  1. The file was re-encoded with another program. Numerous converters are available, including NCH Prism. You can have segments on individual tracks. And it probably isn't necessary to pull them down to track one as each will play in turn.
  2. There should be no undesired gaps between panels with the split-screen effect. Take a look at the suggestions and examples in the 'sticky' above... https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/31824-efficiently-build-a-stacked-collage-or-virtual-choir/?do=getLastComment Allow the green cache line above all video clip thumbnails to complete. On multi-track projects, the blue ribbon below the preview window should change color. This can take several minutes. Each editing change may require a brief redraw of those lines. After that, preview should be smooth. As of today, suggest using this release. If content is hi-res, consider commonly employed Proxy Editing... https://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/26563-proxy-editing/?do=getLastComment How lengthy is your project? Be sure there's ample free space on the SSD for caching. Sometimes it's helpful to break it into exported parts, for later final export. Before starting a project, go to OPTIONS | DISK tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. This can also be done anytime during editing. Come back here if questions arise.
  3. What version of Videopad is being used? Try the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. What are your export settings? What's the format of the bulk of the source files? How long is the project? Folks here will be glad to help if you take the time to share your work. The process is easy, quick and can be done privately. Just follow these steps... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  4. What VP version? Try the latest. When you refer to "process" is this processing in preview on the sequence or when the project is exported? For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. If no change, share a project that exhibits this behavior. Follow the usual steps as shown in an earlier reply.
  5. The linked export had good quality, despite its small size. In my opinion, especially for WEB-based video, 5G is overkill. Compare the two approaches and you may see little if any difference.
  6. No updates on older versions AFAIK. And no problem with reinstalling, though performance should be just the same as it was earlier. No fuzzy video was seen here. The smaller preview window may look a bit fuzzy, but the 11080HD export is about as clean here as one would expect from a ZOOM session.
  7. Click the envelope at the top-right of this forum. A personal message is there with a link to the downloadable completed project. There's no blank at the head seen here - but there are black blocks occasionally at the top of the screen - within the first :30 or so. Next project, try upping the bitrate (higher quality). It was very low in this video and that may be contributing to both the blocks and sync issues. An update to the current version may also solve the sync problem. It's worth a test.
  8. Preview is the problem; it exports okay and has been reported. Use this version and it should be good in PV as well. Go to OPTIONS | EDITING tab | Advanced. Choose None (CPU only). That should fix the issue for now... There's no mandate to purchase a new key if what you have works well. Newer releases can always be test driven unlicensed - to check out features and quirks. Your paid release never expires and your license is good for any version that's released within six months of purchase. Report specifics here on any issues you run across, listing the version #.
  9. What were the export settings and format? There was something a little funky about that file - it displayed black blocks near the head. After being re-encoded that was solved. Data rate was very low. Next project, try recording at higher quality. Reducing speed to 95%, with pitch retained, then exporting the entire project at default mp4 1080 settings resulted in good sync. This in the current 11.45 32-bit release. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. Check my Personal Message for a link to the downloadable export.
  10. Let's take a look at one of those files. Is what you describe occurring on the timeline sequence, or after exporting to a file? What version of Videopad is being used? Here's how to upload and share the file... Please share a file or two that has the issue. Someone will check it out. Upload the file/s to a free server, such as Google Drive or MS OneDrive, get a shared (public) link, copy the link and paste it here or to me in a Private Message via the mail envelope in the top-right corner of this forum. When using Google Drive, if necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with link can view."
  11. Fuzzy, so tough to assess, but sync seems close, even at the end. Why split the hour? What were the export settings and format? To troubleshoot, please share the one-hour, speed-unchanged project...
  12. Features change from time to time; there's no precise way to say what you will get. Certain export formats, or advanced effects may be unavailable if VP is not registered. Whether you need them depends upon the scope of your projects. For a time, consider sticking with the free version or normal release as an unlicensed trial, and see if a feature becomes disabled that you might want to use. There's always another sale. 😉 Come back here if you encounter problems or have questions.
  13. There are a few Virtual Dub plugins that work with Videopad. They create special effects and seemingly are little employed by VP users. "Fully featured" means that no features are disabled or limited. No way of testing the HOME version here, but assume that you get what's advertised: a maximum of two audio tracks. The free, unlicensed release was just installed on a Windows 10 laptop, and allowed at least six audio tracks at the outset. But it's conceivable that some, along with select effects/transition/other features may be disabled in time. Certainly a minimum of two tracks would remain. Expect 'update' prompts. Install it and explore. As for export, if mp4 balks, try AVI.
  14. If the green line above the thumbnails has completed (for video clips/not still images), then preview should be smooth. But if continued editing is choppy, then wait for the ribbon to complete. At times it may remain blue. When editing changes are made, such as adding effects or transition, there may be a quick redraw of the green line or ribbon. No need to wait for the blue ribbon under the preview window to turn purple or gray prior to export. For complex, lengthy projects use the 64-bit release.
  15. Here's the scoop... https://secure.nch.com.au/cgi-bin/register.exe?software=videopad The 'Masters' version is also known as 'Professional.'
  16. With all changes made on the timeline sequence... Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. Then you are protected, and all changes will be reflected in the latest save. Is this the way you're doing it?
  17. With the file in the bin (upper-left), right-click and Save Audio Clip As New File. By default, it's placed in the MUSIC folder on your PC. This is a WAV file. Many utilities are available if it needs to be converted to another format. That said, it appears that Twitter accepts video files and not audio-only files. Check this out... https://gamecurse.com/en/3-ways-to-upload-and-post-audio-on-twitter-tutorial/
  18. You need not pay or update. The release that you purchased never expires and the ability to use mp4 and all features remains unchanged. Updates are not mandatory. If what you have works well, stick with it. Nothing will be disabled. Unlicensed versions can always be test driven. They are trials until licensed.. Some features may not be available after a trial period. There's also a free version, with basic features.. If mp4 fails, AVI usually succeeds. Or a reinstall of your older version will enable it. Install of the latest release on the NCH site may as well. If you take the time to provide needed info, the peer-support folks here will help work around issues and locate a version that was released within your six-month license window. You won't be out any money and the program won't be hobbled. Many editing, financial and other programs are now offered on only a subscription basis. NCH has that option as well. If you want unlimited upgrades at no extra cost - but for the subscription fee - then that's the way to go.
  19. Export resolution can sometimes rearrange the screen, if it doesn't match source video. You might experiment with that as well.
  20. You tacked on to an old thread and didn't list specifics. Please post details on what you are attempting, the procedure and settings. What Videopad version is being used?
  21. Results of a 2:30, ten-track project exported H265 at 25000kbps with version 11.43.
  22. It appears that this issue is resolved in version 11.43 beta. Give it a go, but bear in mind that it's a test release.
  23. It appears that this issue is resolved in version 11.43 beta. Give it a go, but bear in mind that it's a test release.
  24. Looks as if this issue is resolved in v11.43 beta, a test version. No urgency to install, of course.
