  1. Be aware that projects made with earlier versions may not play well with 7.12 and beyond. Improvements will result in some incompatibility. It's best to export a project from the same version that created it.
  2. What version of Videopad? Clear Unused Cache Files, under OPTIONS|DISK. Be sure that the hard drive has ample free space. Try an install of the latest release. If you are a registered user, remember that upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, your purchase will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the latest. Always retain the installer file, though it's automatically backed up on the PC. If it still fails, try a clean uninstall, using this tool. Then reinstall Videopad. Report results here.
  3. What version of Videopad? The best way for others to sleuth your results is to share the project. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  4. Please upload and share the original (not the VP-processed) file. Someone will check it out.
  5. What Videopad version? Tried mp4? Project is lengthy, but if possible please upload it per the instructions here... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Someone will check it out for you.

  8. Cannot say how VP utilizes RAM. But in general, more is better. Read this... https://www.cgdirector.com/ram-video-editing/
  9. An export setting that closely matches the source material is usually best. Share a project and folks will check it out... Here's how...http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  10. Your project should export as an mp4 as well, and not take two hours. Put it up for review and someone will check it out. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  11. Depending upon the intent, it can be wise to use multiple video tracks. But only the main track will be visible in Storyboard mode. Be aware that higher numbered tracks overlay lower number tracks. If there is an image on track one and another of the same size on track two, only track two will be seen. Make the track two image smaller - with SCALE, for example - and track one will display in areas not covered by track two. This is picture-in-picture. When the project is exported, all tracks in the sequence will be combined.
  12. Using version 7.11, your project would not run on a low-end PC. That's a huge 5184 x 3456 file. It did perform on a high-end machine using the 'auto-match' setting. That exported at VP's maximum resolution of 4093 x 2304, which converted the 4:3 image to 16:9. Suggest that you half the resolution of these files. The low-end machine handled 2592 x 1728 well. That resolution retains the 4:3 aspect ratio. To have the project load the smaller file, rename the original and then load the project. When VP can't find the file and asks to resolve, point it to the new file. Then SAVE PROJECT, which will overwrite the vpj control file. Or SAVE AS, with a unique new name or #.
  13. The project file - a VPJ - is not playable. It tells the program what to do. If you've loaded the project to the timeline, it can be saved as as PORTABLE project via the File menu, per the "Tips" link above, which will contain all project files. Upload the result to a server, share it, and post the shared link here. The project file that you linked contained only the vpj file. Img 3534.jpg is required as well. As a test, using your vpj, another still was substituted for the missing file and exported with 7.11. Worked fine.
  14. Tested two Videopad exports, the first as losslesss and the other reencoded... Downloaded your original (first), played it in the MPC-HC viewer and grabbed a still. 1920 x 1080. Imported the original into VP and exported it as an avi with default encodings. 1920 x 1080, 60 fps. Played the result in the viewer and grabbed the same still frame. 1920 x 1080. Compared all. In each case, to my eyes, there was no discernible difference in hue, saturation or black level between the originals and the VP exports.
  15. http://www.oldversiondownload.com/ Alternatively, the older version installer file should have been saved to "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\VideoPad" - copy it and paste to the new PC.
  16. Not seeing that here. Downloaded your original file and captured the last frame as a still. Did the same with the VP export of the file as an mp4. No difference.
  17. If audio is linked to the video, as with most clips, UNlink it via the right-click menu - on either the video or audio track. Then lock the audio track with the lock icon to its left.
  18. You have included only :02 in the second link, :18 in the first. Still, to my eye, a comparison of closely matching frames in MPC-HC reveals little difference.
  19. Share a sample that looks degraded in VP. Upload to a free server - MS OneDrive, Google Drive, IMGR or the like - make the link public and post it here.
  20. There's no setting. Upload the project and someone will take a look. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Is pan/zoom being used on a still image or video? Nat's alternative should do the job.
  21. Testing the 7.11 free (lite) version here, pan and zoom is exporting both still images ... and video clips correctly, which is what Nat was referring to... However, at last test, 7.12 beta was not exporting pan and zoom stills.
  22. A few clips do pause momentarily at their head. On a project of this nature it's tough to tell whether that's an error.
  23. The link to 7.11 is in the post above, or simply download from the Videopad home page. Licensing info is here... https://www.nch.com.au/support/reg.html
