  1. Try export to .apng format. It retains alpha channel and is using lossless compression.
  2. Thanks for uploading the files. We are investigating this issue.
  3. Please still upload the project and media file to Google Drive so we can find out what's wrong with H.264 export. Thanks!
  4. Hi @Lorena How many projects you have tried? If there are only some of the projects have this problem or all of them?
  5. Hi @Alexroma Could you please try turn off Lossless Export when exporting - select "Off (Re-encode Video)". If that still crash, is it possible to upload the project (and the media files) on to a file sharing sever (Google Drive, One Drive or DropBox etc.) so we can try to reproduce the issue?
  6. Would you mind give us more information so we can diagnose the problem?
  7. Could you try untick the box in Option->Editing->Use hardward-accelerated video effects. If that doesn't fix it please post your export information here: What do you export to? File, DVD, YouTube etc. What's resolution, frame rate etc. Have you chosen any codec other than the default?
  8. New: Added new title templates. Title templates are clips contain specified animation effects. The duration of the animation can be adjusted independently. There are 11 title templates added in this release. Added new export feature - Lossless export. This feature will export sections from the input video without decoding and re-encoding therefore the export is much faster and without quality loss. Below are requirements to export a section losslessly: The input video codec is H.264 or MPEG4. Input resolution and frame rate must be the same as output. No overlaying which means the section can only contain one track. No effect applied. No transition. If a clip contains a transition, the section that covered by the transition can not be exported losslessly. Lossless eligible sections must occupying more then 10% of the sequence. Added import/export support for APNG format. APNG format employed lossless compression and allows transparent background (alpha channel). A video project can now be uploaded on to YouTube as 360 degree video. Fixed: Pan & Zoom effect does not work properly if start/end point has changed. Fixed issues uploading videos to YouTube and Facebook. Fixed in some cases transparent overlaying produce incorrect color. Fixed issues for text with empty lines.
  9. If you know how to use an image editing software (e.g. GIMP), you can draw the shape on an image with transparent background. Save the image in PNG format and import it into VideoPad. The transparency will be retained so it can be used as an overlay clip.
  10. Hi Nat, An external image editor can be used to create simple drawings that can be used in VideoPad. We can import images with transparent background as an overlaying clip. We have another product (Express Animate) which is designed to animate drawings. We are working on the integration between VideoPad and Express Animate. Users can create animated drawings from Express Animate and import them to VideoPad as overlay clips - via PNG image sequence or APNG video file format. Best regards,
  11. @andyaUK I saw your screen shot on DropBox. I also tried the project file. It looks like something to do with your display driver. Not only the video, the GUI seems messed up too. We are investigating and try to reproduce the issue. Could you tell us what kind of video card are you using? Could you please also try: Export the video see if it has the same problem as the preview Update the display driver
  12. Hi Nat, Non-linear speed change is on our to-do list. We haven't decided yet but it seems it should be a separated UI for it since the keyframe editor for FX doesn't work well for speed changes.
  13. Hi @jons511 The issue you mentioned has been fixed in the latest version.
  14. Hi @Anthonny VideoPad handles srt files with Unicode encoding. Please try save the srt files as Unicode (Windows Notepad can do so).
  15. Hi @rasberrytea I've send you my email address via PM. Could you please email the screenshots to me and I'll put them on the forum?
  16. Hi @jurrien This is a discussion for old versions. Are you using an older version? If so please try the latest release(v5.03) and let us know if you still have the problem.
  17. Hi, Which codec are you using? Have you tried change encoder settings when export? For example, there is a quality slider in H264 encoder settings. Please keep in mind that video compression are lossy. The higher the quality the bigger the output file.
  18. @fredgolightly Yes, our support team will send you a free upgrade for the next release to try out our new changes on lossless mp4 exporting.

Manually create C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components Copy the folder ffmpeg23 to C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components Try import video see how it goes
  20. Are you logged on as administrator?
  21. Please try manually delete these folders and import videos again: C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components Make sure the internet is available. VideoPad will try to download all the missing components automatically.
