    15fps how?

No dumb questions. In the export box there is a FRAME RATE field. Click the chevron to its right and test one of the 15fps options. That doesn't determine playback speed though, it's frames per second. The default duration of each still image is set under OPTIONS|MEDIA tab. Sequence image length is changed manually by selecting image and specifying its duration in the box under the preview window... or by right-clicking|SET DURATION.
  2. The VOB files would occasionally play at the start, then freeze. After being converted to AVI the project loaded to about thirty minutes, but there were large gaps, which is apparently where your missing material went. We'll continue to pursue this with the developers. Tested six different converters and none created files that matched the length of the VOBs as seen in Videopad. The issue, it appears, is the files themselves. If there is an alternative method or format for extracting the files from the DVD please try it and submit the files here. How "everything looked good" to you originally is a true puzzlement.
  3. A bug report has been filed on various problems encountered with the VOB files, and there's little chance that you could fix them. In what manner did you download/save them? Here, for a limited time, is the downloadable revised 9:55 AVI project at 720 x 480. About 2GB. Please confirm if it contains all the material that you edited. https://1drv.ms/v/s!AmKCN6jvYsvCky4157Xn4FrpZoFc
  4. Two clips appear to be missing: VTS_02_3 - copy.VOB and VTS_02_2 - copy.VOB They can be uploaded and linked independently, without resorting to uploading the entire project.
  5. Each test appears to contain somewhat different material. On the "mp4 copies" snippet there's a jump cut between clips two and three, where speed was changed from 333 to 350. Experimenting here, eliminated clip 3, then extended clip two to fill the gap. Split clip 2, with the first section at 150 and the second at 350. That resulted in a reasonably smooth speed up at the merger. Other approaches: speed up each clip, export it, and import it back into the project at 100% speed. Or use a fade between clips that have two different speeds. On the "mp4 no copies" snippet can't spot a problem. The MTS test is a mess. And there's something odd about the audio track meter display on all the tests - multiple bars hint at multiple channels?? Once again, there are no extra frames evident between clips in your initial snippet, where the speed drops from 333 to 100%. In v7.11 preview or viewed as an mp4 export in MPC-HC, action is smooth and seamless, as confirmed by Nat. It appears that you see something that we cannot. mp4_copies.mp4 No_copies.mp4
  6. The only way others can see what you see is by sharing your project. http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ Post the public (shared) link here.
  7. To cycle through bookmarks use <ctrl-shift-right arrow or left arrow>. To select one in particular use this menu. In this case bookmarks were named 1,2,3,4.

    confused

Assuming that the replacements were identical (but for the dot) to the originals, this should be no problem. UNlink, then lock the audio track, using the 'lock' icon at its left. Then drag each replacement over its counterpart onto the sequence. Report results here.
  9. Repeat your tests using v7.11, to eliminate a possible bug in earlier versions. Preview resolution has no effect on export resolution.
  10. Perplexing. The MTS conversion suggestion may have no effect but is made because those files have occasionally caused issues, still being tracked down. Export will output ONLY the sequence currently on the timeline and conversions can be batched with Prism. The procedure outlined above, slightly revised, is but one method of specifying segments and then placing them on the timeline. It's pretty straightforward. If results are poor, the optional speed change save/re-import may hint at what's causing the issue. If extra frames persist, please upload and link the entire project as it stands. It needs to be checked out.
  11. Tested an audio keyframe plot, as outlined in the above post. There was silence when the slider value was zero, as in this example... Or right-click on the audio track for FADE IN/FADE OUT options. Fade time is fixed, despite what duration is entered. An apparent bug in v7.11.
  12. A bit more testing revealed that a clip placed on the sequence after being stabilized displays the "stabilized" label on its sequence clip. But if the clip is first placed on the sequence, then stabilized - no label. In either case, a right-click on the sequence clip, then on PROPERTIES lists it as stabilized.
  13. You can add effects to a clip by right-clicking it in the bin and choosing effects, then stabilizing and placing the clip on the sequence... or by applying the effect to the clip that's already on the sequence, then right-clicking it in the bin and stabilizing. Either way, the sequence clip will have the effect and stabilization. After stabilizing, the bin clip will be replaced with the stabilized version and the original will vanish, as Nat noted.
  14. Or, the alternative suggested earlier... If ALL clips are to be stabilized, export your edited sequence, then import the resultant single clip, and stabilize that clip. May or may not achieve the desired result, but it's worth a try.
  15. If working with large, hi-res source material Proxy Editing may reduce the load, resulting in a faster, better experience. But that doesn't address the stabilization issue. You might also toggle Use Hardware Accelerated Video Effects, under OPTIONS|EDITING tab and see which setting gives best results.
  16. A video or audio offset is not an effect. It's the result of placement on the sequence. A template of effects can be created and applied in the same manner as single effects are applied. The template won't include an offset or stabilization. The process might be along these lines... 1. Apply effects and/or the templates you have created to the clips on the sequence. 2. Make the offset adjustments, to bring A/V into sync. 3. When satisfied, export the sequence as an mp4. 4. Import the resulting file, which will now be a single clip (discrete original clips are merged). 5. Right-click in the bin and stabilize the new clip, then add it to the timeline. This assumes that your intent is to stabilize all the original material. Use FILE|SAVE PROJECT AS regularly (not FILE|SAVE} and increment its # so as to not overwrite a prior save. You can then revert, should problems arise.
  17. Multiple errors. Suggest that you approach it this somewhat convoluted manner... Place one source file on the timeline. Export it as an mp4. Clear the timeline. Place the other source file on the timeline. Export it as an mp4. Clear the bin of the MTS files and load it with the converted mp4s. In the bin, click the first file. Under the preview window, set IN/OUT points with the red and blue START and END brackets.* If the same clip is to be used for other segments, right-click on it and COPY. Then right-click an empty area of the bin and click PASTE (clip). Set new IN/OUT points. When all segments have been made into individual clips, drop them onto the timeline. Use ADD (under the preview window), which adds them to the end of existing clips, right-click on each and PLACE ON SEQUENCE AT END or drag them individually. When done with the first file's clips, click the second file. Set IN/OUT points and follow the same procedure. Apply the speed up to the desired clip on the timeline. -0-0- If the speed change results in flash or unwanted frames, follow this procedure... Speed up the clip, then right-click it and COPY Click the + sign at the right side of the SEQUENCE ONE tab above the timeline, to create a new, blank sequence 2. Right-click in the sequence area and PASTE (insert). Export sequence 2 as an mp4. Click the SEQUENCE ONE tab. ADD the newly created sped-up file to the bin. Drag it to the timeline, directly over the original. It should replace the original. Your result? * After clicking the AUDIO tab on the toolbar there's a "scrubbing" item. Confirm that it's turned off.
  18. It's possible to save effects as a template, to be later applied to multiple clips. After specifying the effect/s click the SAVE folder in the toolbar (fourth from the left) and name the template. It will be listed at the bottom of the effects window. Separate templates can be created for audio and video. Later, select clips to which the template is to be applied, click VIDEO or AUDIO EFFECTS on the toolbar (not on the clip) and answer yes to the apply to all query. As for clearing the drive, perhaps a Windows .bat file or other means...
  19. Again, the extra frames at the junction of the two clips are not seen here in the project that you linked. Please link the latest full project. Did you intend for the winch to be displayed briefly at the very head of the earlier 1:00 snippet?
  20. Not seeing reports or evidence of that here. Specifically, what bugs? What are your PC's specs: CPU, GPU, drive free space, RAM? Share the project that's giving you problems and someone will check it out. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  21. The region deletion should do the job. And speed differences may account for the snippet. Yet, no flash is detected here between clips in your project. There is, however, the 'extra' winch shot at the head of the sequence. Took your clip and cut out two random sections and placed them on the timeline - the first at 333 speed and the second at 100%... No flashes or unwanted video were seen either at the head or merger of the clips. But this did not duplicate your precise cuts or timings.
  22. What version of VP are you running? Two clips play here, for a total length of approximately one-second. The first displays the winch for about .105, then the root for the duration. The second displays the winch only. No extra video is evident at the head of clip two. Try Clearing Unused Cache Files under OPTIONS|DISC tab, then reload or reconstruct the project. To spot whether there are unwanted clip fragments switch to Storyboard mode where individual clip thumbnails are shown. Even if there is no errant clip, Storybook mode should make it easy to split out the unwanted content and delete (ripple).

  24. Select (highlight) the desired videos in the bin (top-left) by holding down <ctrl> as each is clicked. Right-click on one of them. Click STABILIZE VIDEOS.
  25. Firstly Rob, use v7.11 to eliminate a possible bug in earlier versions. Preview resolution has no effect on export resolution, but users can be misled when PV res doesn't match the export res. The next VP version will attempt to end this confusion. A 2560x1920 image was scaled from 4:3 to 16:9 here. Text that filled the 16:9 preview window width was added. Export using default settings in either AVI or mp4 at 1920x1080 results in a 16:9 image with full text, same the 16:9 preview screen. An export at NTSC chops the text and changes aspect ratio to 4:3, as one would expect, since it is 640x480.
