something peculiar indeed. Are you running the current version? The installer for your version should be in "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad" Retain it for reinstall if necessary. The export is available for download for a short while, via the link above.

    full installer

Versions released beyond six months from your purchase date will require a fee, but there's no obligation to update. Your licensed version will keep working. The stub installer is it - for reinstall - and is found in the "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad" folder. But back it up, along with registration info and project files. To save a project that can be restored from any PC that has Videopad, load the project and then click FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT. Save everything it creates to a back-up drive.
  22. Handled the download in a different way here. Estimated size was 415MB. Download size was 159MB. Exported project weighted in at 157MB. Default mp4 settings. Length of both original file and export was about 13:07. No looping. https://1drv.ms/v/s!AmKCN6jvYsvCkTzB_gNC2pUNAF6B
  23. Don't confuse System Image Backup with similarly named tools in Windows. There are no restore points. This is a total restoration and takes time. It works in both Windows 7 and 10...when it succeeds. Have an external drive plugged in. Access is via Control Panel|FILE HISTORY. Look at the left-bottom corner of the window. On the next page, at the upper-right, click Create a System Image. Again, Microsoft suggests using another vendor's product.
  24. Exported fine using default auto-match 1280x720 settings (YouTube). 14:42.
  25. Bizarre. Share it and someone will take a look. Here's how. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Be sure to make the link public and paste it into a post here. Export outputs ONLY what's on the sequence that's active in the timeline. Confirm that there is no extra footage there.
