  1. Right-click in the preview window and lower preview resolution and/or frame rate. May help. Allow time for the green line, above the preview window, to complete. Be sure there's ample free space on the that 1TB SSD. If source files are very large, check out this process, which can smooth and speed previewing, especially on lower-end PCs. Video editing is resource intensive. See how your CPU stacks up against I7-class NVidia processors.
  2. Two videos, one 9:16 and the other 16:9, exported at mp4 default settings resulted in what you apparently desire . Click. If this doesn't succeed for you, upload a few of each type to MS OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive or the like and link them here. Someone will check it out.
  3. Successfully tested two .gif files from the Net. Both loaded to the VIDEO bin and displayed the requisite frames. Length in VP varied, and was dependent upon structure of the .gif
  4. What version of VP? What format/s are the source files? Here's the latest version of the program. If the sync issue persists, please upload and share the project files, and someone will check it out for you. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  5. Sounds good. Most transition issues appear to be history in 7.10. In tests here, behavior varies, depending upon what transition is programmed on the last clip in a sequence. This makes some sense, as transitions are normally between clips. Yet the fade issue that you reported has been confirmed as a bug and should be fixed shortly.
  6. That's too bad. To comply with Google's space limitations perhaps you can place a quarter or a third of those files on the timeline, save as a Portable Project, zip them and upload to Google Drive. Then paste the shared link here. Be sure to save your full project in its entirety with a unique name that won't be accidentally overwritten.
  7. This version may clear up most problems. They are not seen here. As for a fade out transition at the end of a sequence, that may be correct as there is no clip to fade TO. To overcome that, animate a TRANSPARENCY fade-out preset effect. http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win/effects_animating.html
  8. No need to use the direct YouTube uploader. Export as a video file, then go to YT and upload. Often, VP's "auto-match" resolution setting is optimal, closely matching the source files to the export specs. Just be certain that the output is consistent with YouTube requirements.
  9. As yours is a lengthy video perhaps you can upload just the 4K portion that's not exporting correctly. Place it on the timeline, then click FILE|SAVE AS PORTABLE PROJECT. If there are a large number of files, Zip them. In Windows, select (highlight) all the files, then right-click on one of them and SEND TO|COMPRESSED (zipped) FOLDER. Upload the result to any free server, such as Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive or the like. You may have to create an account. Once uploaded, share the file publicly. With OneDrive, simply right-click on the uploaded file and then click the SHARE choice. Paste the shared link here, and someone will check it out. Before you go to this trouble, please download and install the latest VP version, and try your export once again.
  10. There's a preset available in the scrolling box of the latest Videopad that will stop the text center screen. Try it. For info on how to animate the position (or any other) effect, look here.
  11. Some transition issues are being worked on, and will soon be fixed. Try this version of VP and report back. If no joy, other ideas will be offered. Also, if you upload and share your project here, folks can test. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  12. No way to test this here, but a few suggestions... Right-click in the preview window and try other resolutions - perhaps lower. 13. After capture, when you open the saved file, is there video? Check out these pages for possible clues... http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win/content_capturingvideo.html http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/26595-capture-record-video/
  14. Is this the procedure that you are following? Capturing your video using VideoPad is a simple process. Connect your camera to your computer Open VideoPad Click the Record button on the Home tab toolbar In the Capture Video window that opens, click the record button When you are finished, click the stop button Click the Close button at the bottom of the window Your new video will be automatically added to the SAVE TO folder that you specified.
  15. Older versions are available here. Under OPTIONS|DISK Clear the Unused Cache Files. Also follow these tips. A more recent version of VP is available here.
  16. You can achieve scrolling by animating the MOTION or POSITION effects, as mentioned earlier. For older versions of VP, look here.
  17. Install this release. There are still some bugs to be resolved, shortly, but it may fix your issue.
  18. Upload the project so folks can confirm. What VP version; what are your PC's specs? http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  19. As to crashing... https://www.nchsoftware.com/videopad/kb/1772.html For scrolling, use the effects mentioned above.
  20. Confirmed and reported. Until it's fixed, animate the action. Use the position or motion effect. http://help.nchsoftware.com/help/en/videopad/win/effects_animating.html
  21. Upload one of the files, or a portion thereof, that does not render at 16:9 correctly and someone will check it out. Note in the latest VP versions that DVD movie export offers the choice of either 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios.
  22. There are two transition modes, GENERATE FREEZE FRAMES and OVERLAP. If audio/video are not linked, then the OVERLAP mode could throw them out of sync. Look under OPTIONS|EDITING and set the mode to FREEZE or to ASK. When it does, specify freeze.
  23. In the upload dialog box is there a "file type" field? Does it have a chevron to click that drops down the types to be assessed - with one for videos that include mp4? Does your file meet Instagram's specs? H.264 Codec. AAC Audio. 3 500 kbps bitrate for video. Frame rate of 30 fps (frames per second) Maximum file size of 15 mb. Video must be a maximum of 60 seconds. Maximum video width is 1080 px (pixels) wide.

    Export issue

Check the export resolution, where it's often best to stick with AUTO MATCH. Test other settings as well. If you upload the project and link it here someone will take a look. Here's how... http://nch.invisionzone.com/topic/23659-tips-for-getting-help-on-this-forum/
  25. IMO it's not possible to have a zero-duration image. Something is amiss here. There are a number of ways to change image length... 1. In the bin (top-left), click the image. Under the preview window, click the box that lists the duration and type in a new length. 2. On the timeline. right-click the clip and click CHANGE DURATION. Then do the same as #1. 3. Place the pointer on the in or out boundary of the clip until a bracket appears, hold down the left mouse button and drag left or right. If an image's duration still won't budge, upload that image to a server and link it here. Someone will check it out.
