  1. Make your video public so folks can access it.
  2. Perhaps you're working in Storybook mode, where that prompt doesn't appear. In any case, drag overlay files to the space just above the main video track. Or, in Timeline mode, click the chevron to the right of the small green arrow above the media area and "overlay on sequence at cursor."

    Trim timeline

Isolate the clip per Nat's suggestions. Select it and press <ctrl-C> or right-click|COPY. Open a new sequence by click on the + sign. Place the mouse cursor in the timeline area and click <ctrl-V> or right-click|PASTE. Export that sequence.
  4. In VP right-click on the audio clip and SAVE CLIP AS NEW AUDIO FILE. That WAV file will be saved to the folder used for downloads.
  5. Related info of possible interest.
  6. Two. Convert the files to another format prior to loading them into VP. And, if possible, upload a short .mov file to a server (Dropbox, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, etc.) and link it here. Someone will test it for you.
  7. Not seeing this on the splash screen Nat. Where would it be?
  8. A search for .vpj files should unearth them. Mine are saved in this path... "C:\Users\myname\Documents\VideoPad Projects"
  9. VP doesn't do SAP as I recall. You might capture the secondary language with Wavepad, as it plays in MPC. SAVE, then drop the resultant file onto an open VP audio track. Proceed from there as Nat suggested.
  10. For a little bathroom reading material, you might be interested in this.
  11. Indeed. Right-click in the timeline at the split. You will see that choice near the top of the menu that pops up.
  12. Under OPTIONS|GENERAL tab press the Clear Unused Cache Files button, just in case there's corruption. May cause your project to load more slowly the next time, but that should not hinder you. If no luck, try the latest version of VP, if you're not already running it.
  13. Never saw errors during export of several files. Played the DVD movie that had been exported at a 2520 bit rate on a 55" 1080P full screen. May not have been the very highest def, but it was pleasing. Slight artifacts in the tough to render sky and water scenes. Upload a test file of your original material on a server if possible - such as Dropbox, MS OneDrive, GoogleDRIVE, etc. - and link a public URL here. Someone may check it out.
  14. What type of recording - DATA file or DVD movie? If the former, click the DETECT button, to best match output to input settings. If the latter, try manually choosing different bitrates. Several MP4 recordings were made here. All were acceptable, if not quite the quality of the original when viewed on a 24" PC monitor.
  15. Perhaps not. Test the latest and report your results here. Your install file for 4.40 should be on the PC, in case you want to revert.
  16. What VP version are you using? Here is the latest.
  17. Specifically, what tools are they and from where were they purchased? If they are Android apps you won't be able to use them on your PC, but there may be a Windows or Mac version. Check with the supplier for your options.
  18. Tried moving the volume slider? It's to the left of each audio track?
  19. To eliminate the black bars try enlarging the video, using the effects SCALE tool. CROP may also prove useful. A portion of the 720 aspect may be sacrificed. When exporting, first click the DETECT button, which may improve quality. Nat (Nationalsolo) may drop in here with practical solutions that he has implemented.
  20. Unable to duplicate your results here. When you drop the audio file onto the audio track, does the existing video move ... or does it completely vanish? Click on OPTIONS|DISC tab and Clear Unused Cache Files, to rule out corruption there. Thereafter, it may initially take a bit longer to load your project.
  21. Check this long running thread. And a few tips from a VP tech's post... The export time is heavily depends on the complexity of the project more than the output video length. For example, if you added a new video clip overlaying existing clips, VP will need to take the time to decode it when export. Decoding and encoding are the main bottleneck. Adding effects on a video clip will also slow down exporting. Some simple things you can check to minimize the export time: If an overlay clip is opaque, make sure nothing behind it. Adjust In/Out point accordingly to remove invisible part of the clips. Check for redundant effects. Remove them if you can. Use less tracks if possible.
  22. Though it was for a different problem, you might employ the suggestion mentioned in this thread. Also click the OPTIONS icon. Under the DISC tab, press the Clear Unused Cache files button, then try your edits once again.
