  1. Glad all is well. Just tested your project in 7.25 on a slower PC and it exported in about :45. Ours is not to reason why.
  2. Odd. Here it took all of ten seconds to export as an AVI (default settings). Update to the latest Windows release and see if results are better. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  3. Let's take a look. Please share your project so others can analyze it. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and make the files sharable.
  4. There are a number of ways to do what you appear to want. Here's one... Place the first image on track one. Position the scrubber (red line) where the second image is to begin. In the bin, right-click the second image and OVERLAY ON SEQUENCE AT CURSOR Repeat this for subsequent overlay tracks. If you're patient, courteous and specific in describing your attempts someone will help. Good luck to you!
  5. Unable to test an Apple version here, sorry. The issues you raised are being investigated.
  6. Check into the Debut forum - the one is for Videopad. And look here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOY-_pxmeQ0
  7. Right! Forgot about CROSSFADE in effects - which is essentially a transition. For applying it to multiple clips use the toolbar transition icon, as outlined earlier. That said, once APPLY TO SELECTED or ALL is chosen in that manner, thereafter using crossfade in the effects box also applies to selected or all. No crashes on Fade Out here in 7.31.
  8. Unlock the audio tracks. The volume controls are still there, if the project (not the export) is loaded. Either double-click the clip on the sequence, to bring up the audio waveform in the preview window - where gain can be adjusted by dragging the blue line - or click on the speaker icon in each clip. There's no reason that adding audio should adversely affect a project. Use FILE|SAVE PROJECT AS regularly, giving it a unique # or name.
  9. That's a new one. Possible corruption. Worth checking your hard drive. At the elevated (administrative) command prompt type "chkdsk" <enter> and see if it finds errors. To get to that prompt In Windows 10, type "command" into the search bar (bottom-left of screen), then right-click on the result and choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. It should report that no further action is necessary. As for Videopad, UNinstall, using this tool. Take care to delete ONLY Videopad entries. Then reinstall. That should give you a fresh start.
  10. Once you have typed the text, drag the text clip from the bin (top-left) onto the sequence, if it's not already there. Click the FX button at the bottom-left of that clip. This will open the effects window. Choose the POSITION effect. In the preview window, drag the 4-headed arrow. The window and text will move.
  11. The aspect ratio issue appears to be a bug, which is under investigation. Didn't spot artifacts on the PC screen, but your clips have not been viewed on a large screen TV.
  12. Odd. Try zipping the files or downloading them separately. Try MS OneDrive or another server.
  13. Crossfade isn't an effect, it is a transition. Select the clips. Click the transition button on the toolbar. Choose CROSSFADE. Click the box at the bottom of the window and choose APPLY TO SELECTED CLIPS. If there is no transition button on the toolbar, go to OPTIONS|DISPLAY and check the SHOW CUSTOM tab. Then, click on the CUSTOM menu tab followed by the CUSTOMIZE button on the toolbar. Check the TRANSITION box.
  14. There's no issue with adding multiple effects to any number of clips. Specifically, what problem are you encountering?
  15. Yes, test settings other than "default" to see if a lower quality output is acceptable. Instead of exporting the entire project, you might split out a small portion, click <ctrl-C> to copy it, open a new blank sequence, then click <ctrl-V> to paste. Now export THAT sequence at various export settings to assess the end result.
  16. Can't say why the file size is 34GB. Are there numerous effects? On the export configuration screen, to the right of the File Format box, click the Default Quality/Filesize link and try some lower quality settings.
  17. That's still only the VPJ file - none of the source files. Clicking on the FILE menu, then on SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS will include them all. The result will be a folder - similar to this 2019-09-06 00-13-58.
  18. It's certainly possible. 4.30 is very old. Try the latest. If you paid and registered your version, retain the installer. It's usually found in "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad" For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  19. It's the case. If you load the same executable numerous times you may spot subtle differences in the program.
  20. Can't definitely say. The same installer file may actually load several different builds, with slightly different characteristics. Try the version linked above.
  21. Apparently, the trial period has elapsed on that PC, which restricts some features. Best to purchase. However, you might do an install of the latest 'lite' version. http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/vpsetup.exe
  22. Your link leads only to the vpj control file. File|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS. This will pack all the files + the vpj so others can run the project just as you see it.
  23. Is the aspect ratio of the original recording 16 x 9? Under the ADVANCED DVD Movie configuration box, the bitrate can be manually cranked up. In the Menu option, try BASIC (list). When clicked, that may play. We need to test the project, if it isn't enormous. Please share it. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. 24. Ignoring estimated size, a 25MB Mp4 video exported with v7.31 at 1280 x 720 Mp4 H264 (AVC). Unable to make it fail here... Default: 8.09; Medium 5.37; Very Low, 2.12.
