  1. Check out your other thread - "Two Camera Editing" - where there's a split-track method outlined that will display (a portion of) each track simultaneously. Tested that approach here, and it worked well. There was no sync issue with simply creating gaps in track two where track one is to be shown. In fact, track one can probably be locked.
  2. Two thoughts... Under OPTIONS|EDITING, toggle the Use Hardware Accelerated Video Effects box and see if that has an impact on your result. Here is the 7.31 beta version, which is subject to change on a regular basis and may have its share of bugs. It's under development.
  3. Your original file, slowed in VP 7.31 (beta) looks to me about as smooth as one might expect. The "insert transition frames when speed is reduced" box was checked. Old versions are available here.
  4. 4 GB RAM is usable, if marginal. 8+ would be better as video editing is resource intensive. One thing you might do prior to beginning a new project is click OPTIONS|DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Loading will be slow at first, but once the clips are cached a reload will be faster. Share your project, as detailed above, and someone will check out how it exports. You might also consider upgrading to the latest Windows version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.

    Buggy Playback

Let others have a look... Please share your project. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT.
  6. Place your main image ride on track one. Use size, scale, transparency, position on the map and overlay it on track two.
  7. Best to start a new thread with a descriptive subject. But since we're here...check out this recent thread.
  8. You tried a right-click on the gap and CLOSE GAP? That's a very old version. Consider upgrading. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  9. Don't believe so. Bottom line, export is smooth (using the latest VP) at 60fps constant, as seen in the link above. Exporting at that rate is likely what would be recommended.
  10. Try the link above, Nat. Can't say what's happening, but perhaps a developer will chime in to enlighten.
  11. But of course. Please share your project so others can analyze it. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/

  13. Glad all is well. Just tested your project in 7.25 on a slower PC and it exported in about :45. Ours is not to reason why.
  14. Odd. Here it took all of ten seconds to export as an AVI (default settings). Update to the latest Windows release and see if results are better. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.

  16. There are a number of ways to do what you appear to want. Here's one... Place the first image on track one. Position the scrubber (red line) where the second image is to begin. In the bin, right-click the second image and OVERLAY ON SEQUENCE AT CURSOR Repeat this for subsequent overlay tracks. If you're patient, courteous and specific in describing your attempts someone will help. Good luck to you!
  17. Unable to test an Apple version here, sorry. The issues you raised are being investigated.
  18. Check into the Debut forum - the one is for Videopad. And look here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOY-_pxmeQ0
  19. Right! Forgot about CROSSFADE in effects - which is essentially a transition. For applying it to multiple clips use the toolbar transition icon, as outlined earlier. That said, once APPLY TO SELECTED or ALL is chosen in that manner, thereafter using crossfade in the effects box also applies to selected or all. No crashes on Fade Out here in 7.31.
  20. Unlock the audio tracks. The volume controls are still there, if the project (not the export) is loaded. Either double-click the clip on the sequence, to bring up the audio waveform in the preview window - where gain can be adjusted by dragging the blue line - or click on the speaker icon in each clip. There's no reason that adding audio should adversely affect a project. Use FILE|SAVE PROJECT AS regularly, giving it a unique # or name.
  21. That's a new one. Possible corruption. Worth checking your hard drive. At the elevated (administrative) command prompt type "chkdsk" <enter> and see if it finds errors. To get to that prompt In Windows 10, type "command" into the search bar (bottom-left of screen), then right-click on the result and choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. It should report that no further action is necessary. As for Videopad, UNinstall, using this tool. Take care to delete ONLY Videopad entries. Then reinstall. That should give you a fresh start.
  22. Once you have typed the text, drag the text clip from the bin (top-left) onto the sequence, if it's not already there. Click the FX button at the bottom-left of that clip. This will open the effects window. Choose the POSITION effect. In the preview window, drag the 4-headed arrow. The window and text will move.
  23. The aspect ratio issue appears to be a bug, which is under investigation. Didn't spot artifacts on the PC screen, but your clips have not been viewed on a large screen TV.
