Clips are not included at times when I export
borate replied to togodbetheglory1091's topic in VideoPad
If possible, click the FILE menu and SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT. Then put the result up on a server - DropBox, MS OneDrive, Google Drive, etc. - and link it here. Zip the file, if it's large. Someone will have a look. -
In the text editor choose the FULL BACKGROUND option, at least temporarily. That may help to better visualize text.

There are dozens of export formats and file types. Below, the choices when the EXPORT menu is clicked on the toolbar. Click on VIDEO FILE, for example, and a box offers many formats. If you don't see this then there is something amiss in your installation. Reinstall the latest version.

VPJ is a data file that tells Videopad what to do; it's not playable. EXPORT your project, that's on the time line, to one of many video formats. There's likely no need to convert. Check the HELP (?) file, and see... http://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/kb/1433.html

Hummm, hints at a permissions problem. Next test: You might kill the firewall, then put the file in place (where suggested earlier) and try an export.
-
If you have the will, test an earlier version. If it behaves differently this will help isolate the problem to 5.01.

It's there now. Tested three Mp4 exports: 1280 x 720, 1920 x 1080 normal and 1920 x 1080 lossless. No errors, looked good. Something seems to be amiss on specific PCs. What are the specs for yours? RAM, disc space available, video memory, CPU, etc.

As Nat says in his last paragraph, one method is to create splits at the beginning and end of each 'bad' timeline clip - then right-click those clips and delete them. If there's a gap, right-click and CLOSE GAP. Refer to "splitting" notes in the link above.

That's just the data (vpj) file. We need the project files as well. FILE|SAVE AS PORTABLE PROJECT, then upload that file. If there are many elements, zip it first.

"Server not found." It appears that you forgot to input the URL. Try again, please.

If possible, use the FILE menu to SAVE A PORTABLE PROJECT, zip it if necessary and put it up on a server like Dropbox, MS OneDrive or Google Drive. Some one will test it.

lossless mp4 failed: unknown error, downloads x264enc7
borate replied to fredgolightly's topic in VideoPad
Confusion on release numbers. 5.01 is indeed the latest for both Windows and Mac. Apparently you have tried the suggestions offered by c_major... Delete C:\Users\[user Name]\AppData\Roaming\NCH Software\Components (My installation shows no 'components' in that path.) Delete C:\Program Files\NCH Software\Components (Since this is a 32-bit program, the path here is Program Files(86), etc.) Restart VideoPad and import the files. Make sure stay online so the components can be downloaded on demand. Others may chime in. -

Here, the file path is "C:\Program Files (x86)\NCH Software\Components\x264enc7\x264enc7.exe" But you appear to be running a Mac. Yet another thread on the issue, in case you haven't spotted it already. And here is the file being used in Windows 7. -

Any help in this thread? -
This thread may help. Pay special attention to Nat's suggestions.

Right-click the audio in the timeline and UNLINK FROM VIDEO, then either mute it or delete it. You have the original elsewhere. Now try dragging your new file to an audio track.
-
Videopad, as its name suggests, is primarily a video editor - with limited audio capabilities. Test them with a free trial download. Investigate Wavepad, another NCH product, that can work in concert with Videopad. It may be just the ticket. Free trial on it as well.
-
Try Wavepad. Clips or the entire audio track can be exported from Videopad, corrected, then imported back to the timeline. This thread may help.

update version Update to newest version free how?
borate replied to aleksipaleksi's topic in VideoPad
This may answer your query. -
If possible, please upload the new project and link it here, so someone can check it. FILE menu|SAVE PORTABLE PROJECT. Zip it if necessary.

Click on the OPTIONS icon. Under the media tab check the "automatically normalize audio volume" box and see if that does the job If not, an external audio editor, such as Wavepad, may be your best bet.
