  1. Using the same effects as you described, export looked the same as the previewed sequence. Under OPTIONS | DISK tab, Clear Unused Cache Files, then try the export again. What version of VP is being used? Upload the project and someone will check it out. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  2. Assuming that these 'tracks' are individual song clips, place them one after another on the sequence audio 1 track. You can select them all in the bin, then right-click and Place On Sequence. Place one still on the video track at the beginning of the first song. Drag its right-handle to the right until it's at the end of the first song. Use the slider to expand the timeline, along with the horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of the window, so the relatively short stills can be seen... Add the next still immediately adjacent to the 1st and drag its right handle to the end of the second song ... and so on. Then add fades, transitions or other effects to each still, if desired. Still images can be shortened or lengthened by dragging their handles. Still clips can be positioned by dragging them left or right. If you make a mistake immediately press <ctrl-Z> (EDIT | UNDO) to go back step-by-step. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. This creates unique VPJ control files that the program uses to map sources, effects, transitions, etc. Double-clicking on a VPJ will load a project into Videopad. Never move or delete source files until you are certain you will never need to edit the project again.
  3. There are a number of ways to accomplish this. Here's one... (You may want to unlink A/V prior to the procedure) Select all the clips and press <ctrl-C> (EDIT | COPY) Click the + sign at the right of the Sequence 1 tab to open a new blank Sequence 2 In Sequence 2, press <ctrl-V> (EDIT | PASTE) Click the Sequence 1 tab to return to that sequence Delete all the clips that were copied. Holding down <alt> should leave a gap, but that's not necessary. Place the scrubber at the start of the first clip that was deleted. Use <shift-left/right> to be precise Up above the bin, click the Sequences tab Right-click on Sequence 2 and Paste On Sequence at Cursor You now have a single clip, comprising all the pieces Apply the Pan and Zoom
  4. This may be due to a missing component. Two files were provided for placement in this folder... "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" (or the Components folder may be in a path that has no (x86), but is otherwise the same).
  5. Text clips have no green caching line. That's normal. Install this version and see if there's an improvement. If not, take a minute to share your project. Someone here will check it out and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... 6. UHD oddities like those you describe may be a result of VP 32-bit memory limitations. That shouldn't be a problem with the 64-bit version, now being phased in Here's the 'free' version, but suggest that you license to get the full package. The YT video most recently linked in my PM looked fine full-screen (24"). There's no need for oversold UHD on PC screens, IMO, but the user is the judge.😉 Retested a direct-from-timeline YT upload, choosing 1080 resolution. That resulted in a 1080HD Youtube video that looked as good as the one uploaded recently via their uploader. So 'direct' vs. 'theirs' doesn't appear to be an issue.
  7. Looks as if you have found the fix... The RAW file plays well in MPC-BE but that's about it. It is distorted in VP and another editor. In fact, there's no video at all in the other editor. The TEST file is distorted in MPC-BE and plays through in VP but blanks out after about five seconds in the other editor. Windows Media Player and another viewer didn't do much better - either they hung, wouldn't play the files or displayed only a few distorted seconds. Results were the same in Videopad 8.45 and 10.12 (beta). Sorry for the bad news, but this is a file issue. Did you create them in a different manner for your prior projects? What happens if you load elements from the RAW without remuxing?
  8. Let's take a look. That way others can see what you see. Share a clip or two. Just upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. Using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  9. Please leave your Dropbox files intact for a few days, so they can be accessed by the developer. Thanks. There may be an issue with the way the project was created. Your 53:17 source file loads into VP from the project as 52:22. However, when that file is independently loaded (not from launching the VPJ) it is the correct length. And there's also another file, not used in the project, that loads as 55:23. It's unclear why that's that file is even there. A higher quality YouTube test is linked in the Personal Messenger thread.
  10. The re-encoded 1080 mp4 looks fine and is 4:47. There would be little quality difference with lossless export IMO. As noted, you might try using the YT uploader for the 1080 mp4. Any resulting loss from that file is not likely due to VP. Your source mp4 (53:17) generates a "possible corrupt file" error, so the genesis of the issue may be with that file. A developer may take a look. If any insight comes my way it will be passed along here. Thanks for sharing.
  11. Do not export losslessly. A re-encode export looks good. Check out our P.M. discussion. Don't spot any sync issues, either in preview or in a viewer after export. But then, you're the musician.😉 The lossless oddity will be reported. Backward compatibility can't be guaranteed, but results here hint that it is good. Should be no need to uninstall - try an over-install. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  12. Thanks for sharing your project. Didn't spot the issue you cited, but there were some rough spots that may have thrown things off in the dated 8.96 version. Fixed a jump cut at 1:26 and a rough dissolve at 3:22. Tracks were consolidated a bit ... see the PM for a link. Click DOWNLOAD to save two files to the PC, then run the VPJ file to load it. In general it's best to transition between adjacent clips, rather than between clips on different tracks. The fewer the tracks the cleaner.
  13. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Yet there's no mandate to update if the release you're using now is doing the job. It doesn't expire. Newer versions can always be test driven, unlicensed, to see if they have features that you need. Just retain your licensing info and the installer (though it is available on line).
  14. Try your export as an AVI instead of mp4. That often succeeds. If not, install this version. Better still, license the program.
  15. https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/versions.html Here's a link to the 10.10 64-bit version.
  16. No, the VPJ file won't be of much use. What will is sharing the project. Just follow these steps closely and someone will check it out. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. What version of VP is being used? Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  17. Very odd. Try an install of the version linked above. Seeing a .jpg won't help. Upload and share a bad file or two and we'll get to the bottom of this.
  18. You load an mp4 onto the timeline and sound plays there for only three seconds? Does it play when the file is double-clicked in the BIN (top-left)? Under OPTIONS | DISK tab, Clear Unused Cache Files. If that doesn't help, try the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If still no joy, upload the file in question and someone will check it out. Use a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. Using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  19. Dunno. Seems pretty swift to me. Using method two, above, once a custom template has been saved - with all desired effects - it can be applied to single or multiple clips as easily as any other effect. Suggestions are always welcomed. Click the chevron at the top-right of the Videopad window for a drop-down list.
  20. You should never lose your work if you back up routinely and do not move or delete any source files. Always Save Project File AS, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. Save AS creates a unique VPJ control file that can be double-clicked to load the project. Under OPTIONS | DISK tab, Clear Unused Cache Files and see if that resolves the issue. If not, update to the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If problems persist please share your project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER.
  21. No, that's not the case, as explained above. Apply the effect/s, such as the fade animation (graphed above), to the initial BIN clip, Since the initial clip is automatically placed on the timeline (prior to adding effects), delete it from the timeline after adding the effects to its bin clip. Then copy as instructed in the bin, and the effects you programmed on the initial clip will carry over to each copy, which can then be placed individually on the timeline where desired. But there's another approach that may be more straightforward... Do the copy procedure, arrange the clips on the sequence, then on the timeline click any single clip's FX button. Add the desired effects. Click the folder icon on the effects window toolbar. Give your custom effects a name and click on SAVE. That creates a custom effect template that will appear at the bottom of the effects list. Open any clip's effects window and apply it just as you would any other effect. You can even apply it to multiple clips by first selecting them, then applying. Depending upon which VP version is in use, this may also require clicking the "replace chain" button on the effects toolbar. (The one with the check mark.) (Your duplicate post has been deleted, to keep the thread intact.)
  22. Create the initial clip. Right-click it in the bin, choose EFFECTS. In the Blending and Color Correction section apply the TRANSPARENCY effect and plot an animation similar to this... Now proceed with the earlier instructions. Each clip will have the fades. For info on using the animation editor see http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win/effects_animating.html
  23. This should give you an idea... Place a blank clip on track 1 (this will be the background) Overlay mobile video 1 on track 2, directly above Overlay mobile video 2 on track 3, directly above Drag the right handle of the blank clip to the same length as the mobile video clips Click the FX button on clip 1 and apply the SPLIT SCREEN effect, choosing HORIZONTAL 2, REGION A, FIT TO REGION. Do the same with clip 2 but click REGION B. The result
  24. Create the initial clip. Right-click on that clip in the bin and click COPY. Right-click in an open space in the bin and click PASTE (clip). Do this as for as many clips as needed. Drag each clip from the bin to the desired location on the sequence. Double-click on each to open the editor. Revise the text. No other clip other than the one being edited will be affected.
  25. SRT unicode import now succeeds in release 10.12. Retain your registration (if licensed) and installer. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
