  1. Just audio files and a few stills there. But it loaded fully almost instantaneously as tested in several VP versions.
  2. What Videopad version? Look at the bottom-left corner of the window for that info. Try this release. No need to uninstall, just download the file and double-click on it. Retain your old installer and registration info. You can always go back... For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  3. That shortcut would be handy. If you haven't already done so, request it... https://www.nch.com.au/suggestions/index.html
  4. It's unclear why that would be, but hardware may be an issue. Prior to loading a new project, click OPTIONS | DISC tab and Clear Unused Cache Files. Submit your project for testing.
  5. The MTS sync issue appears to be resolved in the current 11.22 beta version. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  6. The issue appears to be resolved in the current 10.22 beta version. Give it a try, but retain your old installer. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  7. What format are the bulk of the project files? Share your project. Just follow these steps closely... Back up --- With your project on the timeline, click on MENU at the top-left. Click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO FOLDER. Choose a folder and SELECT FOLDER. Upload --- Use a free server - Google Drive, MS OneDrive, etc.* - to upload the saved, numbered FOLDER. Do NOT upload the individual VPJ or export file. Get link --- Get a public link. If using Google Drive click GET SHAREABLE LINK. If necessary change "restricted" to "anyone with the link can view" Share --- Click COPY LINK | DONE. Paste that link here, or click the folder at the top-right of this forum to message it privately to me. It won't be shared. * Before uploading, right-click the folder, click PROPERTIES. Look at the File Size to confirm that it's not too big for the free space on the server.
  8. The developers have been notified, but you can put in your two-cents worth at... https://www.nch.com.au/software/bug.html Users here don't speak for the company, but it is known for granting license privileges to bug reporters. In whose name VP was purchased likely won't matter.
  9. Saving creates a VPJ control file that tells the program how to reconstruct a project. Click on the saved VPJ to load a saved project. Save Project File AS routinely, giving it a unique # or name, so as not to overwrite prior saves. Using Save Project Files (no AS) will overwrite. From the HOME tab, that choice is available by clicking the chevron to the right of the Save Project button on the toolbar. That's your protection. Never remove or move source files until a project has been exported and won't need to be edited further. Backing up a project to a folder (or Save Portable Project As) saves a VPJ file and all the original source files so they can be used to reconstruct the project on any PC. In other words, it creates a portable folder of the project. Direct uploads to Google Drive from the VP toobar test well here. Try again. If it fails, export the project as a video file and make note of where it's saved on your PC. Open your Google Drive account, click New, find the folder and upload the file that you exported.
  10. Version 11.18 (64-bit) is on the NCH page as of this writing but it doesn't solve the feathering issue, which has been reported. Please stay tuned to your original thread for further developments.
  11. Looks as if you have succeeded in your mission ... and that's what counts.
  12. Two issues have been commingled in this thread, and both appear to have cropped up in the VP 11.x series. Recommendations... To solve the MONO problem, use 10.21 or the current release. That's been fixed. Version 10.21 also retains the feathering setting. No doubt that issue will be dealt with as well shortly. When a bug is confirmed, NCH often issues a license extension to the user who reported it. While there's no need to apply, tech support forms are available. Older versions are here.
  13. What version of Videopad is being run? Look at the bottom-left corner of the window. Install the latest. For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info. You might also confirm that the video driver and Direct-X are up to date... https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/kb/1772.html
  14. Nothing need be done to take advantage of the license policy; your issue will be submitted. Clicking on the link above should have offered the 10.21 version. http://www.oldversiondownload.com/oldversions/videopad-10-21-2021-03-16.exe It doesn't exhibit the problem - not to say that's it's completely free of quirks, which come with the territory when complex software is regularly 'improved.' The current release also doesn't have the issue. When a verified bug is reported, it's quickly fixed.
  15. The tech is mistaken, as the 32-bit 11.16 release here is registering considerable GPU activity on an low-end I3 PC export - slightly less than half of CPU load. The O/S is Windows 11 (64-bit). Perhaps your hardware or 32-bit operating systems are not supported?
  16. Your immediate problem may be solved by installing this stable release from a year ago. Your registration likely will be good for it. NCH may issue you a free license in the future as this is their policy when a user comes across a bug.
  17. Can't say. But you may be able to use an unlicensed version in the future when, hopefully, feathering sticks. Be sure to retain your current installer and registration info if you decide to try other releases.
  18. You can always reinstall the earlier licensed version, which should be registered. If you don't have it on hand, look here. Have you tried lossless export with the newer version linked above? See if this version falls within your licensing period. It doesn't have the issue. Re-encode data rates can be changed. In the export dialog click the blue Default Quality/File Size link to access the drop-down choices... Suggest that you write the company, explaining the issue... https://www.nch.com.au/software/bug.html?software=VideoPad or https://www.nch.com.au/support/regcontact.html If you share your project in a Personal Message (click the envelope at the top-right of this forum) it will be exported for you with two channels. The process is easy, quick and the project won't be made public. Just follow these steps carefully... 19. No harm in trying it. Check back with your results. Newer versions can also be tested, even if they haven't been licensed. Retain your installer and registration info.
  20. Suggestions... Install this version. If no improvement close Videopad. Then use Windows Explorer (file manager) to delete all files in these folders... C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components Again install Videopad from the link above. You'll need internet access when you do so. The components will be automatically downloaded when you export again. Be sure that your firewall doesn't block VideoPad from communicating with the server. Check those folders to see if files have reappeared.
  21. No doubt you are exporting as LOSSLESS. This issue has been fixed. Try the current version. Alternatively, click the blue Default Quality /Filesize link and export as Off (Re-encode Video) For licensed users upgrades are free for up to six months from purchase date. After that, VP will continue to fully function but a fee will be required in order to register the newest. Retain your old install file and registration info.
  22. Can't check the Mac version, but it's clean in Windows. Experiment with the settings... Report the issue... https://www.nch.com.au/software/bug.html?software=VideoPad
  23. P&Z and Ken Burns overall are the same. Depending upon install variables, features/options will vary - even with the same release. Repeated installs may change them. No need to re-download. Using beta 11.21, green-line cache time was 5:21 on your 13 minute clip. The gray line under PV completed at the same time, though it's not of prime concern. Seeking and playback were both smooth, even prior to cache completion. Sync was dead on. A variety of effects and text revisions were tested. With some, the green cache began a redraw but PV did not bog down and there was no buffering. Export at default settings ran 2:05 but was a few frames out of sync. Reported. If the MTS was first converted to an mp4 then export took :16. Sync was solid. Please see my Personal Message. Export encoder settings - format and encoder - do seem to stick from load to load.
