  1. The (Windows) install file should be available in this folder: c:/program files (x86)/NCH/Videopad Copy it to the laptop, and run it. This caveat, from NCH... "What restrictions apply to the license? If the license is named as an "Installation License" the main restriction is you need to purchase one license serial number for each computer that the program runs on. Can I move the software or reinstall the software in future? Within reason - yes. As long as the software does not continue to run on the old computer you can install the software on a new computer. As a piracy control measure we do limit the number of installations to 2 times in any 12 month period. Note: we do run an anti-piracy system which can detect multiple installs. But as long as the software (with one serial number) runs on one PC at any one time, you will not have problems."
  2. You can burn each sequence independently. To create a new sequence click the + sign in the SEQUENCE tab above the media window. COPY/CUT and PASTE can be used to move clips from one sequence to another. You can export to an ISO file, then burn multiple DVDs from that file.
  3. Here, just a few threads down the page.
  4. Licensed or unlicensed version? The latter is limited. Specifically, what formats succeed? Try the latest version, 4.44.
  5. You state that you're using 4.4. Have you tested 4.44, which was just released? Clear the CACHE files, under TOOLS menu|OPTIONS|Disk tab and/or c:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Temp\VideoPadCache This may slow initial loading but could clear corruption or conflict between projects or versions. Setup files for older versions that you have installed should be available via your PC's File Explorer, under Program Files (x86) | NCH Software | Videopad.
  6. Your project was loaded into VP here and exported to mp4, avi and mpg. All succeeded quickly with no errors. Under TOOLS menu|OPTIONS|Disk tab, try clearing the cache files. You might also UNinstall the program via Windows Control Panel. Programs and Features. Then reinstall.
  7. No. Create a new, empty folder on the PC. With your VP project loaded on the time line, click FILE|BACK UP PROJECT FILES TO (that) FOLDER. Then upload that folder and link it here.
  8. Put your UKE up on a server, such as Google DRIVE, Dropbox, One Drive, etc. and link it here. Someone will experiment.
  9. Tested two subtitles here, then exported just that portion of the sequence, and the subs tracked. Did you select the SEQUENCE first - under the SEQUENCE tab in the media list at the top-left? It will appear in the CLIP preview window. Then under the CLIP preview window mark INS and OUTS using the red [sTART and blue ]END brackets. Then export.
  10. Specifically, what error message or behavior is encountered? For a clean uninstall, see if this helps, then reinstall.
  11. That should pose no problem. VP can export to Utube, as you likely have discovered.
  12. Click the VIDEO EFFECTS tab, or the FX icon in the clip on the time line, then the green + sign to add an effect. Both rotate and zoom are among the choices.
  13. Effective with version 3.89, the VP release notes stated the following... "When exporting video in H.264 format. VideoPad will perform lossless transcoding whenever possible. It will increase exporting speed dramatically while maintain the original quality of the video. Lossless transcoding can only be applied to non-altered (no overlaying, effect and transitions) sections."
  14. Drop the image to be faded onto the overlay track, which is immediately above the track that contains your video. If you have only a single video track, then the overlay will become track 2. In the time line, click the FX effects icon at the left-bottom of that image clip Or select (highlight) the clip and click the VIDEO EFFECTS menu. Click the green + and choose the TRANSPARENCY effect. Plot keyframes, as outlined here. For your audio track, click on the time line clip. Drag the blue horizontal line far left side downwards, and the volume will be lowered at that point. Anywhere the line is clicked a new keyframe is added, same as video keyframing, so a volume curve can be created. Right-click the clip to see other options. Also examine the right-click menu FADE options for the audio clip.
  15. Turn it on. Click the AUDIO tab in the menu bar, then click on SCRUBBING.
  16. See the recent thread "Building preview ... what again?" Started by Aresby on March 29th.
  17. That is interesting. No doubt the NCH folks would appreciate seeing the comparison. "Color picker" was referring to an eye-dropper that can be clicked within the screen area, to select the precise color, if there are slight variations.

    DVD problem

You're not alone... Over many years, In a commercial TV network setting, "home" burned DVDs tended to be problematic, even when produced on a standalone recorder/player. For no apparent reason they would freeze, glitch, play in machine A but not in machine B, lose audio, etc. When that behavior began, and laser cleaning didn't suffice, we would simply trash the recorder. They're cheap. You did an Express Burn and hinted that you also tried another vendor's product, so that would appear to rule out software as the cause. Despite the "new" PC, have you tested a different burner? If THAT fails, even though it occurs at different points, one might conclude that the production itself has an effect or element that is the cause. Report results here.
  19. Clean chroma keying relies upon good contrast between subject and green screen, which is not the case with your video. You're in the dark. Play around with the blue slider.. Change your lighting. VP's chroma keying is basic and lacks a color picker. Plugins may be available to achieve better results???
  20. Good tips from Nat. To avoid this, simultaneous audio - during recording - should be sync-locked. It's not the fault of Videopad.

    DVD problem

Try EXPRESS BURN and report results here.
  22. There are several ways to extend the duration of an image. One is to click on the length shown just below the preview window, and type in the desired time. <enter> "5.000" should be five seconds. Another is to drag an image clip's left or right border, on the timeline. Both of these methods succeed here.
  23. Don't spot the problem here. Be sure that text and background are different colors or the text won't be seen. In the preview window, the text can be positioned most anywhere. Here's an example.
  24. Check out this very recent thread ... and the link it contains. Experiment with saving a subtitle, then deleting it before exporting the modified sequence. It can be restored by loading the subtitle that you saved. Another approach to test: ADD TEXT in lieu of a subtitle.
