  1. As explained above, VP can export an entire audio/video sequence as an audio-only file. After the audio track has been created, under the video track, and levels and speeds adjusted, follow Nat's instructions above. The result will be an audio-only WAV file, which can be converted to an mp3 in Wavepad, Mixpad or any number of other apps.
  2. "Caveats" means beta releases may have undiscovered issues. Test at your own risk. Usually there's no problem. There's a beta page where these releases are posted. The version #s shown do not always reflect the version that will be downloaded.
  3. The effect is working correctly in the current beta release. Untitled.mp4
  4. Assuming that you want audio affirmations, in Wavepad try the EDIT menu | MIX WITH FILE or BG SOUND options. Ducking is available. In Videopad create a second 'affirmation' track. Ducking settings are under OPTIONS | AUDIO tab. Output the completed sequence as Nat describes above.
  5. Precisely what is meant by "layer?" If repeating the file is the goal, it can be duplicated many times in Wavepad and saved.
  6. Wavepad can also convert a WAV to mp3 easily. FILE | SAVE AS | choose mp3.
  7. Version 11.26 is good for now. There's no need to update if it's working well. New releases can be test driven at anytime - even if unlicensed - to check out features. Retain your old installer and registration. Any version can be had here, whether or not it's within your licensing six-month period. There are several ways of editing (trimming) clips. One is to select a clip in the bin (top-left), then use the buttons under the preview window. Move the cursor to the desired start point, then click SET START. Move it to the end point and click SET END. Then use the ADD button to drop the trimmed clip to the timeline. Note the chevron to the right of the ADD button that provides placement options. The same options are available via a right-click on the clip in the bin. Or a clip can simply be dragged to the sequence. Once on the sequence it can be trimmed and manipulated there. Editing on the sequence does not alter original clips in the bin. The red and blue brackets can be hard to see, especially the blue one when it's far right. They will appear only when a bin clip is selected. When SET END is used, the blue bracket will show up prominently on the timeline. In your case, the Sequence, under the SEQUENCES tab, had been inadvertently trimmed... Normally, that item is not edited. The preview window can be sized somewhat by dragging the white line just above the timeline up or down... Or preview can be undocked via the widget at the top-right. Then it can be positioned, and sized by dragging its borders. There were a number of flash frames - very short snippets - throughout the project. They are easily seen and deleted in Storyboard mode. and may have durations of .001, .203, etc. Very short. (These were not deleted for the revised VPJ.) One way this may occur is when an edit is made near but not directly on a prior split point. To precisely position the cursor between two edits use the ||< and >|| buttons under the preview window to go to the junction. Then right clip on the new bin clip to be inserted and Place On Sequence at Cursor. A final note: Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. Then you're protected, should mistakes occur. <ctrl-Z> (same as EDIT | UNDO) can also be used to backtrack, edit by edit.
  8. Glad it worked out. Whether success on the Desktop PC was due to a newer VP version or a more capable machine is hard to say. Perhaps both? Report the translation issues to the company. Click the chevron at the top-right of the interface and make a suggestion.
  9. To see what clips will look like on your monitor try the MATCH MONITOR mode. Then size each clip using the various A/R Transform or scaling effects to get the desired result. If you submit your project, as instructed above, someone will make more specific suggestions.
  10. Thanks for sharing. What Videopad version is being used? Install this one. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. When loading a project, be patient. Dependent upon your PC's capabilities, it can take fifteen minutes or so to fully cache lengthy or complex work - where all audio is present and the green line is complete above all video thumbnails. After that's done, preview should be smooth. The cause of the partial export is as explained above: the blue bracket must be moved to the far right... Click the SEQUENCES tab in the bin, click the sequence thumbnail and, under the preview window, drag that bracket all the way to the right. Now none of the video is shaded and all will export. There is 'garbage' at the end (a false ending after the song) that you may want to trim off. Place the cursor at the TRUE end, click the top of the red line, then click the blue ] bracket. This will create a new ending point. It's unclear why the ZOOM effect has been applied to some clips. Its parameters haven't been set - in other words, no zoom. Attached, below, is a VPJ control file that incorporates the changes noted above. Sign in to this forum. Download the file to the same folder as your source files. Double click on the VPJ and the project will load. If it asks to resolve any files, click the RESOLVE button, and one-by-one, locate each file that it wants. Click on each in turn. Then you can make further changes if necessary and export the project. problem project Debbie G_rev.vpj

From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. That way, you're protected. Upload when ready. As for your size issue, it likely makes no difference for analysis whether the audio has been remastered.
  12. There shouldn't be those limitations, is yours a licensed version? And look at the bottom-left of the screen - what version is it? Share your project. Someone will take a look and see what's going on. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  13. As said, seems somewhat arbitrary. The feature may is not available in all installs or it may vanish completely.
  14. https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/35317-audio-colours/
  15. That feature shows up in some VP installs but color coding seems somewhat arbitrary. Right-click in the audio track, and you may get a little insight.
  16. At the top left of the bin, click the SEQUENCES tab. Then click the sequence, which will display in the preview window. If there is a darkened area in the thumbnail display, drag the blue and red brackets to their respective beginning and end of the project. Now try an export. If that or Nat's suggestion don't solve the issue please share your project for analysis. It's not difficult and usually results in a fix. Follow these steps closely... 17. Once a bug is verified, the name of the discoverer (you, and a few others in this instance) are submitted to the folks who handle licensing. So there's no need for you to do anything. The request is in the works.
  18. Or a higher numbered release. Beta site #s often don't reflect the actual version - they are placeholders - and numbers may be skipped by release time. The only way to confirm product version is to download and examine the PROPERTIES details... Occasionally minor tweaks are made, as shown by file sizes, while the version # doesn't change.
  19. 11.28 is a beta test version, for folks who want to play. Intel.zip is for Macs. 64-paid is the 64-bit release. EXE is the 32-bit release. You can ignore Steam.
  20. The suggested method for sleuthing out updates is what's done here. Check here for all versions. Of course, there's a six-month window for licensed updates.
  21. To check a release version, occasionally download it from the main page, right-click and examine its PROPERTIES. If the size has changed then it's likely an update. Look at the Details tab to see the product #. There's little need to update each time if what you have is working well. You can test, and reinstall an older release if desired. Other users happened upon the MONO bug prior to Imanuel. Yours was the feathering problem...two issues posted to the same thread, which can be confusing.😖
  22. Not having access to a Mac, the issue can't be analyzed here. You confirm that cache files are gone, so It doesn't appear to be a Videopad fault . Check out some of these sources... https://tinyurl.com/ybzjp7zk
  23. There were workarounds suggested for the MONO issue - use an earlier version or, instead of 'lossless', re-encoding, so your videos should not have been spoiled. We all know that it can be frustrating when dealing with email and phone help desks. There is an upgrade discount for licensed users. It's explained here. Offers do change from time to time, so don't quote me on this, but last checked two current releases could be run unlicensed: trial and free. The trial version may prompt to buy but should be full-featured for a short time. The free one likely has limitations from the outset. If mp4 export isn't available try AVI. Apparently LaRa, who stumbled upon a different bug now fixed, has received a license extension. You should too. Your name has been submitted; there's no need to write or phone.
