  1. Yes, your links are there. But that's the completed project. What's needed is a portable project - all the source files and the vpj control file used to complete it. Here's how to accomplish a SAVE TO PORTABLE PROJECT: http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  2. About the only way to pin this down, Julie, is to upload and share the project files as instructed above. It's not likely a codec or parameter. A new version will be released shortly but it will have some incompatibilities with the old, owing to programming changes. Use that version for your next project, if possible. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the latest.
  3. It's best to use the latest, from the Videopad WEB page. https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/index.html But those older versions are not infected; they have been downloaded without incident many times.
  4. Please download and install the latest from the link above or from the Videopad WEB page. Load the saved project, and export. Let us know the result.
  5. If the cache is corrupt, Clearing Unused Cache Files can occasionally eliminate problems. Upload and share a project that isn't working for you and others will test it. Here's how to do that as well as how to upload a screenshot... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ You should be able to export to mp4 with this 'lite' version, which has some limitations. Prompts to purchase, for the best experience, will appear from time to time.
  6. Click the FX icon, left-bottom of one of the text overlay clips and click on the SCALE effect. Scale the text to the desired size. Click the fourth button from the left on the toolbar whose pop up reads "Save as Effect Chain Template" and give it a name. On the timeline, select (highlight) all the text clips to be changed. On the toolbar click EFFECTS|VIDEO EFFECTS, then scroll down to the Templates section and click the template you just saved. A prompt should appear to apply to ALL or to ONE. Choose ALL and the template will be applied to every selected text clip.
  7. Consider exporting at 1280 x 720p HD. Still good quality.
  8. Create a project using the latest VP version. Then share it here and someone will take a look. Here's how...http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the latest.

For a licensed user upgrades are free for up to six months. Your purchase will always function but a fee will be required in order to register the latest. Always retain the installer file, though it is automatically backed up on the PC. This.version is free and doesn't expire. But after a trial period it will have some limitations. When and if it prompts that the trial has expired, there may be an option to continue with the 'lite' version. If not, begin an uninstall via Control Panel|PROGRAMS AND FEATURES and that that option should appear. For the best experience, purchase Videopad and visit this forum often. https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/support.html

  11. Another approach to constructing a project using proxies... Convert large video files to smaller ones with identical names but in separate folders, as Nat has suggested. Input your files to the timeline, loading the low-res videos but the original-res versions of snapshots, still images, etc. Make all edits and add transitions and effects. Save your project with a unique name, so as not to overwrite earlier saves. Now rename the folder that contains the low-res conversions. Reload the saved project. Since it won't be able to find the converted files it will prompt to resolve them. One-by-one, point VP to the original high-res files until all are loaded. Export the project.
  12. Let's take a look at your project. Here's how to upload and share it... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  13. Be aware that the beta version you download today may be supplanted by another tomorrow. These are test builds. File size estimates are clearly not tracking, and the issue has been reported. As above, a 1920 x 1080 , 29.97 MPEG4 export of your clip yields a 10.6MB file and looks fine.
  14. If listening on a small speaker you may not note the low-frequency audio issue with the first segment. And the video transition errors, such as those in and out of the break at about 12:26 are subtle. Please do upload the project files. Someone will check it out, and perhaps repair it. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ When exporting, it's best to use the VP version that created the project.
  15. Glad it worked out. It's wise to export using the version that created the project, or one close to it. Backwards compatibility is not always possible due to programming changes.
  16. In a VP version 7.20 beta test, if the original 16.16 file, 59.95fps, is exported with the 'auto-match' defaults the result is a 16.13 file at 60.17fps. If the YouTube preset is chosen, the frame rate defaults to 29.97. After turning "lossless off" (re-encode) in the Default Quality link the result is a 14.9MB file at 30.03 using variable max or 14.9MB at 29.97 if the NTSC setting is specified. That is virtually the same as your 29.97ntscfps file link above. If the MPEG4 compressor is chosen, the file size shrinks to 10.5MB. Seems reasonable. For a short while, here is the H264 result for viewing and download.
  17. There are transition errors and audio in the first section sounds as if it has been poorly compressed, or there is intrusive background noise. What VP version was used? The best way to suss this out is to share the project, so others can troubleshoot. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  18. Upload a 60fps source file and share the link to it here. Someone will check it out. Did you test exporting a VIDEO FILE at the desired rate, then using YouTube's uploader, instead of a direct upload from VP?
  19. Save your project. If you are not using the latest 7.11 release, download it here. Install, then reload your project. What is the format of the source video clips? If you are a registered user, remember that upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, your purchase will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the latest. Always retain the installer file, though it's automatically backed up on the PC. If the issue isn't resolved, please share your project. Someone will check it out. Here's how...http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  20. Link your video here so others can check it out. Did you upload directly from VP ... or did you create a video file to YouTube specs and then use their uploader?
  21. Older versions at the above link do not have to be unzipped. But even if they did, free zip utilities are widely available. Windows has one natively: simply right-click a zip file and EXTRACT ALL. You are a registered user, so upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, your purchase will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the latest. Contrary to your experience, no slowdown has been noted here. Speed and efficiency are regularly improved. Share your 'slow' project and folks will check it out. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  22. File a bug or feature suggestion for the deinterlace issue. Click the chevron at the right-top of the UI. How was the 265 codec installed; it's not in the drop-down menu list?
  23. The auto-load of the first clip seemed banished - briefly. It's back, in 7.12. Switching A/R repeatedly between 16:9 , MATCH CONTENT and MATCH DISPLAY does not alter image size here - no black borders.
  24. Wise to edit/export with the same version. Technology changes constantly, as you know, and unfortunately backward compatibility isn't always assured. If you are a registered user, upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, your purchase will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the latest. Retain the licensed installer file, though it should be automatically backed up on the PC.
  25. It's unclear why borders appeared?? Here, switching back and forth between DISPLAY and CONTENT retains the full-screen 1080 image. The right-click|WIDESCREEN A/R FIT menu in the preview window is set to letterbox.
