  1. In the export window click the PRESET field and choose Widescreen TV. That should give a better presentation. Looks good here.

    Pan Only

In the sequence, click the fx button on the clip to open the effects window. Click the large green + sign and choose the MOTION effect. With the scrubber (the red line in the effect window) at the far left, set the SCALE slider to the desired size. Click on the image in the preview window and drag it to the start position. Click the small green + sign on the effects toolbar to set a keyframe. Move the effects window scrubber to the far right. Then drag the preview image window to the end position. 3. 4GB ram is marginal for video editing, which is resource intensive. Please upload the :60 project and share it. Someone will check it out. It takes but a few minutes. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it.
  4. Not seen here, using the same operating system. What are the specs of your system: GPU, CPU, RAM, free space on the C:\ drive? Save your project. Then Clear Unused Cache Files, under OPTIONS|DISK tab. Reload the current project. You can revert to the earlier version if necessary. The installer is normally found in this path... "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad" And you might test this version.
  5. VP has Hardware Acceleration support, and there is promise for further improvement. Look under OPTIONS|EDITING for the on/off toggle. What format and resolution files and what VP version are being used?

Along the same lines, to have a dot (or any png image) track along a route... Create the png or download it from the WEB. Load it and your map or video into VP, with the map on track one and image on track two. Drag the right border of the image track to make it the same length as the track one. Click the fx button on the image track. The effects window opens. (Under the preview window, click the chevron to the right of the VIEW icon and choose Clip & Background.) Click the large green + sign at the left of the toolbar and choose the MOTION effect. Use the SCALE field to size the image (in this case, a red dot) as desired. With the scrubber (the red line in the effects window) positioned at the far left, drag the dot in the preview screen to the start of your route. Click the small green + sign on the toolbar to set the first keyframe. Move the scrubber to the right by a grid square or so (no need to be precise), then drag the dot to the desired next position. This sets keyframe two. Repeat this action along the path you want to take until you reach the end point. (If the dot won't drag to where you want it, use the Horiz/Vert/Base sliders.) The closer the keyframes are to one another, the faster the action is between them. You may need only a few keyframes, depending upon the route and its length. If you make a mistake, press <ctrl-Z> to backtrack step-by-step. The result will resemble this... tracking.mp4
  7. Odd indeed. Some things were never meant to be know. Make that bug report and include your system's specs and a pointer to this thread.
  8. There are other measures to be tried but they will take patience. Folks here will do their best to help. Worst case scenario, if you've purchased recently, is a refund. Despite their large volume, if there is a possibility that all the source files can be zipped and uploaded to a server, then this may prove helpful. Also needed would be the vpj file that is created when the project is saved in Videopad. It likely is in the same folder as the source files. What is the general resolution, size and format of those files? What is the length of the project? Let us know.
  9. Your image pretty much confirms what Nat has said, and is seen here from time to time as well. Don't think it's of crucial concern.
  10. Exceedingly strange, as it works for others - using various later versions. Tested several here, and have never seen this. Glad you sorted it out. Report your results via the bug form.
  11. Perhaps revert to your old, working version? At a loss to pin down the issue, as it cannot be replicated here and has not been previously reported AFAIK. Hints at something unique to your system. Stay tuned, perhaps someone else will have a clue. Do report this to NCH, with reference to the thread. There's also a refund policy, should it sadly come to that.
  12. Haven't a clue. No one else has reported this. Did any audio file load load after the update? Try this beta version. Older versions are available here, should you want to revert. But your license key likely won't be good for those. File a bug report by clicking the chevron at the top-right of the VP window. Reference this thread.
  13. Nat's result has been replicated here, using 7.51; there appears to be nothing missing. But there was a glitch at the 2:45 dissolve which appears to be a bug that will be fixed. If a VP-to-YouTube direct upload fails try an Mp4 or AVI video export and use their uploader.
  14. Share the file (privately, if necessary) and we'll see if your result is replicated.
  15. Despite an incomplete green line, the program may still function normally. Considerable caching improvements were made in later versions.
  16. You can share the clip privately by clicking the chevron at the top-right of this forum and bringing up my name. Test the current program and see if it handles things differently. Retain your old registration and installer, which is normally archived in "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad"
  17. Right-click the clip and CHANGE SPEED, just to confirm that it hasn't been speeded up. Upload and share the errant clip if possible. Someone will check it out. Dropbox, Google Drive, MS OneDrive are all free. Be sure to make the link public and post it here. For licensed Videopad users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Whether licensed or not, you can test the latest.

    Delay issues

Corresponding loads here... While playing a video (no effects or transitions) the numbers rise to 22% and 300Mb, with a GPU of 28%. This does hint at a local system issue. If you haven't done so already, try toggling the Hardware Acceleration item in OPTIONS|EDITING. At the elevated command prompt, run chkdsk /f. You might also run a memory test. http://tinyurl.com/v9wjw3o And test this version. Again, if possible, please upload and share a portion of a project here as well as to NCH that demonstrates the hang.

    glitching

An odd one. Looked reasonably clean at the beginning when first uploaded, but worse later. Using other effects or lowering saturation may be the workaround. The balance of the video looks good.

    You screwed me

The version # is displayed when VP starts and via the 'hamburger' menu withHELP|ABOUT. The WEBsite always offers the latest. Old versions can be found here. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  21. That should have been a folder, which housed several files. An odd one. Do an uninstall, including the advanced registry entries, using this free tool. Then reinstall.
  22. Works fine here in 7.51. Close Videopad. Delete the Components folder, which should be in one of these paths, then reinstall. C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components\aacenc3\aacenc3.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components\aacenc3\aacenc3.exe
  23. Dumbfounded here as well. Downloaded a WAV from Videopad stock files and it appeared in the bin instantly. When dragged to the sequence (audio track 1) the waveform popped up and it could be played.
  24. Upload a file or two and someone will check them out. Use a free server, Google Drive, MS OneDrive or the like. Make the file public (share it) and post the link to it here.
