  1. https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/35317-audio-colours/ That feature may not be available in all installs.
  2. Seems that no one here has insight on your query. Try here... https://tinyurl.com/r89tpcw Online Color Converter - Easily convert colors among all important formats YCbCr and RGB Colour - YouTube
  3. There's no mandate to upgrade if the release you have is doing the job. Sometimes it's best to wait and see if quirks surface. Newer versions can always be test driven - licensed or not.
  4. The stabilizer is being 'reworked' - this thread has been brought to the attention of the developers.
  5. You can right-click on any bin clip and "Save Audio Clip New File" - which creates a WAV." If instead you have exported the A/V files, open the exported file in Wavepad. Tell it to "continue opening with Wavepad." Then save in the desired format. Some formats may not be available in the free version.
  6. Can't replicate the issue, using the latest 64-bit download... https://www.nchsoftware.com/download/videopadsetup64.exe If the problem crops up again please share a file that does this, and the version #, and someone will check it out. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  7. In Windows, search for FOLDER OPTIONS. Be sure that the "Show hidden files.." item is enabled. Data files can stay. If this effort fails, use this free utility to delete the program and allow it to scan and delete all VP registry files when it prompts. Don't know why VP prompts repeatedly for registration, if it initially confirmed that the program is licensed. That should be stated at the top of the VP window. The fact that these issues cannot be replicated hints at a PC problem. Try another, if one is available. And don't forget to save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar.
  8. What's the format and length of each of the two files? Have any effects, speed changes or transitions been applied? What are the export settings? Install the latest version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If no change please share the project. Someone here will come up with an answer for you. Follow each of these 4 steps closely... Share your project. Someone will take a look and come up with a fix. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  9. Your suspicions are incorrect.🙃 One method is to copy the clips to a separate sequence, then export the sequence. All clips become a single file. Try this: Open a new, blank sequence 2 by clicking the + sign on the sequence tab. Click the sequence 1 tab, select the desired clips, group them, press <ctrl-C> to COPY. Click the sequence 2 tab, press <ctrl-V> to paste. Export sequence 2. If you want to use individual clips in a future project, SAVE the sequence, which will create a VPJ file that later can be imported via clicking this item...
  10. Odd. Exports repeatedly and quickly to local file and to YT here. Has to be an issue at your end. Try this next... Close Videopad, then use Windows Explorer (the file manager) to delete all files in these two folders. "C:\Users\<PC name>\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components" "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components" Reboot, then install the latest VP version.
  11. Uploaded directly to YT without a hitch - 1080 @ 60fps constant. This hints at a local issue. Be sure that drive space is sufficient. Try the YT uploader, after first creating a video file in Videopad. Right-click on the attached files to download a 'mountain' image that eliminates the + . Give it the name k2 and substitute it for the original.
  12. Export the video as a .gif. It will loop, as above. Or use a search engine for... "export video as animated gif"
  13. Menu FILE | ADD IMAGES AS VIDEO. Export as a .gif. Or try .apng. Whether it loops or not may be a function of the player. Both Irfanview and MPC-BE loop it indefinitely.
  14. Obvious sync issue on the full, stabilized file, which is too lengthy to download and test here. Hints that the old VHS is throwing things off?? You might try other stabilization settings, or breaking the file up into seqments, for later assembly.
  15. To assess VP capabilities suggest that you test drive the latest version (64-bit in this case). Then import some clips and overlays and experiment with the many effects - especially these... . While not Photoshop blending, you can achieve pleasing results.
  16. Strangeness. Repeated the test here at 60fps constant and 30-60fps max variable; went smoothly. Share that project. That's the best way to analyze whether it's a VP problem.
  17. Gave it an HD 1080 test here and all was well. Install the latest version and see if there's still a crash.
  18. Perhaps you inadvertently clicked the link button on the clip thumbnail. It's on the right here... To undo mistakes, step-by-step, press <ctrl-Z> or EDIT | UNDO from the menu bar. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. Then you're protected, and can revert if need be. About the only way that comes to mind to prevent accidental unlinking is to lock the track, but that also prevents editing.
  19. Leaning now that yours is a 32-bit PC, use this VP version. Yes, a PC almost two decades old is very long in the tooth, but apparently it gave you good service. Extensive video editing, CAD and the like are best with a 64-bit Intel 7 or 9 gaming class box or AMD equivalent and an appropriate video card. Not familiar with AMD here, but the box you linked looks to be competent. You will be amazed at the difference 19 years has made.😉 Consider working with an independent shop. A knowledgeable tech may be able to recommend a unit that meets your needs without breaking the bank - the 'sweet spot.' Download the export from the link in the PM. Open VP and clear the cache, then import the exported file. That will lessen the load greatly and perhaps allow you to add some final touches. Good luck!
  20. Thanks for sharing. In three different VP versions, Storyboard looked and scrolled normally. No shadows, no video gaps. Did you update the video driver and Direct-X? One file, Planet Pluto Cave had to be resolved because the file name, with an added -002, did not exactly match the named saved in the project. In all releases, the audio track appears to be corrupt, with voice dropping out even though the waveform is present. How that happened is anyone's guess; it's never been encountered before. If you need to adjust audio, split that track alone - not video - using the chevron to the right of the SPLIT button to choose the track. If that's not done, video likely will be displaced. On that project, you should be able to lay down all the images, drop in the initial opening audio music clip followed by the narration clip in its entirety, then add the final A/V clip. Files that were not used were deleted. They needlessly add to the processing load. It's wise to Clear Unused Cache Files (OPTIONS | DISK tab) before beginning a new project. That can be done anytime during editing as well. You may spot that the music on the timeline has become MONO. That's because the project contains two short stereo files and one long single channel (narration) file. To retain stereo at export click the blue Default Qualty / Filesize link and choose the two-channel (stereo) option... https://content.invisioncic.com/r33241/monthly_2022_03/2-channel.jpg.a1806467717ca29d5bc9611b0531cbea.jpg Complex, lengthy projects may require higher processing power than you are running.
  21. Good enough - we'll be standing by. Confirm that your video driver and Direct-X are up to date... https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/kb/1772.html When you retrieve the link, be sure that it's not restricted, but set as "anyone with link can view."
  22. Use standard windows procedure; Select (left-click) the first clip after the gap, then hold down <shift> and select the last. All clips in the range will be selected. Then drag the block to the left. Or, simpler still, right-click in the gap and CLOSE GAP.
  23. Do you menat that the files are in a different order than intended? Don't save, then reopen. Place the clips where they are supposed to be, then... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. 24. Seeing or getting reports of nothing like that here. Must see the project. With it as complete as possible on the timeline, follow the steps above to upload and share please. Most issues are quickly solved. What is the PC's hardware: CPU/GPU/RAM?
