  1. Usually there is an 'upgrade' prompt if a feature is not available in the non-licensed version, but it's conceivable that this is the cause. It works here with 7.39. As Nat says, what version is being used?
  2. Using the latest non-licensed version, 7.39, WAVES look good here. Find them in the effects editor under the Artistic category.
  3. In the bin, switch to LIST view. Then click individual columns to sort by criteria. Or rename sequences with a right-click.
  4. With recent versions, the default save location is your c:\users\<your profile name>\video. (The path has backslashes) If you click on that path in the export box and change to another path and then export, that project should retain the path setting when it is reloaded. You can save to any folder of your choice and the exported file will appear in that folder. You can set the default export folder under OPTIONS|EXPORT.
  5. No one denies what you are seeing, which is likely due to the VHS--->DVD transfer. But to see it here a source VOB is needed. The encoding may change if you simply split out a portion and delete the rest, exporting it as a VOB, so that would defeat the purpose,, though you could certainly try that. to see if the segment remaining exhibits the issue.. Upload an entire file in a private message (PM) to me, please - regardless of its size.
  6. Be sure that you followed through on the video driver and Direct-X update recommendations in the above linked FAQ.
  7. Still not working after the REVO cleansing? That hints at a local problem ... as other users succeed. See this FAQ. You certainly can install 7.10 or any recent version...and register it if the release fell within the upgrade grace period. How many files need to be stabilized? If but a few, upload them.
  8. No, any uninstaller should take care of that. Let's try something else, before going the REVO uninstaller route...... Go to Windows Control Panel|PROGRAMS AND FEATURES and right-click the Videopad item. Uninstall it. Now reinstall. If still no satisfaction, try REVO. It runs the Windows uninstaller first. Then it presents further registry 'clean-up' options. Scan those entries first just to ensure that no non-VP entries are listed, then select ALL and DELETE. There may be several steps before this is completed.
  9. After further sleuthing, found that the deshaker wasn't the correct file. Nice stabilization on the critter, using VP 7.39 Seems that something is corrupt in your installation. Try the freeware tool here to delete most traces of VP. After the initial uninstaller completes, select all the registry leftovers and delete those as well, taking care that only Videopad files are being removed. Then install the latest Videopad version. Report results here please.
  10. Nat's right. The VOB from the disk would be the definitive test of why this is occurring. Exporting, as mentioned above, would show only the result.
  11. Exported the project using default settings in the Windows version. There are various aspect ratios, but all appear to be correctly proportioned and look fine. Video ends at 20:45, followed by a blue blank frame, then no video file...so that displays black while music trails. The latest VP Mac version is reportedly 7.33. Test that. If results are not correct, file a bug report with specifics. Click the chevron at the top-right of the VP window.
  12. If you place the VOB on the sequence, split out a small portion and delete the rest, then export, does that illustrate the issue? If so, upload that result.
  13. Please upload the video file that you want to stabilize.
  14. Definitely a Holiday For Strings! Wasn't Max on Dancing With the Stars? 🤣
  15. You have changed focus to the sequence. To get the preview window box back, click the blue CENSOR bar that's above the sliders in the effects window. Or just use the sliders to position the effect.
  16. Split out your clip, isolating the portion to be censored. In essence that will create a new clip within a clip to which the effect can be applied.
  17. What you see in preview should be pretty much what you get - if MATCH MONITOR mode is chosen. But even if MATCH CONTENT is the choice, the image should not move vertically when exported. If there's a difference between VP preview and the exported file, it could be a monitor issue. Have you tested another monitor? As to effect placement: Effects can be animated. Keyframes (represented by dots) can be set for IN/OUT times ... and to track a moving image, if necessary. As the subject changes position, drag the effects window scrubber (red line) to the new position. A new keyframe should be automatically set. If not, click the green + sign. Here is an in-depth look at how to animate. Share your project and someone will check it out. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it.
  18. That isn't happening here. Dropped a song to the audio track, then began adding still images, one-by-one, to the video track just above and the audio wasn't affected. This with the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Click the lock icon to the left of the audio track, to lock it. If there is no icon, right-click in that area and LOCK TRACK.
  19. Tested successfully on several clips here. To continue the diagnosis, try this... 1. Clear Unused Cache Files, under OPTIONS|DISK tab. If no joy... 2. Delete this folder on your PC: "C:\Users\<your account>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" Then reinstall. If both these measures fail, please upload the file in question to a free server, such as MS OneDrive or Google Drive. Share the file, then post the shared link here. Someone will test it.
  20. If you purchased less than six-months ago the registration code should be valid. But retain your 7.10 installer in case you want to restore it and re-register if need be. Usually, the installer is automatically saved to this path on the PC... "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad" And VP can be used without registering, but some features may be disabled. You can also test other versions that have been released within your six-month period. They are here, listed with their release dates
  21. Try the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Report back.
  22. As Nat suggests, this is likely a function of the player, not Videopad. For example, using MPC-HC here, setting the playback option to ZERO times loads the clip but does not auto-play.
  23. The developers are aware of this thread. But as we have been unable to replicate your findings, it will be tough for them to spot the problem without your files/project to analyze.
  24. X is the horizontal axis, Y is vertical. When the A/R (aspect ratio) box is checked, the (ratio) sliders are locked together. Compose a text overlay with an X in the center. With Scale settings at the default, move the X (ratio) slider and note that the X overlay changes size but not screen position. It remains centered. Now set the Base X slider to -60. This creates a new base point designated by the black dot. The X is no longer centered. As the X (ratio) slider is moved the image moves towards and away from the repositioned base point. Reset the Base X to 0.00 and set the Offset X slider to -60. As the X (ratio) slider is moved the X will be offset from the base point. Play around and it will start to make sense. Complex moves can be created.
  25. Add Objects > Add Overlay Image is one route. Or position the scrubber (red line) where you want the overlay to be and right-click the image in the bin. Choose OVERLAY ON SEQUENCE AT CURSOR. OR simply drag the image to track 2. Depending upon the size of the track 2 image, it may be all that can be seen. Higher tracks take precedence over lower tracks. Click the fx button in that track 2 clip and use POSITION, SCALE or other effects to place and size it where you want it. The background image on track 1 will be seen behind the overlay. You can even animate the overlay image, to track the background scene. See http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win/effects_animating.html Untitled.mp4
