  1. What version of VP is being used? Here's the latest. Try it. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. If you share the project someone will check it out and resolve the issue. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/ If it contains sensitive material link it in a personal message (PM). Click the envelope above. It won't be passed on or retained. Use FILE|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT AS, not simply SAVE PROJECT, and don't forget to share it.
  2. May be a shadow scaling issue. Displays a decent drop shadow (when used with Outline) at small font sizes, but this decreases as font size is increased.
  3. Are you in the MATCH MONITOR mode? Click the chevron to the right of the View button. This may give a better representation of what the export will look like. Try using the LETTERBOX or CROP TO ASPECT RATIO in the effects window for the clips that aren't correct. On export do the same. If you upload the project, share it (make it public) and post the link here someone will analyse the issue. It's easy, and can be private... 4. Adding to Nat's comments, moving a middle clip without shortening what follows can be done by first selecting all those clips. No need to group them. If clips to be used later are stored on a separate track, lock the track so it won't be affected by editing. When needed, unlock and drag clips to the active project. In the v8.12 beta version tested here, dragging clips - including the last clip - leaves a gap whether <alt> is pressed or not.
  5. Again, the only way to suss this out is for you to upload and share your project, which can be done privately. Then someone can run it just as you see it. What version of VP is being used? What are your PC's specs: CPU/GPU/RAM/free space on C:? Mention specific times where these errors occur, if possible. This isn't difficult. See above linked instructions.

  7. Preview res is tied to monitor res now and cannot be changed. If your machine is struggling, this may be an option. It's a technique employed when working with large files or marginal hardware. You can also test more recent VP versions. Here's the current release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest.
  8. Interesting info... https://www.nch.com.au/speech/index.html Pause dots do seem to have their limits. Try alternating single dots with single spaces, or throw in some carriage returns. Seems to go only so far. The most effective way to add a pause is to place the clip on the sequence, split it, and drag the parts apart, leaving blank space between them. pauses.mp4

  10. If slides are placed on the sequence their individual and cumulative duration is shown on the timeline just above the thumbnails. Of course, this doesn't save the timings to a file. If slides in the BIN are given custom durations, timings can be seen by switching into LIST VIEW. If slides on the SEQUENCE have been changed in duration, drag the changed slides to the bin. They will appear in the list with (1) designations that show the current duration. This list or lists can then be copied to an image file with Windows snipping tool or a screen grab and saved to a file... They will be cleared from the sequence. After capturing the list, simply press <ctrl-Z> repeatedly to step back - restoring the clips to the sequence. As for text-to-speech, each WAV can be positioned on the sequence. Say you have ten seconds of slide with five of audio. Simply place/drag the WAV clip to the desired position under the slide.
  11. Can't test a Mac here, but if it does come down to creating new sequences for each clip... Split out each segment and COPY | PASTE each to new, individual sequences. Then invoke the drop-down File menu and EXPORT ALL SEQUENCES. Works well in Windows.
  12. Someone will be glad to suss this out for you if you take a minute to upload and share your project - which can be done privately. 13. You didn't make the file public, but access has been requested by Krosnafone. Grant it, and we'll take a look. https://tinyurl.com/ub87mwx Or, in Google Drive, right-click on a file and SHARE. Copy the link and paste it here.
  14. You may need to reinstall several times (no need to download again). There are several UIs offered under the same version #. Check your PM.
  15. v8.10 here Nat. First, drag to make a selection, then the icons should appear.
  16. Yet another approach... Place the mouse pointer over the cursor (red line) until it displays two arrows. Drag the ine, to create a shaded selection that corresponds to a segment for export. On the pop up click the EXPORT SELECTED REGION. Or right-click the selection and do the same.
  17. No, the extensions are not relevant. Describe specifically what you mean by "go together?" Moving the audio track so it lines up with video, as above, would normally be what's needed. If moving the separate audio track is affecting the video (and likely its linked audio), lock the video. Right-click to the left of its track and LOCK TRACK. Share your project and someone will take a look. It's not difficult, can be private, and is the best way to sleuth out issues. 18. If reading it in a browser, press <ctrl-F> to enable a FIND box. If the following file is downloaded, the PDF reader has a search function. Click the three-lined hamburger menu at the top-right and Find In This Page. http://tinyurl.com/y82bqdyq
  19. In the bin, right-click the file and SAVE AUDIO CLIP AS NEW FILE. It should land in the Music folder on your PC. But that can be changed in OPTIONS | DISK | CAPTURED AUDIO. A clip on the timeline is easy to edit in WavePad. Right-click the audio track and EDIT IN WAVEPAD. Make the changes there, then click APPLY. Close with the red X at the top right and SAVE. The revised file will replace the clip on the timeline and the bin, but the original file in the PC folder will be unchanged. Make a mistake? Press <ctrl-Z> to step back, change-by-change.

    No audio at all

Win 10 here on a similar processor. Make a report. Try VP on another machine.

    No audio at all

Odd. What are those PC specs? What brand of processor - Intel or AMD? Plays fine here in the latest versions. Report this via the chevron at the top-right of the VP window or via the tech form, linked above. Mention the PC specs and please refer to this thread... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/30268-no-audio-at-all-flatline/?tab=comments#comment-79206
  22. If the audio is a single, UNlinked (from video) track, simply click on it and drag left or right. If audio is several cuts and you want to move them all in concert, first select (highlight) them all. Hold down <ctrl> and click each one or click the first, then hold down <shift> and click the last, Drag. Record_2020_02_25_07_11_03_13.mp4
  23. Select (highlight) the clip to be moved and press <ctrl-X>. It will vanish and clips to its right will ripple to the left, to fill the gap. Reposition the cursor (red line) to the clip margin where the deleted clip is to be inserted. Use the ||< and >|| buttons under the preview window. Press <ctrl-V> to paste the previously deleted clip at that point. It will insert, pushing later clips to the right. Move_clip.mp4
  24. First thing, reboot the PC. If the file is still there, and cannot be deleted, this may help. A Net search for "undeletable files" will reveal many suggestions.

For experimentation's sake, try this version. What are your PC's specs: CPU, GPU, free space on C:. RAM?
