  1. What version of VP is being used? Test other export aspect ratios. Also try the CROP choice, instead of LETTERBOX, in the export settings box. You need not share with the public. Any project sent to me via personal messenger is private and will be discarded as soon as the issue is resolved. Just click the folder at the top-right of this forum and direct the file to "borate." The usual chromakey (green screen) procedure is to first place a background image. Then overlay (higher track) the high-contrast image to be keyed. Size and position it as desired. Open the green screen effect and adjust settings. The green (or whatever color was chosen to be keyed out) will vanish and the background will be seen in its place. http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win/tasks_chromakey.html
  2. Try other export aspect ratio options, instead of the suggested auto match content. Upload and share the project.
  3. What is the resolution of the source files? What are the export settings? What version of VP is being used? Share the project and someone will check it out. This is quick, easy and can be private. Just follow these steps... 1. With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 2. Locate the saved, numbered folder. No need to upload the export or VPJ files. Upload it to a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* 3. Get a shared, public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. Click the blue "Change to anyone with the link..." Then click COPY LINK | DONE. 4. Paste that link here, or click the folder, above top-right in this forum, and message it to me. This is private and won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  4. OPTIONS menu | DISK tab. Clear Unused Cache Files. Or delete the files in this PC folder. "C:\Users\<your PC name>\AppData\Local\Temp\VideoPadCache"
  5. Let's see that specific file. Sharing is easy: just upload it to a free server, get a shareable (public) link and post that link here, or in a private message (click the folder at the top-right of this forum). If you upload to Google Drive, be sure to click the "restricted" link and change that to "anyone can view." Someone here will check it out.
  6. Install this version. Ignore any virus warnings. Lock all tracks except the audio and video for the one you want to change. To widen a gap, select the first clip to the right of the gap, hold down <shift> and select the last clip in the sequence on that track. When those clips are dragged to the right they will all move in concert. If the clips snap back when dragged, hold down the <alt> key while dragging. To insert new clips, drag them to the track or right-click | PLACE CLIP AT CURSOR POSITION or PLACE ON SEQUENCE. After the new content is inserted, CLOSE GAP.
  7. Just wait until the 64-bit version is released.😊 No target date. Make your wishes known by clicking the chevron at the top-right of the VP window - the suggestions/bugs link. As for new functions and changes: this is about it.
  8. Now that the issue has been spotted, it will be fixed. There's no need to update if the version you have is doing the job. The program will continue to function indefinitely. However, as mentioned, you can update for free within six-months of purchase without additional cost. You can also check out the latest for free anytime; there may be new features or fixes (or bugs😉). Just retain your old installer file. It's usually saved in "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad" or a similar path without the x86.
  9. Any update within six months of purchase doesn't require payment, so although this is a slightly older version if you recently purchased you should be good. You may not even need to input your registration code. If problems arise, use the link above to contact NCH. Here's an even more recent stable version that also should do the job.
  10. Install this version and see if results are better.
  11. If you create a VP back-up folder as instructed above, it will contain copies of all source files and the VPJ control file, and look something like this... Upload that single folder to the server, get a shareable (public) link and post it here, or privately to me via the mail folder at the top-right of this forum. If using Google Drive be sure to change "restricted" to "anyone can view." It's not necessary to upload any exports that may have been made. As for your license, you should be able to re-register easily. Click the Menu at the top-left, then scroll to the bottom and click the Register item. You do not have to pay again. If you don't have your license code, visit here and they will take care of you... https://tinyurl.com/yc962a9g
  12. Has the audio track inadvertently been muted? If that's the case, no PLAY audio will be heard, but clicking individual clips in the bin (top-left) will play.
  13. Specifically, what function has been removed in the Mac version?
  14. If you saved the project, you're protected. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. Then you can restore a project to the state it was in when saved. UNinstall VP via Control Panel | PROGRAMS AND FEATURES. Then go to this folder on your PC and delete all the files that it contains... "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" --- or a similar path without the (x86) Reinstall VP. If things are the same, folks here will be glad to help you. Just share your project. It's easy to do and can be private. Follow these steps... 1. With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 2. Locate the saved, numbered folder - not the export file or only the VPJ. Upload it to a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* 3. Get a shared, public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. Click the blue "Change to anyone with the link..." Then click COPY LINK | DONE. 4. CPU vs GPU

GPU applies mainly to effects. Can't say if it's utilized for caching, but someone else may chip in. I7(8th) GeForce 1060, 32GB Ram, 1TB SSD
  18. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. Then you can restore a project to the state it was in when saved. Just double-click the VPJ file (which isn't playable). Close Videopad, then restart it. Use the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Before you reload the project, under OPTIONS | DISK tab Clear Unused Cache Files. It's a good idea to do this each time a new project is begun. Track 1 - the background video Track 2 - the scaled and positioned insert video Is this how you have laid it out? If so, and it still doesn't work, upload and share the project. It's easy, quick and can be private. Just follow these steps and someone will check out the issue... 1. With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. 19. Tough to diagnose without seeing things as you do. Take a few minutes to share the project and someone here will look into the issues. They are usually easily solved. Your upload can be private if desired. Just follow these four steps... 4. 20. But the scrollbar in the bin window here reverts to the top row. Does it there?
  21. The only an effect can be saved as a reversed zoom is to create it as such. Inversely copying the keyframe numbers (to the right of the sliders) and saving to a new template will accomplish that but, no, it's not necessarily "easy."
  22. Once you have programmed the zoom in and saved. If applied to a reversed clip, the effect will reverse.
  23. This might prove more helpful. Click the 3-lined icon at the top-right for a Find In Page search feature.
  24. Did you try it? Reversing the copy will pick up the end of the original clip seamlessly and go the other direction. No numbers need be entered.
  25. Humm... that's a mystery. Ten video files and one audio file load to the bin, but there is nothing on the timeline but for a bookmark or two, as if no edits have been made. However, files can be added and edited from the content you supplied. Try the uninstaller listed above. Upload the missing files and link them here, if possible. Install this VP version.
