  1. The vpj file is not playable. It's an instruction file for Videopad, so a project can be reloaded exactly as it was when the file was written - provided that the source files for the project have not been moved, renamed or deleted. Once editing is complete, export your project in a format of your choice. The default Mp4 should work well with Windows Media Player. When an audio file is added (imported) into Videopad, it should play. So If the problem is no audio, be sure that the track isn't muted or turned down. See the 'speaker' icon and sliders at the left of the track. Or right-click the audio track and UNmute.
  2. Did you create it as a DVD Movie? Did you add a menu? If so, which menu? Share your project here and someone will check it out... Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material you can link it in a personal message (PM) to me, via the envelope above. Be sure to FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it.
  3. True. What your link displays is the height limitation of the video tracks. Click the chevron at the top-right of the VP window and file a suggestion. Overlays can be used for transparencies, picture-in-picture, other effects. While transitions normally apply to adjacent clips on the same track, it is possible to transition between tracks.. In this case a fully transparent blank clip was added to the head of the overlay image. The X in the blank clip was clicked and a heart was chosen for the IN transition. Then the X in the overlay image was clicked and a heart chosen for the OUT transition. https://1drv.ms/v/s!AmKCN6jvYsvCoAqQyecx-Or3ccX2?e=5szWcQ An overlay track can fade in and out. Click the f at the head of the overlay and specify a duration. At the end of the overlay click the X and specify a crossfade duration.
  4. Pull down the resizing bar that is above the audio track and the video will enlarge. Or on the toolbar click HOME, CLIPS or SEQUENCE. To reset the interface, click the 'hamburger' three-lined button at the top-left of the window, then the VIEW choice. In the drop-down menu, click Restore Default Layout.
  5. Under OPTIONS]DISK tab there is the option to Clear Unused Cache Files. That can be done at any time. It's not a bad idea to clear it prior to starting a new project. Thereafter, if you haven't cleared the cache, VP will reference it when restoring that project, so loading time should be much faster. The audio files totaled 212MB, a reasonable size. Does the stabilized video clip have audio? If so, that's apparently what's causing the 'bloat.'
  6. Okay, but for the missing video file: Stabilized.avi. Please upload it - separately if you like. Link it here. The files submitted in your link, which includes all audio, add up to a cache size of 212MB.
  7. Upload and share. Someone will take a look. Click the link above for instructions.

Position the scrubber (red line) where you want the file to go on the sequence. Right-click the file in the bin and Place on Sequence at Cursor. Or simply drag the file to the sequence, where you want it placed. A row of chevrons or arrows defines clip boundaries as clips are dragged from side to side on the sequence.
  9. If the direct-to-YouTube uploader is not working in VP's latest version file a bug report. Click the chevron at the top right of the VP window to access that option. The developers will see your comments. Here's the skinny on what YouTube accepts. https://learn.g2.com/youtube-video-size
  10. What version of Videopad is in use? Here's the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old licensed installer and registration info should you want to revert. If you continue to encounter direct-to-YouTube upload problems, simply save your project in one of their accepted video formats - 3GPP, AVI, FLV, MOV, MPEG4, MPEGPS, WebM and WMV. MPEG4 commonly uses the .mp4 file extension. Then use their uploader.
  11. Is VP configured to cache to the hard disk? Set that under OPTIONS|DISK tab. Upload the project, with stabilization, and someone will check it out... 13. What version was used to create it? Let's check it out. 14. It's not inconceivable that the preview res may gloss over a black frame. Your trap overlapping is a good approach. If you expand the track, with the slider at the bottom-right, you might be able to spot gaps that will cause a flash. As a track is slid left or right a line should appear when one ends and the other begins.... . Checked out a right-side text here and it stayed put on the export, so could not duplicate your result. This isn't a subtitle is it? If that's the case, click the box and Apply To Selected.
  15. Please share your project, as described in the link above, and we'll check out the sync.
  16. So you created a Video file - not a DVD - which was inserted into the TV USB port? What export format - Mp4, AVI, MOV, etc.? No it's not mandatory to purchase, but after a trial period you may find some features disabled. Here's a link to the latest 'lite' version: https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/kb/free.html Upload your project and others will check it out.
  17. Is it out of sync when played in Videopad. Is this a DVD Movie export made with Videopad? Does the TV or player have a sync offset adjustment?
  18. Let's hear it, Grumpy, and someone will check it out. Please share your project so others can analyze it. 19. Look under OPTIONS|EDITING tab and toggle Use Hardware Acceleration. See if that changes things.
  20. What version was used to create the project? Please share the project so others can analyze it. 21. Thirteen files appear to be missing. See my personal message. Was v7.30 used to create the project? What export resolution is desired?
  22. Beta 7.32 appears to have corrected the issue, should you want to check it out.. Remember that betas are test versions and are subject to frequent revisions.
  23. You are absolutely correct. Misread it. The links have been updated to the 7.02 version, which should display the DVD Movie export with the correct A/R.
  24. Just pass along the link to your friend or give her/him a copy of the file that you saved. This issue will be corrected, as the developers are aware of it. You cannot buy that version. For now, suggest that you simply use it as a trial. Certain features may be restricted. If you purchased, try your registration code. Check in later to see whether the latest version has corrected the A/R problem with DVD Movies.
